Minding 3/1 Betfred

A cracking renewal of the Champion Stakes and i'm going to side with the filly Minding. To me she has been the most impressive of the 3yo's this season especially when winning at Epsom and the Curragh. Last tim out she wasn't as impressive but got the job done ok and that will have put her spot on for this. Harzand is the obvious danger but to be honest you could draw up a short list full of potential winners of this terrific contest.

CHESTER 2 15 : Sir Billy Wright @ 8/1 William Hill e/w thanks

Sir Billy Wright.....from David Evans yard the 5yo been knocking at the door in last couple of races and looking as if there another win to come as he's won four times from 5f to 7f on ground varying from good to soft to heavy and on the all-weather,

He's not ran a 7f since 3rd at Doncaster GF in June but did win at Chepstow 7f Soft winning by a length off 81 in May, His last race was 12 days ago at Chepstow 6f GS when only beaten 1/4 length was running on and was just held by Munfallet , with the step up to 7f and the booking of experience jockey Robert Havlin to take over in saddle

Ling 4.10 - C Note - win at 9/4 bog ladbrokes

7f conditions race

With the Hannon runner a big outsider this looks to be between 3 of them

Aljuljalah is the current favourite but this might be a bit sharp for her if it turns into a typical small field tactical affair.......she was outpaced over a mile last time. Might be better off going up in trip not down

Difficult to choose between C Note and Salateen (I've backed them both......:hope). I've gone for C Note because he's less exposed and appears t go well fresh and comes here off a two month break. His last run appears better on the figures than that of Salateen, who hasn't won for over a year and might be something of a sitting duck if he makes the running

7.20 Leopardstown - Cornwallville e/w @ 12/1 Bet365

English raiders seem to mop up 5-7f Irish sprint handicaps and Cornwallville one just put up a personal best when upped to 7f. That race is working out really well and if he builds on that he should be right there. Another positive is his trainer Loughnane who seems like a promising upcoming trainer. Not sure coming back in trip suits Sikandarabad, Kelinni doesn't arrive in the same form he did last year and Time To Reason looks about the right price despite his progressive profile because of the record of Irish trainer's in these races. Withersnea might not have liked the good to firm ground he's been racing on recently but the ground won't be that bad at all here and he doesn't come off the page as being well handicapped off 95.
