Magdalena Rybarikova to beat Coco Vandeweghe at 2.30 with bet365

When looking at this match I see a 2-0 advantage and 4-0 i sets to Magdalena over Coco and most recently they faced in Roland Garros. First time they met was back in 2011 on grass. With the form Magdalena is in I dare to say she'll win this match. Coco had an kind of easy job against Caro Woz but it won't be so easy here.

Johanna Konta to beat Simona Halep at 1.80 with bet365

Johanna should win this in the end even if it goes to three sets. She proved she could hold her nerves and win in three today and she has a 2-0 head-to-head advantage in this matchup winning most recently in the Miami quarters this season by 2-1. Not to bad to think that it will end in another 3 set triumph for Johanna.

H2H between Konta and Halep is 2-2 ;), Halep beat her twice in the Fed Cup.

Yes I missed that but that was on clay this season and back in 2014 on hard when Konta wasn't ranked as good as no.7 in the world and not playing as well as she's playing now.

Rybarykova had a hard game against Martic. She is "out of top form" imo and CoCo will win, odds surely low.

I'm quite confident about Ostapenko is going home. She played with too many errors and had a very weak serves. Venus played well againt big-server Konjuh, i can imagine 2-0 easily.

I will definitely agree with you that it will seem a road too too far for Rybarikova to go on and beat Vandeweghe especially having been drawn into three sets against martic in the last round. Rybarikova will really have to be superhuman. The head to head record between the two means absolutely nothing apart from being the catalyst which will help to derail many from crossing the payout line. As we know, Vandeweghe has a big game, but is a high-risk player who can be prone to serial errors during a match. That was the case in 2011 when she lost to Rybarikova in Birmingham. She was still trying to find her way carrying this huge potential on her back. She even lost to Daniilidou, Riske and Rus in the same period. The other loss happened this year preparing for the French Open after she had lost hopelessly to Halep in Madrid proir to playing well in the tournament. She was never able to overcome that bad loss to Halep and it spilled over into the first round of the French Open where Rybarikova again beat her where I believe she lacked focus.

Whatever was about Vandeweghe prior to this years Wimbledon is a story best left for the archives. 2017 is about Pat Cash featuring Vandeweghe. That is all that matters. I also agree with your Williams pick. That is so very clear. I already smell the aroma of your beginners luck as it is your 1st or 2nd posting on this forum. Good luck Matey!!

I'm taking some outright bets for Wimbledon now that a few rounds have been played and with play set to resume tomorrow after the traditional middle-Sunday rest day. I'm going to use level stakes and one winner will see me in the green.

First off I'm putting 2 points on Andy Murray to win ATP Wimbledon at 7.80 at Smarkets. Looking at his side of the draw he's the stand-out player in my opinion with Nadal looking the most likely barrier to the final. I still have my doubts about the Spaniard on grass though after so many years of shock losses at SW19 for the King of Clay. Should Murray make the final he certainly wont be 7.80 to win, so I see some value in this price as even though there will likely be ups and downs along the way making the final should be the minimum for the two-time winner of this tournament.

As it's so open this year I'm backing three players to win WTA Wimbledon; One from each half of the draw at shorter odds and one wildcard at longer odds in the hopes that at least one will make the final and I'll have a nice price on them to lift the Venus Rosewater Dish. From the top half I'm putting 2 points behind Angelique Kerber at 14.00 at Smarkets as I feel that she's not being given enough respect by the market bearing in mind that she made the final here last year. Granted the German has had a relatively poor season so far, but she's a terrific grinder as she showed in the last round against Shelby Rogers and that's the kind of player I want to back - not to mention she's still the best player in the world as far as the rankings are concerned.

