Ligue 1 is really developing a great community on this forum with another brilliant set of midweek posts. Let's keep this up guys! Enjoying reading all your thoughts and slowly but surely we are seemingly beginning to crack this league.

PSG's trip to Bordeaux is going to be a very interesting one. They have narrowly avoided defeat a number of times on the road. Nice and Lyon won with clean sheets during midweek to stay in the title race. This weekend could change everything.

@Icongene, you backed the Nice odds which seemed unreal given their season so far. Proof that bookies still expect them to slip up. Money to be had here as well with them available at 2.80 to beat Rennes. Double chance maybe?

@Pep004 and @FCNA, it's a shame the Nantes game was postponed. Can they bounce back from that defeat to Nancy last weekend with a win at home to Marseille. Payet could prove the difference possibly? Is it wrong to back him to score any time?

@hairline, did you bet on the Metz game in the end? What do you think here?

@Magic0024, give us some of those important stats buddy!

@sajtion, unlucky on the BTTS. They were few and far between in midweek. Do you fancy any bets in Ligue 1 this week?

@stanleybright, you smashed that over 2.5 goals scored in the Montpellier game. Going for a similar bet this week?

@betcatalog, you also profited from the Monaco victory in that game. What's tickling your fancy in these fixtures?

@DrBetter, you were cautious in midweek. Will you be letting loose this weekend with a couple of bets?

@vasilli07, spot on about Marseille mate. Thinking of backing them again this weekend?

it's a bit risky backing psg especially after that exceptional bordeaux performance against caen in midweek. they will be in high spirits. i think score draw has outside chance

lyon really need to step up to the plate on their travels. their home vs away form has been light and day.

metz are going through a bit of good form but monaco are full of goals and can outscore them here so no hesitation backing them to win

Bordeaux whole league has 15 to 24 under 2,5 and 8 to 12 under 2,5 in her stadium. The PSG has the best defensive line with 18 conceded goals, which is why it has 15 to 24 no goal total in the league. and 7 to 12 no goal away. The two teams have good defenses, today I expect tough game and I don’t see a lot of goals
FC GIRONDINS BORDEAUX vs PARIS SAINT GERMAIN @@ +2.75 Under, odds 1.86

No problem backing PSG for me, the way i see it is that PSG struggled against strong middle team sometimes, oftenly by lack of motivation, but they usually crushed them, and moreover PSG almost never struggle against a team which try to play, offer decent football, and try to be offensive like this 2017 Bordeaux ;-)

Yes PSG had a few bad games, but it's not the same team anymore.. I've a strong feeling they'll be able to beat Bordeaux, knowing Monaco is gonna beat Metz they won't let go the match, and Emery will motivate his players telling them that the best players on the pitch tonight will play against Barça.. So in my mind it could be a 3-0 easy win for Paris  with 11 warriors.. (but i know it could be a shitty draw with PSG players not taking any risks, avoiding contacts, but usually PSG win those match before the CL..). Bordeaux won't be able to stop a big PSG in champions league mode...

I'm backing Paris at 1,65 of course (combined with a win of Napoli also playing tonight, or Monaco tomorrow, haven't decide yet... total odds around 2,1)

Ok so I woke to a free bet in one of my accounts today so I've placed it on Bordeaux Double Chance v PSG

As mentioned before, PSG have been quite slack of late V Dijon and Lille whilst never really dominating at any stage at (H) v Monaco.

I don't think this PSG will win the league. They are weaker than previous seasons and their rivals have improved. Cavani, for all his great movement and work ethic is nowhere near the player Ibra was for them. If you put Zlatan in this PSG side I'd think they'd win the league. Without him the fine margins such as Cavani's continuous ability to miss clear cut chances will have an impact.

The owners of PSG came in to the club in order to have them win the Champions League. That is the clubs main goal. Im sure the PSG coach has been told in no uncertain terms that that is the remit. With Barcelona coming up next Tuesday, I'd be stunned if one or two heads from a squad full of overpaid prima donnas don't let their thoughts drift to that match.

Bordeaux on excellent form and importantly for me, they are a side that of late have been scoring plenty goals and therefore can be a danger to anyone on their day. The team will also be determined to right the wrongs of the thrashing they took off the same team in the cup. Sides general pick themselves up for the 2nd match in situations like this and hopefully tonight Bordeaux does just that tonight.

Toulouse FC - Bastia

Full Event Away +0.50 (AH) @ 2.11 4/10 PINNACLE

Football / Fra. Ligue 1 / Kick off: 11 Feb 2017, 20:00

Match between 10th and 19th placed team in Ligue 1 will be played on Stade Municipal in Toulouse and it will start at 20:00 on Saturday. Toulouse is coming to match after tough match in Lorient, from where they brought a point. Lorient was trying to play, to create opportunities, but Toulouse was waiting for counter-attacks and they were pretty dangerous in this way. Delort scored again and played solid, but it was not enought to win on Le Moustoir. Bastia match was cancelled due to unacceptable weather conditions, which means that they will be much fresher than home team. They are on 19th place and gap will slowly start becoming bigger and bigger between teams on safe positions and teams down there. Lorient looks much better than Bastia, but they are still in front of them. Every single point will be important and they will need to fight for that. They won't try to be in possession, they will wait for their chances and as they were able to stop Nice twice, even with player less for 30 minutes on last time, and as they were able to beat Rennes on Rhoazon Park, I believe that they are able to make things complicated for Toulouse as well. Bookmakers favorise Toulouse, giving them more than 50% to win the match, but in my eyes, this match is again much closer. I would set it on 45/35/25, which means that in ah-0,5/+0,5 market this is 45/55% match, and for covering 55% I can get odds 2,01. Bastia will be fresh, normally prepared, while Toulouse is coming to match from tough match from Lorient. They're weekend was not normal with trainings, while Bastia even had one day off somehow (because of postponed match). Crivelli, St. Maxime, Diallo & co. are for sure able to prepare a surprise, meanwhile Toulouse is not adapted on 3 matches in 7 days and I wouldn't be surprised if Bastia will surprisingly win on Municipal.

