640 Chepstow:

Barraquero NAP 5/4 Bet365
Brian Meehan has not has the best of seasons but has a big chance with Barraquero here in a weak looking maiden. The youngster made an encouraging start to his career at Newbury 19 days ago when finishing third to two useful looking sorts. He actually led until the closing stages and with normal improvement should be able to get off the mark here.

Hamilton 3.30 Alexandrakollontai @ 22/1 Ladbrokes e/w thanks

Alexandrakollontai.....from Alistair Whillans yard the 7yo has won 5 times from 20 run at Hamilton and all told he has won 11 races from 6f to 1m on ground varying from good to firm to heavy and on the all-weather. He last ran 17 days ago at Musselburgh 1m GF when finishing 3 lengths behind Lincoln Rocks who in this race today,

He runs off the same 78 mark as his last race its also a mark that he's won before , they also withdrew him last week here because off the heavy rain for two days, its been good up here yesterday and sunshine forecast for today's meeting they also bring James Sullivan back in who's been successful in past in saddle

3.30 Hamilton

HIGHLAND CORARI @ 16/1 Hills

Infrequent winner nowadays but usually runs a solid race so his mark has hovered around 100 for almost a year. Down to 96 today and this is probably the weakest race he's tackled for a while. Stays further as he's got older so the 1m trip here is within his compass. Trainer historically does well in July and has only sent 5 horses here in the previous 5 years.  16/1 looks awfully big, probably should go ew as he is vulnerable to a less exposed type......no I'm greedy, win only.