From the bottom half my main pick is 2 points on Victoria Azarenka at 18.00 at Smarkets. The two-time Australian Open winner has only just come back to the tour after having a baby, but that's one of the reasons I want to back her. A few years ago Kim Clijsters arrived at the US Open in similar circumstances and won the tournament, and I wouldn't be surprised if Azarenka repeated the trick. I think one of the reasons Clijsters was able to win that US Open title in 2009 was because she was just enjoying playing tennis and wasn't bogged down by anything else and that benefited her game. Having a baby often has a positive effect on a sportsperson, so much so that the term 'Nappy Factor' was coined. In Azarenka's case - like Kerber - she's a good fighter but at the same time I wonder if motherhood has given her a new perspective and made her a little more relaxed and more able to swing freely. This bet could fall at the first hurdle as the 2nd seed Simona Halep stands in the way of a quarter-final place, but I'm still happy to be on at the price.

My wildcard pick is Ana Konjuh at 44.00 at Smarkets. The young Croatian has a game well-suited to grass, having won her only WTA title on the surface. Part of the reason for this price is that nearly every other player in her half of the draw is towards the top of the tournament betting, including her next opponent Venus Williams. If Konjuh can come through against the veteran American and make the last eight though, which just might happen as Williams hasn't made smooth progress up to this point, and in such a wide-open tournament who knows how far she could go. Jelena Ostapenko was a surprise French Open winner last month - what price another surprise winner in the very next Grand Slam. I'm hoping it's 44.00...

No luck with any of the WTA picks. I thought at least one would have made it through to the next round, even though they were all underdogs. Murray put in his best performance of the tournament to beat Paire in straight sets so that bet is still going, and as Nadal is now out of the running I'm going to add 2 points to my stake on him to take the title at 5.00 at Smarkets. The rationale for this is similar to my original bet, in that he really should make the final from here and if he does he's not going to be a 4 to 1 shot no matter who he faces.

I'm also going to try again in the WTA market. This time I'm backing Coco Vandeweghe with 2 points at 6.00 at BetBright. The American has made it this far without dropping a set and has looked impressive and full of confidence from what I've seen of her. Having the ear of former Wimbledon winner Pat Cash seems to be helping her and I think she should get the better of Rybarikova in the next round, even though the Slovakian is on a great run right now. After that who knows but I'd rather back her than anyone else in her half.

Right additions for Vandeweghe win. That's the reason why i usually dont like the h2h reason, you wrote a great example.

Muguruza - Kuznetsova over 18.5 game @1.34 can be a good combo material. Mugu is the clear favourite, but Svetlana will fight for her first semi final. Looking for two tight sets.

Thanks, gl for us :-)

Garbine Muguruza vs Svetlana Kuznetsova

Over 21.5 games 8/11 paddy power

Over 2.5 sets 5/4 paddy power

Kuznetsova to win 5/4 paddy power

Well Muguruza is favourite for this match but her opponent has really impressed in this tournament especially on the grass and i can see her winning this

Venus Williams vs Jelena Ostapenko

Over 21.5 games 8/11 paddy power

Over 2.5 sets 5/4 paddy power

Ostapenko to win 11/10 paddy power

I think this could be time that we see the younger player beat the older more experienced who has win this title five times as she has been such revelation and i can see her winning this match and the title

Magdalena Rybarikova vs Coco Vandeweghe

Over 21.5 games 8/11 paddy power

Over 2.5 sets 5/4 paddy power

Rybaricova to win 5/4 paddy power

The player who has been impressive on this surface has been Rybarikova and can win again against a good player who is still maybe has not got the quality to win a Grand slam and will struggle against the grass specialist

Johanna Konta vs Simona Halep

Over 21.5 games 8/11 paddy power

Over 2.5 sets 5/4 paddy power

Halep to win 5/4 paddy power

This has to be the match of the quarter finals and it will so tight that it will go down to who wants it the most and who can win the big points at the right times

Ostapenko

Rybarikova

Halep

All to win 10/1 paddy power

Name the Finalists

Garbina Muguruza vs Jelena Ostapenko 10/1 paddy power

Garbine Murguruza vs Simona Halep 7/1 paddy power

These would be a great finals and it is worth a bet at these odds

I really see a value on Ostapenko today.