Bordeaux - Paris Saint Germain

Full Event Away -0.75 (AH) @ 1.826 5/10 PINNACLE

Football / Fra. Ligue 1 / Kick off: 10 Feb 2017, 20:45

Match between 7th and 2nd team of Ligue 1 will be played on Matmut-Atlantique in Bordeaux and it will start at 20:45 on Friday. Bordeaux is coming to match after comfortable win in Caen (0-4). I need to admit that result did surprise me, but when I saw the goals, picture was clearer. First goal came because of critical mistake of 21 year old Leborgne, second goal after disastrous reaction of goalkeeper, third again after bad covering of Leborgne, who was totally lost in this game and I don't know why Garande let him on the pitch for 90 minutes. He was included also in 4th goal, and for whole match he had big big problems with Kamano. PSG is coming to match after unfair win, while they scored in last seconds of the match from clear offside. Even though they were much much better side, totally in control of the match, Areola made critical mistake and de Preville scored in 86th minute. Trapp is back in training process, but it's not sure if he will be in the goal this time, as Emery said that he still has full confidence for both goalkeepers. Also Marco Veratti is back, which means that only Pastore and Krychowiak will miss the match. If PSG wouldn't have match against Barcelona on Tuesday, my stake would be higher. Without doubts, quality is on their side, importance of the match as well, as they have chance to put pressure on Monaco, while Nice is back on winning tracks as well, so not even second place is not sure. Thiago Silva has spoken to the media and admit that Emery is tactically great coach, and that players are more and more adapted to his style of thinking, football, etc. I am talking about that for month and half, that if players will get Emery's ideas, than they could be much much stronger in future. Motta is suspended for the match in CL, so we can expect him on the pitch tonight. The only one who might be rested is Draxler, but I am not even sure about that. This match is too important, as failure can cause 5 points gap with Monaco and maybe even 3 points gap with Nice. On the other hand we have Bordeaux who's key players of midfield are Toulalan (33y), Plasil (35y) and "newbie" Sankhare. I expect nothing but defending by them, while in attack it won't be as easy as it was in Caen in midweek. All in all odds on PSG -0,75 jumped from 1,63 on 1,83 after mid-week round, and all of that because of 0-4 win of Bordeaux in Caen? I disagree with that. Cup match finished with 1-4, while I can perfectly remember match of Monaco here (0-4). PSG will take this one!

I just can't get the sneaky suspicion out my head that PSG are going to drop something v Bordeaux. I haven't been very impressed with them over the past few matches in the league.

Yeah, Bordeaux with just one defeat in their last seven matches as well. I'm with you. Bordeaux Double Chance is very appealing. Maybe a handicap? I think over 2.5 goals scored is a must.

Hi there, here my bets

TFC vs Bastia Home Win / Andy Delors any time scorer

Can't be agree with @Pep004, sorry. Obviously TFC made a good mercato with the arrivals of Correntin Jean and Andy Delors who has scored already two goals. At home against a poor Bastia, TFC must win. I don't say that TFC is safe or will make a great come back. I always think that something is broken with Dupraz but I don't see any surprise here.

Dijon vs Caen Home Win

My principal argument is that Dijon is able to score more than Caen who was smatched at home in mid week by Bordeaux (0-4). It's a bottom Ligue fight, Dijon will attack, it's not a team to stay behind, Caen is doubtfull and will crack.

Guingamp vs Lyon Away Goal, Lyon+0.5

Just look at the form of Guingamp : last victory the 17th of december. In 2017, one draw, 4 defeats. Salibur stayed, ok, but it's not a ggod thing for a player supposed to leave to Premier League. On the other hand, Lyon has reacted after lossing the great Derby by a clear and easy home win (4-0 against Nancy). And keep in mind that Guingamp beat Lyon in Stade des Lumières 3-1 the 22th of october, revenge for me.

Monaco vs Metz More than 2 home goals, Home Win, Home win with handicap

Champions League is not here yet for Monaco (see them eliminate City:D). Metz will be a good sparing Partner !

Rennes vs Nice Under and draw

Rennes the new specialist of draws after ASSE ? Why not... Gourcuff is out (again and again, Daddy is very sad:lol). Balotelly also. On the paper, Rennes is weaker than Nice (N'tep and Grosicky left, Gourcuff out) but Nice is not a good performer away so.

ASSE vs Lorient Home Win

A hard one, maybe both to score but at the end, victory for Les Verts, just to prove to Lyon's President, Aulas, that they're able to be in front of their rival at the end of the season.

Pitty for Bastia, it's third time this season when my team received 2 red cards, but anyway. Odds were strongly showing me that I am wrong with this call, also you did it @FCNA with your prediction, but I am still not as convinced that I was totally wrong. I will take a look of match tomorrow. :)

Besides, are you going on match vs Marseille?

@Pep004, I'm living in North east... Nantes is in my heart but far from me. You will support them for me in La Beaujoire. It's a very important match, this morning, we're 17th, due to the postponed match against match. Hope it will be played soon, Bastia is sinking, time to take them. Note that Bastia and red cards are a long story... I hate this team, I hate corsican spirit :@.

After all, great coming back for me yesterday :loon.

We have  7 overs2,5 in this round already, and still 2 matches left to play. 7 is the maximum number of overs2,5 per round in previous season, and in this one also so far. So statistically St.Etienne - Lorient and Nantes - Marseille both should be under2,5. Medium stake for each of them (or maybe combo) is really worth something, I think. :)
