A few tasty matches this weekend where I am keen to hear what you lads will be going for. Tightly contested fixtures between Espanyol and Real Sociedad, Real Betis and Valencia, and Las Palmas and Sevilla. The last of those seems the most obvious but the other two are too close to call. Atletico Madrid versus Celta Vigo is also one that catches the eye.

@Icongene, things didn't exactly rub off well for you last weekend. Some rotten luck and some terrible team performances out of the blue letting you down. Has that put you off La Liga for a weekend or will you be back this weekend to try and make amends?

@sajtion, you were another screwed over by that Valencia shambles. 4-0 at home to Eibar. Unbelievable. Gary Neville doesn't look so shit now does he?! :D

@WinningAdvice, that outrageous win for Barcelona and over 3.5 goals bet almost came off. Did you bet them separately? What is taking your fancy this weekend?

@Pep004, always keen to hear your views. Are Barcelona back on their steady form now? Is Suarez banned for this game? Or does it only count for the cup competition?

@Bett, it is always nice to see a new face getting involved. Your game was postponed last weekend. Any bets you like the look of this weekend?

@vasilli07, you're predicting Valencia to go on a bad run. So will you be betting on a Real Betis home win?

@betcatalog, what happened mate? You got a BTTS prediction wrong! This is the end! Only joking. Everyone is allowed a hall pass. What are you liking this weekend?

@discipline and @gogetta, will you guys be placing bets on La Liga this weekend?

let's just agree that valencia will get red carded, concede a penalty and lose 5-0 because that's what they are good at and we can't lose

Gary Neville, is that you? :lol

You do have a point though. I would not back them to win an egg and spoon race right now. I do have a soft spot for Real Betis from back in the Denilson and Alfonso days. The fact @Bett has just posted those odds about over 2.5 goals has got me even more intrigued.

Villarreal CF - Malaga

Full Event Home -0.50 (AH) @ 1.813 4/10 PINNACLE

Football / Spa. Primera / Kick off: 12 Feb 2017, 12:00

Match between 6th and 14th placed team in La Liga will be played on El Madrigal and it will start at 12:00 on Sunday. Villarreal recent form is far from good, as they won only once in last 5 matches in league and that caused them falling on 6th place. They're goal, 4th place and Champions league qualification is still not far, as 4th place is only 6 points above them + having match less. With win they will keep step with Sociedad and Atletico, and with Sansone and Trigueros fully fit, Soriano and Gonzalez back after suspension Yellow submarine will be stronger than last week - even without this 4 important players, they were able to hold goalless draw on Sanchez Pizjuan against strong Sevilla. Malaga is still having lots of injury concerns. They are still missing Ramirez, En-Nesyri, Recio, Llorente, Carlos, Rica, Kone, Kuzmanović, Weligton, with who this team would look much more competitive. In last round they lost at home against Espanyol, and even if they didn't play that bad, result was just another hit for their confidence. Villarreal needs a good start of this week when they will meet AS Roma in EL. I don't believe that Fran will rotate because of that, but even if he would, they have some quality players even on bench and they already proved that. With Sansone and Soriano back in team their offensive will be strengthen and at home they simply needs to make a series of good results. After slipping against Valencia (0-2), there is no space for more errors. Malaga is sitting on 14th place and even if they lost 4 of last 5 matches, there is still no bigger reasons for being worried as three teams - Osasuna, Granada and Gijon looks like they already bought tickets for Segunda. It's a harsh call, but they will seriously need to change many things if they want to survive this season.

Las Palmas whole league has 13 to 21 goals and 7 goals in 11 goals scored at home. Sevilla whole league has 15 to 21 goals scored and 8 to 11 goals away goals. Both teams score with ease and very often do Goals, so today I expect to score both and confirmed the Goals

Eibar v Granada

This match see's 8th v 19th.

It would appear to me that Eiber have established themselves as a solid mid-table La Liga side. They are unbeaten in 3 in all comps (9 goals in 3 games) and have a good home record having won in over 50% of these. Outside of facing the 'big three' clubs Eibar are undbeaten at home since defeat to Osasuna way back in November.

Granada are having an awful campaign. They managed to pick up a very credible 1-0 over Las Palmas but this was with (h) advantage and was their 1st win in 7. Their away record is brutal 0-3-8 and although they tend to score in these ties, the average of 3.00 goals conceded per match is surely too much for a result here?

Eibar at 1.57
