StevieDay1983
Interested to hear the views of those of you that live outside the UK about this. FIFA have decided to fine the English, Scottish, Northern Irish, and Welsh FA's a total of £80k for wearing or displaying poppies at the last round of international matches which coincided with the Armistice Day weekend. Now, in the UK, the poppy is seen as a mark of respect to all those that have lost their lives in conflict across the globe. I should add it's not necessarily restricted to just British casualties so it is very hard to argue that it's a political statement. Do you guys outside the UK feel it's a fair fine or are FIFA being a bit needless?
