He went down by a head that day and a reproduction of that form would see him win this weaker event. I fancied him on that occasion after showing up well in a Listed handicap off a mark of 123 previously and looks to have the Irish raider from the Gordon Elliott yard to beat here. Up another 3lbs today but that doesn't look excessive Has a high draw today which is considered 'bad' but he was in 10 last time and horses in 12, 11 and 17 were also in the first 5 home so maybe the effect of the draw is over-estimated although helping to get better odds !
