Just a point to educate you (difficult task I know but to quote Alexander Pope "Hope springs eternal")
£20 challenge =back to 20pts or Lay to 20pts
Laying is the inverse of backing, therefore when laying ( backers stake = Liability/(lay odds -1)
Therefore when you lay to 20pts you do not back @ the lay price which is what you are doing ?
You lay to a liability of 20pts

Lay to 20pts liability
2.10 Plum Galata Bridge...20/(1.38-1)=52.63 (backers stake)
3.00 Bev Brando ....20/(1.7-1) =28.57 (backers stake)

Results should read
2.10 Plum Galata Bridge.....WON....-20pts
3.00 Bev Brando ....LOST....+28.57 (multiplied by 1-comm rate)
Total Profit C/fwd +8.57

I find its always better to do things correctly .
As for catching me up , this will be my last post in this thread until you do and going off your past performances it will be my POST ULTIMUM  as they say.

Ok Mate.  I would never wish to deprive PL members of your posts since I believe that they profit by following you.  I will not post on the £20 Challenge any more.

To be fair the challenge is to use £20 at the bookmakers so you would have to lay less than £20 for odds on.

 More rather than less, surely? If I lay £40 at 1.5 I'm risking £20 which meets the brief of the thread. I'd have to lay less if the selection was odds against, e.g. I could only lay £10 at 3.00 to risk my £20.

I'm fairly new to laying in any real volume but that's how I see it in terms of the mechanics on the exchange. I enter the stake I want to lay which determines my liability. For the purpose of this thread the liability would need to be £20 rather than the stake.

Ok I admit I made a mistake by using the wrong stakes and of course his Lordship was right.  Pity he threatened to stop posting if I continued to do so because I would have given him a run for his money.  Not scared was he?

Did anyone see the difference between Bet365 and Skybet at this race? 

Bet365 offers 20/1, or 18/1 if you go for 4 places. 

Skybet offers 4 places anyway but the odds are 17/2. That's a huge difference.
