3.15 Chepstow

Flying Angel 9/4 Bet365

With the flat racing at York and Newmarket looking very tricky i'm sticking with the jumpers and Flying Angel is taken to get the better of some smart looking rivals at Chepstow. He made a very impressive chase debut at Perth and that outing may just give him the edge over the Paul Nicholls trained favourite. That rival receives a lot of weight but makes his debut over fences and has his first start for a while. The Henderson pair are winners already but may want better ground than this to show their best.

Newmarket 16:10 : Yorkidding @ 50/1 paddypower e/w thanks

Yorkidding.....from Mark Johnston yard who send two down for this race the other horse being Oriental Fox, Yorkidding is a 4yo who is still improving and yard have even had him over to Germany this season with his last race being at Baden-Baden 1m 6f good in Germany when he finished 3rd beat by Weltmacht by 2.75 lengths ,

Previously to that race he ran here in Fly Stobart Air Handicap .class 2 1m 3f good to firm where he led centre group at 7f out and was overall leader over 2f out was ridden and hung left from over 1f out and was staying on,

Although stable jockey Joe Fanning has picked Oriental Fox after winning here with Yorkidding he may feel that the 4yo has never been 2m 2f before although has a 2nd at 2m I don't believe Mark is not believing that Yorkidding will not get the trip as yard famous for his horses having plenty of stamina

3.15 Chep - Flying Angel - win at 11/4 bog wm hill

Novice chase over 20F

I always used to think of this meeting as the start of the Jumps season proper and this Novice Chase is usually contested by decent horses

The fairly hot favourite is Clan des Obeaux from the Nicholls yard  who've been sending out novice chasers to win on debut for a few weeks now

But this one is only 4 years old and to date has proved best on soft ground at around 2 miles. Looks like a staying chaser in the making but there's enough doubt about whether he's ready yet for this company

My selection was a grade 3 winner over sticks, has won on good ground and handles undulating tracks. He's already won over fences, slamming a few 130s rated rivals at Perth last time out. He jumped like a stag and looks a natural and high class novice
