Well the new season is on us again this year and I think it will be a big surprise if the outcome of the season is not between the big two Cork C and Dundalk.

The outcome last season all came down to the results of the games between the two. City took 7 Pts out of a possible 9 Pts. Dundalk 1 Pt. If Dundalk had turned that 1 Pt to a possible 5 they would have won the league. This season Dundalk have added Lithuanian International Karolis Chvedukas and they have also resigned Patrick Hoban, from Mansfield, who should lead the line. Over the break Dundalk have also been taken over by new owners so money should be readily available.

Meanwhile in Cork John Caulfield has also been busy in the transfer market. His main signings are Graham Cummins return from St Johnstone and underage international Danny Kane from Huddersfield. City have kept the main core of players and the return of John Dunleavy and Kavanagh should strenghten City.

Although City beat Dundalk in the Presidents Cup last weekend 4-2 I am going to side with Dundalk to take the title at 6\4.

I will attempt to have a bet each weekend with odds of Evens:

Dundalk v Bray  Goal in Each Half @ 8\15

Bohs v Shamrock Rovers  Over 0.5 first half goals @ 8\15

!0 Pt Double

Mate, what do you think about Dundalk -2AH? It can be risky as its first match of the season but looking at some previews Bray should be weak this season? Dundalk lost few players but brought 8 or 9 i think. Dont know what happened against Cork in second half. Still that can be good for them.

Sorry for not getting back earlier bit risky as you say but I think Dundalk are the team to beat this year.

Terrible start to the season for Dundalk. They gave Cork City a head start last season and paid for it so they need a big result next weekend away to Shamrock Rvs. The other game I will follow is Limerick v Bohs. Both teams had good wins in week 1, Bohs win in the derby v Shamrock Rvs exceptional result.

Limerick v Bohs Over 0.5 first half goals @ 11\20

Shamrock Rvs v Dundalk Over 0.5 first half goals @ 4\9

Double pays 2.2
