gogetta
Palmeiras was Serie A champion in 2016, after a long wait of 22 years without a championship title. Palmeiras gave no chance to rivals; with the best attack, best defence and a consistent performance throughout the championship. The highlights of the team were: Dudu, captain of the team, Gabriel Jesus (now in Manchester city) was elected player of the championship, and Coach Cuca. Three players shared the top-scorer spot in 2016: Fred (Atlético-MG), Diego Souza (Sport) and William Pottker (Ponte Preta). Each scored just 14 goals, the lowest total in the last 25 years. Fred and Diego Souza will have the chance to fight again for the spot this season. Pottker has left Ponte Preta for Internacional, who will compete in Serie B. Pratto, now in São Paulo, can also enter the list in 2017. There are others. Of the coaches who start the 2017 championship, only three have already won the tournament at least once: Cuca who won with Palmeiras last year, Autuori who won with Botafogo in 1995, and Abel Braga who led Fluminense to the title in 2012. Waiting for a new chance are names like Luxembargo and Marcelo Oliveira. There is also a newcomer, Carille, for Corinthians. The 2017 Brazilian Championship will be affected by changes implemented by CONMEBOL, which redesigned the South American competitions by spreading them throughout 2017. The Copa Libertadores final, for example, will be played only in November. The same happens with the Sudamericana, which will have its champion known in December. Further, the Brazil Cup will also be spread throughout the season. Therefore, Brazilian Serie A teams will have to reconcile with more matches throughout the season and the coaches will have to opt for the most important games of the week. gogetta
Coritiba vs Atletico Go In each of the last five Serie A seasons, Coritiba has been struggling to avoid relegation. But there is renewed optimism that the team will perform better than the previous seasons, after winning this year’s Paranense state championship. Under new coach Pachequinho, promoted from the youth team, the team features a structured defence. Three new reinforcements include a midfielder and two strikers, particularly creating competition in attack. But the team has sold 22-year old defender Juninho to the defending champions Palmeiras. In this first game of the season, Coach Pachequinho will largely maintain the cast that has been playing in the state championship: with two enforced changes in defence (central defender and right-back), plus right-winger Neto Berola and newly signed striker Alecsandro upfront. For the visitors, last year’s Serie B champions and new Serie A entrants, Coach Marcelo Cabo has a full squad and is likely to maintain the team that drew 0-0 away to Flamengo last Wednesday in the Brazil Cup. Coach Cabo is more likely to stick to a defensive strategy that served him well away from home in Serie B: tight marking and blocking the opponent. Coritiba fans expect a winning start at home but their team will have to negotiate their way through an opponent dedicated to defend and avoiding a loss. Under 1.5 goals Bet Lost: Coritiba 4-1 Atletico Go Edited May 16, 2017 by gogetta

StevieDay1983
Flamengo the current draw specialists with three draws in their opening four matches. Can they get another draw away to Sport Recife? Corinthians the new leaders in Serie A but Chapecoense and Cruzeiro are only 3 points behind with a game in hand. It's still very tight and betting is tricky. gogetta
Coritiba vs Palmeiras Hosts have had a great start to the championship with 9 points in four games, just one point less than the leading teams. They come into this game motivated after winning the local derby against Atletico PR (1-0); in a balanced game but Coritiba proved more efficient and won through a headed goal by defender Marcio. Coach Pachequinho will have the same starting eleven available. Palmeiras has had a slow start to the new season, currently in 13th place with 4 points. Notably, they have lost their first two games away from home, and are yet to score a goal away. This is their third away game but it comes up against a team with a bit of momentum. Further, and ominously, Palmeiras has not won in the Couto Pereira stadium in Curitiba for 28 years! Most worrying, Palmeiras will have a weakened central defence due to absence of both Edu Dracena and Yerry Mina; who will be replaced with previously untested duo of Juninho and Antonio Carlos. The hosts are motivated and efficient in defence (conceded just two goals so far). The visitors have started the season with poor away performances and are seeking a reaction but are hobbled by an improvised central defence; Coach Cuca is therefore likely to adopt a more defensive game to avoid another away loss. Under 1.5 goals. Bet won: Coritiba 1-0 Palmeiras Edited June 8, 2017 by gogetta
gogetta
Chapecoense vs Gremio This game was postponed from Wednesday to Thursday due to bad weather conditions in Santa Catarina; as both teams could not land at the local Chapeco airport. Both teams had to resort to a 7-hour bus journey from Porto Alegre to Chapeco; with Chapecoense arriving on Tuesday afternoon while Gremio arrived a day later (after initially refusing the bus journey and requesting for a postponement of the match). Chapecoense will go to the top of the table with a win in this match, following their weekend 2-0 away win over Cruzeiro. Central defender Luis Otavio returns from suspension. But Gremio is just a point behind. They are coming from a 2-0 home win over Vasco da Gama at the weekend and enter this game with confidence, after a sequence of good performances in the season so far. But team will miss central defender Pedro Geromel (affected by flu). Both teams are recovering from the weekend games as well as the unexpected bus travel. Hosts are yet to concede a goal at home, while visitors’ Coach Renato Gaucho is also likely to opt for a more defensive line-up. Another element is that strong rain is forecast on Thursday, which should make the grass field heavier for both teams. Draw and Under 2.5 goals. sandrostocco
Event: Campeonato Brasileiro Série A Game: Vasco vs Atlético GO - 06/25/17 - 11:00 AM EDT Bet: Under @ 1,87 188bet Units: 1,5 / 3 Vasco In 11th place in the league Vasco comes from a defeat against Botafogo by 3x1, but despite the defeat the team even made a good game creating some dangerous situations, now against Atlético GO Vascaína team must show their strength inside their house Being that he has 4 victories as principal and has not lost any game in the home yet in the championship. Atlético GO In the 19th place and in the relegation zone for series B of the Brazilian championship Atlético GO has a difficult game against Vasco, the team comes from a defeat away from home against Palmeiras and tries to rehabilitate in that game, despite a sequence of two defeats The team has not played poorly, and has been demonstrating a strong defense so much that the losses were for 1x0. Pick Analyzing the two teams I do not see a favor like that for Vasco with an odd of 1.57, Vasco's last home win against Avaí was a very difficult match won by 1x0, and as Atlético GO comes from two losses for 1x0 And with a very compact defense despite the defeats I think the under 2.5 line has a good value for that game. AndreBR
I like Vasco to win today. They are january once again good expectation of the public and Vasco knows that it is fundamental to defeat the opponent who is a candidate for relegation if it is a direct confrontation. However, this odd does not call my attention. I think we will have a game studied in the beginning and it is possible to get a bigger Vasco odd in the range of @ 1.80 / @ 2.00. I'll stay in live ---------------------------------------------------------------- eu gosto do Vasco para vencer hoje.
