@StevieDay1983 Historically, this is a difficult round of fixtures to call. Experience has taught me to not get too involved this round and keep your powder dry for another day. The only bet i'll be having is a low stakes accumulator on some of the favourites; Man Utd, Newcastle, Leeds, Sheff Utd, Bolton, Doncaster.

@StevieDay1983

Tough round of fixtures, especially with teams only having played 2/3 days ago.

I'll be going for:

- LEEDS:   One of the league's form sides vs bottom of the league. Leeds have won 7 out of their last 9 Championship home games.

- NEWCASTLE:    Should have too much quality for a Blackburn side struggling in the relegation zone.

- SHEFF UTD:   Finally on top of the league and that's where I expect them to finish. Should have enough power to see off struggling Bury (2 draws in a row but they follow 12 league defeats on the bounce).

newcastle lost at home to blackburn only few weeks ago? i remember it well because it was a surprise result and newcastle were huge favorites. blackburn are going to be the hosts here and they have a decent chance of getting a result. i think sheffield utd may have an off day against bury. their last three victories came very late on and i just do not fancy them to bag an easy victory against bury who were hurting badly during a 12 match losing streak. bury have started to turn things around with two draws away from home against strong opponents,  fleetwood and bradford and this match is going to the played at their own turf. i could see an upset but in anycase i don't want newcastle or sheffield in my coupon

i'm tempted to go for fulham because they are having decent run in the league and playing at home is big advantage. i am certain they can get a result. brighton are good side also but eventually they will meet their match. i'm favouring fulham edging it something like 2-1

Fulham V Brighton

i didn't go to the reverse fixture earlier this season, but listened to it on the radio & spoke to a lot of people that did. The overwhelming opinion of those that went was that Fulham were unlucky to lose. They were the best team to visit the Amex this season & deservedly took the lead and should've had a comfortable lead by half time. Brighton did then as they have done all season, managed to get a result despite not playing well.

Brighton sold 4000 tickets in 2hrs for this game, and could've sold 10,000 easily, so the atmosphere will be great at the Cottage.

i think both teams should score in this game, but wouldn't put any money on the result.

I fancy Leeds to win

And Cardiff V Aston Villa U2.5 goals & a draw

I'd avoid Blackburn, they played my team on Saturday, granted they managed to get a point and score with their only chance but they were bloody awful totally lacking any ideas going forward, only a dogged defensive display and our continual profligacy in front of goal saved them for a hammering.

Crikey, as my weekend treble yielded 3 draws I'm struggling to pick anything out here with any confidence, the fixture list looks daunting in terms of winners!!

Firstly Reading are away at the nosediving Bristol City and are at priced at 21/10 which is generous given Bristol City are severely off colour. Reading have recorded 5 wins away from home, mainly against the strugglers which shows they are capable of taking care of the divisions laggers on the road and at the minute Bristol City look exactly that, 8 defeats in the last 9 in the league. One thing that might go in Bristol City's favour is that Reading are due up at Old Trafford on Saturday for an FA Cup tie.

Derby County travel to the equally out of form Norwich and are priced at again, maybe a little generously 21/10. Steve McClaren has turned them round since his return and as we all know, Norwich just cannot buy a win for love nor money. Derby have won 3 of their last 4 away fixtures. Interesting fixture this, either Norwich turn round their recent malaise or Derby register a win to send Alex Neil closer to the dole queue, clutching his P45.

Finally, lets drop to League 2 for my final selection and back the gift that keeps on giving away from home, Plymouth Argyle 13/10. I really do not understand why the bookies keep offering them up at such good prices on the road when they've already won 8 games on the road in the league. Granted Barnet have improved recently and are sitting just outside the play offs but they are no match for Plymouth surely? At 13/10 they can't be ignored, no way Jose. They seemingly have overcome their little blip do Plymouth and I think they can start being backed again with confidence now.

Haven't had a great deal of time to look at these fixtures but I would have expected Bolton to be shorter than the 21/20 on offer with a lot of bookies.

Going to go for the following accumulator;

WBA to beat Hull at home (10/11)

BOLTON to beat Coventry away (21/20)

DONCASTER to beat Stevenage at home (4/5)

CAMBRIDGE to beat Notts County at home (4/5)

WYCOMBE to beat Newport at home (3/4)

22.20 @ BetVictor

i've made up my mind on these so here is my selection. let's have some new year luck

leeds - good form and can beat worst performing team in division

fulham - i feel brighton will come unstuck here so i am going for fulham to edge it having scored 15 goals in last five matches.

wigan - wigan are hard to beat and keep it very tight and narrow. huddersfield are same but i'm inclined to think this one will swing in home favour

scunthorpe - silly odds on home team who haven't lost at home this season and scoring goals. peterborough failed to win their last two home matches.

cambridge - in form and consistently finding goals and haven't lost in 6 recent matches, got to be taken

doncaster - should prove stronger while stevenage have been leaking goals lately

wycombe - they are on tremendous 9 game unbeaten run and will be hard to beat. newport are in dire form with 6 consecutive defeats

carlisle - home team can outscore pretty much anyone in the league and have performed consistently this season.

liverpool - guests have been superb and play have too much quality for sunderland

west brom - home team are difficult to break at their own stadium and this is match pulis usually wins

man city -  i'm only putting this one in to compliment my accumulator because without it its 2 grand less :)

£10 stake = £10.000

In Championship for me i see most of the Away Teams as Favorite. Newcastle, Aston Villa, Preston, Reading and Derby for me are with good chances to grab all 3 Points.
But all of them can easy be a Draw. So i´ve got DNB Bets on Preston, Reading and Aston Villa.

Also i´m on On-Form Team Colchester against Out of Form and weak team of Cheltenham. Also i´ve got the feeling that Charlton will become a Home Win against Bristol Rovers.

that was crap too many late goals ruined it...sunderland with two merciful penalties but liverpool were all over them, and scunthorpe conceding late own goal and fulham missing penalties really set it up for brighton to punish them while carlisle run out of steam which is understable at this time of the year and wigan just didn't manage to nick a narrow win with home advantage.
