Vodka Wells NAP Evens Betfair
Trainer Rebecca Menzies does well with her limited string and Vodka Wells has looked unlucky on his last two starts and looks to have found a good opportunity here. He looked all over the winner last time out at Sedgefield but was mugged late on when he could have got first run, time before that the saddle slipped when in with a shout and should make amends here.

Nottingham 3.15 Maoi Chinn Tire @ 18/1 PP e/w Thanks

Maoi Chinn Tire...from Jennie Candlish's yard the 10yo has won ten races from 6f to 2m on ground varying from good to firm to good to soft and on the all-weather. Has also won two hurdles, The handicapper has won four of his seven starts at the track and also won his first race of the season on four occasions, This is his first race this season and has slipped to a favourable rating  with David Nolan in saddle

3.15  Nottingham

WORDINESS @ 16/1 Skybet

This guy is way too big at 16's, this time last year he was only beaten 2 3/4L off 86 in a class 3 at Ascot. Showed enough behind Midtech Star (has won against since) at Bath 2 runs back to suggest he's retained enough ability to win this and has had excuses in his two races since.  Will love the fast ground.

2.30 Lingfield: Derby Trial, 1m 3.5f

You had to be impressed with Sir John Lavery's maiden success at Gowran Park last October, but he's a very short price for a yard that we know doesn't send their big guns to Lingfield. We haven't seen him this year yet too, so you got to have allot of trust - which I don't have and therefore think he's worth to take on.

John Gosden's Tartini was a fair 4th on his return in the Epsom Derby Trial, he may well improve for the run and will probably be seen in better light here stripping fitter and hopefully enjoying a bit more in-runging luck.

However for a price I do feel is over the top the bin Suroor's Best Solution makes most appeal. It's not ideal that he has to give weight away, but the Kodiac colt is head and shoulders above the rest on 2yo form where he ended the year with an excellent runner-up effort in the Group 1 Criterium de St. Cloud.

His runs in Meydan may be forgiven, he just didn't take to the dirt. So a return to turf with a bit of cut in the ground could easily see him improving. He has the right profile to be a better three year old and a fair chance to stay the trip.

Selection:
Best Solution @ 12/1 PP
