The 2017/18 Austria Bundesliga season is about to begin this weekend. RB Salzburg will be looking to secure a fifth consecutive title this season. Rapid Vienna have finished runners-up for three of the last four seasons and will be looking to go one better and win their first title since 2008. Austria Vienna will be hoping to roll back the years and build on their second placed finish last season. Sturm Graz and Rheindorf Altach will also be looking to making title pushes this season. LASK Linz also make a return to the top flight after winning the First League championship last season.

Is anyone looking to bet on this small but extremely fun league?

Still not much interest in the Austrian Bundesliga but there should be! It's a fascinating league. Sturm Graz are rocking the boat right now with a 5 point lead at the top after six games ahead of Red Bull Salzburg. Austria Vienna are then a further 3 points back. St Polten with just the 1 point from their matches so far but everything can change in an instant.

Keen to get more interest in this league because with just 10 teams it can be really intriguing when it comes to betting. Some attractive value can certainly be found.

Admira Wacker vs. Lask Linz (Austria Bundesliga) 18:30 30.09
pick : Lask DNB
odd: 1,85 betfair
stake 3/10

Admira is coming after shocking cup defeat in cup against amateur side Bad Gleichenberg 3:1. For this league game they will be without suspended attacker Jakolis(8/1) and  midfielder Toth(8/2) . Some players are struggling with injuries and most likely will not be 100% match fit for this game: defenders Zwierschitz(9/0) and Maier(5/0), midfielder Knasmullner(9/0). This makes options in midfield limited. Lask without a loss in last 5 games and has won 3 out of those games. Attacker Bruno da Silva(8/1) is coming in squad after recovering from injury. Lask will be without defender Pogatetz(3/0) and Rep(5/1) . Lask has won last 5 games against Admira. bet: Lask DNB 1,85 Betfair

Mattersburg vs Rapid = 2 (1.75) stake 7/10

Mattersburg position 9°punti 6
Rapid position 4° point 13

absent: Hart (defender 8/0); Novak (Defender 5/0).
in doubt: Murg (midfielder 8/3).

The Mattersburg has a home score of w1-d0-l4 goals scored 5 goals 13 while the Rapid has a w1-d2-l1 goal score out of 9 goals scored 8. The home team managed to earn only two points in the last seven games, also played the cup match. The host team is only six points from the first ranked player did not play in the cup. Signal 2 drop in many books.

Rapid Wien vs Salzburg

Austria - Tipico Bundesliga

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals

Price: 1.95

The derby game of the Austrian football will be played this Sunday. The hosts – the most successful club in history with 32 titles against the most successful team in recent years – this year’s title is going to be Salzburg’s 5th in a row for the team owned by giants Red Bull. Rapid are battling out with Sturm Graz and LASK for the 2nd place, which will give participation in the preliminary rounds of the UEFA Champions League. Rapid’s task will be a tough one, because they are trailing 5 points just 3 games to go. So, if, Rapid will want to return to the most prestigious tournament in Europe, they will have to win all their 3 remaining games and hope Sturm Graz to slip. Rapid are playing well at home, having scored in all their 16 games (9 of those they score even 2+ goals) in the Austrian capital. Salzburg meanwhile also are scoring-free this term in their away games – 12 out of 16 games they scored and again in 9 they scored 2+ goals. Salzburg exceeded the expectations by reaching Semi-finals of the Europa League and securing the title. This means both teams will be looking to score and goals are guaranteed.
