AK o/s pre-flop is IMO worth calling an all-in, but 96o.:loon I bet he was on the button and tried to steal the blinds. I also bet he sh't bricks when he saw QQ & AKo. Tough one I think. I was playing on everton poker,(same network as sporting odds) trying to clear my bonus money and couldn't get the hand history as i was too slow. The hand history (now that i finally know where the button is:lol ) only holds about 4 or 5 games, and playing a few tables at he same time means if your not fast its gone :( Its the one thing that really pisses me off about that software :spank Basically i was dealt AA, I raised pre flop and had one caller who had slightly less chips than me................ the flop was an innocuous 9 high of different suits. I put in a bigger than pot size bet and got raised all-in :eek Thinking about calling I was a bit worried he had made trips and that i was going to get done twice in 5 mins:\ .................... previously I had had some good hands on that table and been quite aggressive, so i think the table felt i was bullying (they were actually mostly genuine hands) I realised this when someone typed "good" in the chat after the guy raised me all-in :lol ................ Through last 3month i played some good TAG poker.. And boosted my bank roll because of that.. Almost all my profit is now gone in 14days.. And i can remeber 6 times ive lost all my money on a table with KK.. Only ONCE did i have the worst hand when the money went in.. That time i was against AA.. He flopped an A, and Turn was A.. So i got beat severely.. But hey thats happend and i can accept that... But when i 5min later gets KK again, raise 3-5X BB wich i have done everytime, with that hand, loose to a runner-runner flush, who have called me with Q5s preflop.. And called my pot raise after the flop, and only have 3 of the colour. its just to much... Last 15min ive got KK twice at ladbrokes.. First time Raise 4XBB gets 2 callers.. Flop is 89J and someone called me with QTo and flopped the straight.. 10min later i get KK again.. I raise 5XBB just to make sure all the muppets gets out.. I get 2 callers.. flop is J96 rainbow.. one caller raisers pot size. the other one folds.. I raise 2X the pot.. He goes all in, and i call.. He show J3o :eek What the **** is he thinking of.. well anyway, he gets J on turn.. And wins the pot.. Actually he also got a 3 on the river.. But what the **** has happend??? 1 thing i have found out last couple of days, watching my own play, and the other players.. The one that goes all-in usely wins.. Its the raiser that wins. No matter if its J3o vs KK or 23o vs AA.. The first one all in, always gets the cards needed to win... Sorry.. just had to get this out of my system.. I understand, and sympathise, but it will pay in the long run. Although you'tr lucky to get sympathy off me after what the 49ers did this weekend.:@;) However, don't start believing that about 1st all-in wins. So they costed me money.. And also i had tamba in a local danish competition.. so thats crap.. Still cant believe that a team can win a nfl game, with 5FG... NO ****ing TD... unbelieveble... But thanks... Off course i wont go all in with anything... But next time i have KK, i might go all in, and just take the few $ in the pot.. If i get called its problably by AA and i loose, or AQ and i loose or Ax and i loose.. But thats poker... im keeping playing it the right way, but it really hurts loosing most of the profit with that hand, and so many times.. There is f-all you can do about it really. 2 pocket pairs with an all-in is pretty much a coin toss, although obviously with AA you have an advantage. If you feel you are doing the right things, the good times will come. As I said I was ready to go back to the ironing board, but others sensible words of advice helped me see some things. The result is since my 'sticky patch' I've been placing in the money (not always big bucks, but getting paid) at least once a week. What will probably happen is you'll get over this, have some good times, then start beating yourself up over another aspect of your game (like being over aggressive :tongue2). I think this is part of the learning process of this beautiful game. One last thing-I think when playing premium pkt pairs the other players must be taken into consideration. If you can gauge the reaction of the table before you play that should help you decide whether to slow play or go all in. Had one of my own just now in a cash game - yeah it was a bit of a kick in the teeth losing a $200 pot to a one outer, when he only had the river card left to hit it ..................... you don't get a worse beat than that But... on the bright side managed to get my own back a couple of hands later. I wouldn't normally call a raise with this hand but I wasn't best pleased and this guy had it coming, stupid fool - Don't you just love Karma I didn't get my own back on the guy that won that pot- but in all fairness, he had the second best hand available when the money went in and would never put me on 3 Kings from the way it had played out earlier. I'd have been I was by the end of the evening.................... i made the cash back and was doing ok, then i lost 4 times with KK ................. twice when i made trips and people called with flush draws............which they made( calling me all-in for $50 with 7-9 clubs ffs ), once when a guy with pocket 10's made trips and i didn't and once when i ran into AA, i also lost with AA to a flush I won a lot of smaller pots, but everytime i was in a big pot -no matter how far ahead i was when the money went in- I lost. ........................ just one of those nights i guess ....................... Considering the big hands i lost, the most amazing thing was that i only finished $70 down for the night.
