From the little I know of you I suspect you are. All you can do then is console yourself with this fact: You are in the minority, that muppet in all likelihood isn't. Poker is exactly the same as any gambling activity - if anything was a dead cert the bookies wouldn't bother pricing it up and the key to making a consistent profit is understanding value. I went to this on Friday, but came a little unstuck. did quite well at first, got a good stack lead and got a good understanding of the players on my table. :loon But hit a bad spell and for an hour didnt hit a hand, :\infact only had 1 winning hand and that was trip tens with 10 3 in my hand. blinds increase and my rep as a tight player early on meant I could steal a few of blinds. Then with 10,300 left I caught j k diamonds (best hand by far for a long time) I raised 5,000 and was re-raised all-in. knew this wasnt a bluff but felt I was pot commited especially with the cards I was getting.
