Carl Iles Posted January 7, 2017 Share Posted January 7, 2017 Difficult one to call this but what was interesting was the fact that Ainsworth rested a few of his stars against Newport and only brought them on when they went a goal down. .Am surrounded by Wycombe fans at work and am told on good authority that Ainsworth rested the key players because they are desperate for the £60,000 the club will get for winning the game. What Ainsworth has done on his budget is remarkable and he is destined for bigger things in the years to come. Would have been tempted by the Wycombe goal rush with the spread boys but the quote of 27-30 is prohibitive. Wycombe would need to score three goals to make a profit and Stourbridge seem to be on a pretty decent run themselves albeit a few leagues lower. Not the most original comment you will get on here but ultimately a no bet. I cannot see a giant killing here in view of Ainsworth's comments and the current fantastic run of form of the Chairboys.