I will take Ostapenko @2.25 (5 units) + Ostapenko -1,5 sets @3,92 (2 units). Total is 7 units on this game.

First of all, that's the first H2H between the 2 ladies.
V. Williams has been playing great games but none of the girls have the quality of Ostapenko actually.
To arrive in QF, she played Mertens, Wang, Osaka and Konjuh (ranked 22nd)...  The game vs. Konjuh can't really been taken into consideration after 2 long games from Konjuh against Begu and Cibulkova. (2:13 minutes and 2:36 minutes..)
On the other hand, Ostapenko played pretty easy games as well but Giorgi and Svitolina in the last 2 rounds were good tests and she was strong enough to win them in 2 sets.
As in Roland Garros, she knows how to improve her level when the big games arrive.
IMO, Williams will try to play a lot of winners quickly and if Ostapenko can return them and stay calm, it should finished in 2 sets. If this is a three setter, Ostapenko should go through considering the age difference.

Good luck all,

Guys, a lot of you underestimate Venus.   She won 3 times Wimledon,so for me she is the big varorite here. Yes, Ostapenko is playing good tennis but for me the experience will dominate...

Other three:

Muguruza - Kuznetsova - OVER the games

Both want to continue in the next round, both are fighters and I expect tight match.

Konta - Halep - Halep to continue

I was a little negative on Hapep game, but after yesterday game against Azarenka I think she can win here.

Rybarikova - Coco - Coco to continue

Nothing much to say. Coco is the better player for me.

Great to see so many differing opinions :cheers That's what it's all about. My two penneth;

Garbine Muruguza to win 2-0 - 2.37

Svetlana has had a mightily impressive tournament but think it comes to an end here. Two tough sets.

Coco Vandeweghe to win 2-0 - 2.10

Again, great tournament from Rybarikova but felt like the energy reserves were beginning to run dry vs. Martic.

Venus Williams vs. Jelena Ostapenko Over 2.5 Sets - 2.37

Good luck picking this one! We know Venus can switch off for sets and Jelena doesn't know when she's beat on this current run. Expect 3 sets and the UE/W counts through the roof.

Johanna Konta vs. Simona Halep Over 2.5 Sets - 2.25

Konta has arguably played the best tennis of the tournament but Halep so talented and on a mission after RG disappointment. Both prone to a choke; see it going the distance.

Accumulator - 26.65

Good luck :hope

Shame about the rain, now Coco could come back. :\

Back Sam Querrey (+2.5 sets) to beat Andy Murray at 1.85 with Pinnacle

I was thinking 1.65, so of course I'm going to take this at 1.85. Murray's draw has been a joke so far, but Querrey is a competitive player that has played plenty of good matches against top-notch opposition. He's on a good run, he's serving well, and Murray is yet to prove himself in this event, so I don't see the Scot running away with this that easily.

Moved to CC now, good luck regardless of who you're backing :ok.

What are the chances of Muller winning a set off Cilic. He had that long match against Nadal but he is good on grass and is playing well

And can Berdych win a set against Novak as he is suffering from a shoulder injury and may not be fully fit

Williams was just too strong and consistent for Ostapenko. I lost 7 units. :(

For today, my bet will go on Querrey and Berdych. I expect some 'surprises' in these 2 games.
Djoko and Murray have been lucky in the draw so far. Now they face real contenders.

Querrey has been really strong since the beg. of Wimbledon. He might be a little tired after 2 long games of 5 sets but I see him taking a set out of Murray. 5,8 for the victory is a little high and we never know what can happen. I will put 1unit on that.
Querrey +2,5 sets @1.85 (5 units) + Querrey to Win @5.8 (1 unit).

Berdych is very inconsistent this season but has shown some great tennis since the beg of Wimbledon. By the way, he was in SF last year here.
I will put 5 units on over 40,5 @ 2.25 + 1 unit for the win @4.51

Total is 12 units!

