Snoopdog
My football picks have been pathetic so far this season, so I'm giving the "Electric Light Orchestra" a shot. Just looking at English Prem and Champ, also Scott Prem. Looking at biggest deltas on ELO, and as it fits with my idea of best value bet. All one point: Man U -1 @ 10/11 WBA @ 7/5 Hull @ 4/5 Cardiff @ 8/11 Hamilton @ 11/10 (draw no bet) Aberdeen @ 4/6 Good luck to us both. Betting on Cardiff when they are favourites is always a bold strategy... take that from a Cardiff fan!
Snoopdog
Pretty good, Sir P. Win 4; lose 1; money back 1. Certainly better than my miserable efforts the first two weeks. Actually I was really temped to make WBA draw no bet, but the drop to 8/13 was below my acceptability - mistake. Stevie, your Cardiff did the business, but only 8/11. I'll have another go next weekend at least. Then American Football starts. Sir Puntalot
Sir Puntalot
I'm a big fan of DNB and also AH -1 with big favs, makes so much more sense than BTTS and Over/under 2.5 for me.
Snoopdog
Yes, I like -1 for home big favs. I rarely do -1 on away teams. I like DNB for away slight favs. Tnx for the ratings Sir Puntalot
Snoopdog
Forgot to mention if I have a 2,3 or 4 1/2 teams, and I don't fancy -1 for the game, I will do a few doubles - but no trebles or higher. Sir Puntalot
Snoopdog
Further to DNB, bookies do not like events with only 2 outcomes where they have to bet to ~108% over-round.
Sir Puntalot
Yeah, they'd much prefer everyone bets 1X2 but DNB is a powerful bet when used correctly. Totally with ya.
Snoopdog
I don't normally tell religeous jokes, as many can be in bad taste, but the Lord himself wouldn't mind this. From Saturday's Daily Mail, it appears the Lord has returned, and is playing for Man City. I'm waiting for him to be goalie, so they can take bets on "Jesus saves".
