Big Gamble on The Trigger but unfortunately just failed

Even So 16.30 Naas 1 Pt Win @ 11\8 (bog)

Huge eye-catcher behind Blissful on debut before running out a ready winner of 1m Gowran maiden under more positive tactics in September. Classic entries and plenty more to come from her.

7th -  towards rear, pushed along over 2f out, never a factor

First Receiver 15.55 Kempton 1 Pt Win @ 7\4 (bog)

Encouraging third of 14 in strong Newmarket maiden on debut in July. Not quite at that level when runner-up over C&D 4 months later but remains a useful prospect.

Summer Sands 17.05 Naas 1 Pt Win @ 5\2 (bog)

Didn't need to be at best when winning 17-runner listed Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar (6f, soft) by 2¾ lengths from Troubador, easily. Obvious player on first outing since leaving Richard Fahey.

Promising sort. Confirmed debut promise when winning 14-runner minor event (6/4) at Lingfield (7f, AW), kept up to work. Off 173 days. Open to improvement.

Jacksonian 21.00 Newbury 1 Pt WIn @ 5/4 (bog)

Shaped well when runner-up to subsequent Group 3-winner Military March in 7f maiden at Newmarket last July. Now up in trip with tongue tie added and this well-bred colt should have more to offer.

Mythical 18.10 Curragh 1 Pt Win @ 7\4 (bog)

Useful juvenile who easily landed 1m Gowran maiden and ended season with fine third of 9 in Criterium de Saint-Cloud at Saint-Cloud (9.9f, heavy) in October. Sets the benchmark.

Albigna 19.15 Curragh 1 Pt WIn @ 6\4 (bog)

Developed into very smart filly as juvenile, landing Prix Marcel Boussac before good fourth of 14 in Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at Santa Anita when left with too much to do. The one to beat.

Glenties 15.25 Goodwood 1 Pt Win @ 6\5 (bog)

Left 2-y-o form behind when a good third in handicap at Haydock 7 days ago. Form is backed up by a solid time, so should go well again under another positive ride.

Napa Valley 14.30 Leopardstown 1 Pt Win @ 11\8 (bog)

Galileo colt. Brother to 1m winner Koubalibre and half-brother to 3 winners, including very smart 2-y-o 5f/6f winner Tiggy Wiggy and 6f winner Iftaar. Makes plenty of appeal on paper.

Fairly useful colt. 10/10, sole start for Brad Cox when fourth of 10 in maiden at Churchill Downs (8f, good). Off 7 months. Up in trip. Strong claims back with former stable

Year 4

image.png.6d2bb2568b68187ae2efe0676ba21f7f.png

Only good thing from all of it is that GB is just about in profit after 958 bets. A loss tomorrow for GB will equal the most consecutive losses 11, this will give you an idea how bad things are going at the moment. Not much to say about Ireland.

Three C's 19.50 Chelmsford 1 Pt Win @ 2\1 (bog)

Proved a revelation on AW this year, readily making it 4 wins in his last 5 starts over C&D 9 days ago. 5 lb penalty may not prevent another win.

Pondus 19.05 Limerick 1 Pt Win @ 15\8 (bog)

Smart colt who won 2 novices last spring for James Fanshawe. Solid efforts in defeat at pattern level since but faced stiff task in Champion Stakes at Ascot 8 months ago. Up in trip. Respected.

Eastern Sheriff 20.40 Ripon 1 Pt Win @ 7\4 (bog)

Won on debut at Kempton (1m) in November and made a pleasing return in a warm-looking race at Lingfield, poorly placed but still able to throw down a challenge. More to come in handicaps up in trip.

Make A Challenge 17.45 Naas 1 Pt Win @ 11\10 (bog)

Massive improver for this yard last year, winning 6 times, including Curragh listed on heavy. Below par under much quicker conditions in Doha in February but the one to beat here.

Second of 9 in minor event at Newbury (6f, good, 10/3) on debut 11 days ago. That looked a decent race and, with improvement on the cards, he should go very close.
