Maulesden May 7/2 PP

This looks to be between Maulesden May and the early favourite Fire Leopard. I like the Keith Dalgleish filly as she can go on the surface and is in terrific form at the minute. She goes up in trip but has ran well over 12f here before and should take some stopping.

Avenue of stars 98.88

Clear as a bell    98.86

Indian pursuit  98.84

Avenue of stars has perfect conditions ..,handles soft ground and looks a strong fav but clear as a bell has some decent times on the clock but unknown if he produce it on soft ? At 12/1 worth a saver

Avenue of stars 4pts win 5/2 will hill

cLear as a bell 2pts saver 12/1 willhill

Just wondering whether it will be worth opposing the short favourite Wolfcatcherjack in this one. He's gone up 8lb in the handicap to 76 for his last victory, but looking at the horses in behind he didn't beat much. Second by 1 and 3/4 lengths was Best Example rated 67 and Gabriel the Terror in third is rated just 56 (65 on AW). In comparison it may be worth chancing Dukes Girl at 5/1. He was 4th last time but only beaten less than 1/2 a length behind Orsino (74), Phoenix Dawn (70) and Sable Island (78) so remaining on the same mark as last time (67) could look pretty lenient.

Right to oppose the jolly. Wrong winner.