By the way, I like Cilic to Win Wimbledon at 7.4. I really think that he will face Federer in final and his odds will then be around 3. I will put 1 unit on that even though I really think this one is for Federer.

Good luck all,

Not sure about Muller, Cilic has his number and it will be very tough for Muller to recover. I think the odds are about right there. And Berdych? Who knows, really - he's certainly good enough to take a set and perhaps even win, but the mental hurdles will be hard to jump over.

Guys,

Some doubles picks from me

Skupski/Skupski vs Melo/Kubot 4.88 Pinnacle

Melo/Kubot are without loss this season on grass. But they have two very tough 5-set matches here. Skupski/Skupski are local lads, who are improving each year. They already beat two very good couples in four sets. Melo/Kubot are still favorites to win, but 4.88 is too much. I wouldn't give more than 3.75 for Skupski/Skupski.

Barty/Dellaqua vs Makarova/Vesnina 2.49 Pinnacle

Barty/D reached the final at Roland Garros and they had 23/4 all time record on grass. Makarova and Vesnina couldn't find their form from last year. They won just one tournament this year. B/D are leading 1:0 in H2H and the match was in 2013 US Open.

Ninomaya/Voracova vs Kuznecova/Mladenovic 6.1 Pinnacle

Ninomaya/Voracova destroyed Hradecka/Sinakova, who are IMO better couple than Kuznecova/Mladenovic. They don't have the same experience as Kuznecova/Mladenovic but seems they are in great form. Kuznecova and Mladenovic needed three sets in their last two matches.

I am willing to pick Rybarikova at odds 3.75. Now they are 3.20, going up from the starting 2.95. Probably in exchanges that odds may be reached. Muguruza is showing very good tennis, but she lost her only clash against Rybarikova on grass. Rybarikova could imitate the fairy tale of Ostapenko at RG.

Really dont want to underestimate Ryby, but CoCo played the worst game of Wimbledon. Muguruza style makes her much harder opponent. Unfortunately the bookmakers are on Mugu side, the price is not good enough.

I'm with Konta, who showed an absolute winner mentality. She knows Venus well, and got a huge boost after beating Halep. About Venus, Ostapenko "bumm-bumm" style was great for her.

Back Magdalena Rybarikova (+1.5 sets) to beat Garbine Muguruza at 1.85 with Sbobet

I don't really trust Rybarikova in the same way that I trusted her against Coco, but I like this bet at the offered odds. Could be a tense affair and Mugu certainly has more to lose, so there's every chance that she's going to lose focus at some point - and Rybarikova really is no pushover right now.

And my selections for the Womens semi finals

Venus Williams vs Johanna Konta

Over 22.5 games 10/11 paddy power

Over 2.5 sets 5/4 paddy power

Venus to win 11/10 paddy power

This is tough to pick the winner as both are great on grass. But the player who is better on the surface has won five titles and has a chance of winning another one and the match will be close

Very happy with my bets yesterday (+12.5 units). Too bad Djokovic retired but berdych might have win in 3 sets so I could have lost my bet.
Anyway, all went as I imagined. Cilic is still here and should win against Querrey tomorrow and face Federer (who looks unbeatable) on Sunday.

For the woman, it's just impossible to bet for me.
However, I will put a small stake (2 units) on Konta -3 points @2.5 pinnacle. I really think that Konta should win that one.

Good luck all,

Voracova/Ninomaya vs Niculescu/Chan 3.71

I was impressed yesterday by Voracova and Ninomaya. They played like a seasoned team. Ninomaya is very strong on the net, super fast and smacking volleys. Voracova had nice back court game. Niculescu and Chan aren't the best double team, but they managed to reach the семиfinal. IMO the odds must be even after Vor/Nin's performance in the last few days.Niculescu and Chan had very easy draw and never meet a strong team. Huge value here.
