gogetta
Palmeiras vs Flamengo Top of the table clash, with both teams separated by a single point (Palmeiras 47 and Flamengo 46). The first fixture hosted by Flamengo in June was won by Palmeiras (2-1) - but the subsequent fan violence led to new restrictions by the superior sports court for this particular game: No Flamengo fans while Palmeiras was forced to leave some sections of the stadium empty. Even then, 30,000 tickets were sold for this game. Hosts have a good home record, with better squad quality but face some doubt in attack. Flamengo seeks revenge, play better as a group and is in slightly better form. It also has the best away performance in the league so far. The key difference this season has been the team's defensive resilience. This match is not a title-decider (with many rounds to go) but, still, a lot is at stake. Ahead of the game, the host-camp appeared to be anxious while the visitors were more relaxed. I expect the visitors to get a result. Flamengo AH+0.5 Ponte Preta vs Gremio The two teams are separated by two points (Ponte Preta 35 and Gremio 37). The hosts have been on a good run of form but come from a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to bottom team America MG. The hosts also have some attacking doubts ahead of this match; and the coach indicated that he would adopt a more defensive posture with more marking, seeking to exploit the opponent's weaknesses through counter-attacks. The visitors have recently endured a spate of bad results but seem to have turned the corner, with a morale-boosting 0-0 draw at home to league-leaders Palmeiras. Noticeable in their performance was the return to early strong marking. There is also pressure on the team to improve it's performance well ahead of the club elections. Therefore, the visitors will be seeking a result in this game and will be hard to beat. Under 2.5 goals. Results: Palmeiras 1-1 Flamengo Ponte Preta 3-0 Gremio Edited September 15, 2016 by gogetta
