Hi All,

Poker Tournament in memory of Mark Gray.
£55 (£45 prize pool + £5 fee + £5 charity) + 1 re-entry
The charity is the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice which supported Mark & Donna through his illness.
The structure will be similar to the Bridkid Game - deep-stacked with plenty of play.

It's not obvious from the initial post, but this is not a PL run event. We're just advertising an event which has run for several years which is being re-named in honour of Mark.  The details are mostly available via the Facebook Group 'Bridkid Memorial Game' and an Event set up. My understanding is that the tournament is now full other than some places held back for satellite winners (presume will run on Betfred).

I have been waiting for a while now to confirm this as the casino manager has been on holiday.

As we have a meet up in October anyway.
This years meet up will be in memory of a true gent and a poker master the sadly departed tip2win

As most of you will know he was sadly taken away from us way to early last month

So on the 8th of October this year and every year after we will remember mark by holding the tip2win tournament.

The game will take place at the grosvenor casino at the Ricoh Coventry. Starting at 2pm.
It will be a £55 plus 1 re entry game with a great structure as always.

There will be a trophy for the winner which will kept for 12 months and engraved every year and then brought back every year so we can keep on remembering mark in a way he would of loved

I hope too see loads of regulars at this and hopefully some new faces from the poker community who knew Mark

If the equivalent of a seat token is not raised then the runners play for cash.

As far as I understand, additional seats were set aside for satellite winners, so anyone who didn't get a seat reserved at the outset can win a guaranteed seat this way.

It's the last satellite on Sunday, they are hoping for a good turnout so should generate a few seats. 

I think there might now be seats available to buy in on the day for those who didn't get chance to reserve a seat at the outset, so if anyone is interested please ask here and I'll get you added to the Facebook group.  Anyone who did reserve a seat needs to confirm they are definitely going. If you haven't got access to the Facebook group please post here and I'll pass it on.

It feels somehow wrong given the circumstances to say that I hope everyone has a great time, but I know that's what Mark would want more than anything and looking like a great turnout of forum members in his honour

Left it right up until the 11th hour before finally admitting defeat on the slim chance I'd make it, even for just a brief flying visit. Back is going to need a few more weeks to recover & just too far/long in the car or train to be viable I'm afraid. Will catch up with everyone another time though. Thoughts with the family, Donna & you all.

Hope it all goes well and a nice sum is raised for the charity.
