StevieDay1983
Scunthorpe vs Plymouth It's the next round of matches over this congested Easter period across League One, League Two, and the Scottish Football League. The one game that sticks out for me is this crunch play-off clash between 5th placed Scunthorpe and 6th placed Plymouth. These teams are in complete contrast when it comes to their form. The sacking of Scunthorpe manager Graham Alexander recently was deemed harsh by some but it was 8 games without a win for the Iron. Temporary gaffer Nick Daws saw his side draw in their last game but the winless run is now extended to 9 matches. On the other hand, Plymouth are loving life. Just 1 defeat in their last 10 league games has seen them surge into the play-off spots. We must tread with caution though. Scunthorpe have inconsistent home form but Plymouth are also unable to put any sort of run of results together on the road. They have failed to win on their last two matches away from home. The long trip to Glanford Park just a few days after the emotionally draining 4-0 win against Southend will certainly take its toll. I am torn but the value on Plymouth makes me feel there is space to back them in the Asian Handicap market. On one side, I think Scunthorpe needed a freshening up of ideas. Is Daws the man to do that? It's too early to tell. On the other side, I'm thinking that the Pilgrims are full of confidence right now and taking a point here is more than within their capabilities. So backing that with the buffer of the AH to cover a narrow loss might be the most sensible option. I may even regret that this bet is too conservative and the draw no bet is tempting but I'll play it safe here. Marek76
Surprisingly the home win odds have kept dropping all day long and the Plymouth price drifted way past 4.0 (3/1). Sadly the game has been called off. StevieDay1983
Marek76
A bit of a no brainer, but my money's on Wigan today. They have won nine of their last 11 on the road. Also, with the fixtures piling up lately , the squad depth is very important and they have plenty of decent players that are not even starting these days. allyhibs
Hibs v Hamilton. I'm still annoyed at myself for advising caution on Saturday v Partick but I'm back to my usual confident self tonight. Hibs will win this with a bit to spare. Hibs -1 at 2.20.
