Only 4 runners rock up for this valuable prize and it would be fitting if Trevor Hemmings won the race named after his beloved Many Clouds. No room for sentiment in betting but I do think Cloudy Dream was unlucky here first time out where a mistake at the last cost him his chance, we can ignore his run last time as he wasn't even supposed to be in that race after being declared by error, he did well to finish second again as it turned out but 3 miles has been the plan and looks to have Definitely Red to beat who was 3rd in the Charlie Hall last time and may just need a stiffer track. bluemal Posted December 8, 2017 Share Posted December 8, 2017 Aintree 1:30 Westerner Point @ 14/1 bet365 e/w thanks Westerner Point....from Eoghan O'Grady yard they send the 8yo over from Ireland for his first race on British soil may be a fact finding mission for big things to come next race here , He's down well in Ireland and has won three hurdle races and five chases from 2m to 3m on ground varying from soft to soft - heavy so going will not be the problem , He's had the two runs this season both in handicap hurdles maybe to get some speed work in race conditions a 8th at Galway beaten 19 lengths and last race 23 days ago at Clonmel 3m when going off favourite he finished 2nd beaten a head by Gordon Elliott's Folsom Blue , A race he was unlucky in he chased leaders and not much room briefly behind horses before 2 out, soon ridden and improved near side to lead from last but was strongly pressed run-in and headed near finish, Jockey Phillip Enright is a regular and won on him on heavy and in chases Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
