Hexham 14:45 Landmarque @ 8/1 betfair sports e/w thanks

Landmarque.....from James Ewart yard was previously with Tony Coyle where he had 5 races under rules before spending the rest of his time over PTP before coming to Ewart yard in October this year , The 7yo been successful in a NH flat race and a point-to-point at 2m and 4m on good to soft ground he's also been placed 4 times two 2nd place on heavy PTP, and two 3rd place good to soft and soft ,

He's had two runs for new yard a 3rd at Carlisle 2m 4f soft in October and 28 days ago at Ayr 2m 4.5f soft in novice handicap chase when finished 4th made a mistake at 11th and never in it after that , He was wearing cheekpieces for first time and Dale Irving claiming 5lbs in saddle ,

They've had another 22 days to school him and to get him use to the cheekpieces as they only had the 10 days to work on him at new yard before his 2nd race they go with Dale Irving again and still claiming 5lbs and is down 2lbs to 108 mark

2.45 Hexham

BESCOT SPRINGS @ 4/1 Coral

Has been placed in 6 of his 10 runs on Heavy ground and has a great course record with three wins and two seconds from eight course runs.  Looked as good as ever last time when winning here by 5l has been put up 5lb for that win but a three figure mark shouldn't worry him with 6 wins off marks of 100+.  The only CD winner in the field and claimer who won on him last time takes off a useful 10lb on this ground.

12.55 Leic -  Violets Boy - win at 2/1 bog wm hill

Handicap chase

my selection has recently returned from 18 months off and looks quite well handicapped as he's won off higher in the past

Ran Ok a couple of times, 2nd then stumbled when booked for 2nd.Struggled a bit in a higher grade at Newbury last time but dropping on class and returning to a RH track could see him in a better light. Has won on g/f in the past

Favourite is Foundation Man who looks ok but does tend to do his winning in the autumn and has looked as though he might be tailing off a bit now that the winter is here even though the Firm ground might not be very wintery

2.35 Lingfield

Grey Mirage is a regular over the winter in decent handicaps and he made a very promising return to action last time out when 3rd behind Alfred Hutchinson in 2nd who has boosted that form (the winner has let it down slightly). He ran on strongly, can go well fresh but can also be expected to strip fitter for a yard going well. Cheekpieces refitted today also a positive to note along with course form of 4 wins and 5 placed efforts from 15 starts.

1pt win Grey Mirage 11/4 SkyBet
