Athletic Club vs. Granada
Athletic Club may have ranked higher against Granada but the result of their previous matches showed the latter was the dominant squad. It is going to be a no hold barred for Granada since they are fighting for survival.

Atletico Madrid vs. Real Betis
Atletico Madrid’s shocking defeat to Sporting Gijon prevented them from narrowing the gap between them and Barcelona. Since their title chances remain alive, rest assured that they will use every opportunity that they have against Real Betis to keep the pressure against the current league leader.

Barcelona vs. Real Madrid
Both Barcelona and Real Madrid sport a competitive form in this match, which might lead one to the conclusion that the teams would be sharing the spoils in this game. But it doesn’t really work that way for Barca is yet to experience defeat at home and whilst Real Madrid is eager in seeking revenge for the 0-4 thrashing that they experienced, there is very little chance for this dream to materialize.

Las Palmas vs. Valencia
This match is a make or break for Gary Neville. Valencia needs to win for him to survive and for the team to remain in Spain’s top-flight league.

Right now, Las Palmas’ present form is quite competitive. They came out as victors in four of their last six matches and hopefully, they will win the match against Valencia or at the very least, force them to settle for an even steven finish.

Gary Neville’s reign at Valencia remains questionable, most especially with their loss to Celta Vigo. It was their third straight defeat. Such performance readily explains why they are at the 14th spot of the league table.

Rayo Vallecano vs. Getafe
It’s a battle of survival for both Rayo Vallecano and Getafe and considering that their La Liga status is concerned, there is a chance that they would rather share the spoils than let another gain the upper hand.

Another draw slowed down Rayo Vallecano’s ambitions of moving away from the relegation zone. Though they are still in the safe zone, they are already at the brink of falling down and if not for their goal difference, they could have joined the ranks of teams struggling for survival.

The match against Granada was a difficult one. It was their side that constantly trailed the opponent and perhaps they are “lucky enough” to snatch a late minute goal that eventually forced them to equalize.

Getafe’s stalemate against Eibar could be a good start for them to move out of the relegation zone. But it could have been better if they earned all of the three points.

Deportivo La Coruna vs. Las Palmas

With its almost perfect form, Las Palmas is determined to snatch a convincing win against the team that they have only beaten once in their last six matches, Deportivo La Coruna.

Deportivo’s even steven finish against Celta Vigo wasn’t really a failure considering how competitive Celta Vigo is.

However, the host could hardly benefit from it since a four-match winless streak plagued them.

Las Palmas is sporting a spectacular form with just one loss in its last six matches. In their upcoming match, one cannot easily discount their winning chances due to their spectacular form as of the moment.

Occupying the 13th spot of the league table, Las Palmas sporst a strong defence, most especially in their away performances.

Valencia vs. Sevilla

Valencia gets the chance to salvage itself from the relegation zone during their match against Sevilla. However, it will not be easy since the Sevillistas are also aiming to end its poor run. There’s a chance for this match to end in a stalemate.

Currently, the Los Che struggles at the 15th spot of the league table. Its present form badly needs improvement since it has only won once in its last six matches. It might also help that its head-to-head with Sevilla shows that they have an equal number of wins, losses and draws.

A costly mistake against Real Sociedad prevented Sevilla’s hopes of outranking Celta Vigo. The crowd remained at the 6th spot when Grzegorz Krychowiak scored an own goal that doubled La Real’s lead. It also marked the second consecutive loss of the Sevillistas.

Villarreal vs. Getafe

Ranked 18th in the league table, Getafe will try to secure some points against the strong Villarreal. Yet, considering the differences in poor and performance, the visitor will have to face another bout of defeat.

The Yellow Submarine has finally ended its four-match winless run with a convincing win against Eibar last week. The match resulted in 1-2 and strengthened their tight grip of the table’s 4th spot. Should they continue such impressive performance, the team is very much capable of featuring in the Champions League next season.

Desperate and in badly need of a win, Getafe’s survival possibility doesn’t seem plausible as of the moment.

Its present form lacks grit. Four of its last six matches ended in a terrible loss and it has only managed to secure points via draws.

Sporting Gijon vs. Celta Vigo

A brave Sporting Gijon shall try to steal the limelight away from the strong Celta Vigo in their upcoming match. It will not be easy though they have the strongest motivation to secure the coveted win. Yet, the Os Celticos also have interests to pursue. Sevilla has been pressuring them in the race for a stronger finish and apparently, they cannot afford to give them the chance to outrank them.

Similar to Levante, Sporting Gijon hasn’t benefitted from the scoreless stalemate that they had during their recently concluded meeting. Though the host  gained a point, they remained at the rock bottom part of the table and is still one of the relegation candidates this season.

A draw stunned the Os Celticos during their intense match against Deportivo La Coruna. The host was obviously, perceived as the match’s heavy favorite, but it looked like they could only afford a stalemate.

Real Betis vs. Levante

With Betis suffering third straight loss, expect them to put up a challenge against the hapless Levante in their upcoming match. However, considering how desperate Levante is, there is a high possibility for the squad to force an even steven finish than allow the host to monopolize the points.

Real Betis badly needs to win the match against Levante following its massive thrashing from Atletico Madrid last week. The squad suffered a 5-1 loss, which also marked its third straight defeat in its last six matches.

A scoreless stalemate against Sporting Gijon could hardly benefit Levante’s survival aspirations. A draw could barely do anything to lift them out of the table’s rock bottom pit.

Levante needs at least four points to ensure their safety this season. If they’re able to snatch the points at Benito Villamarin, their dream remains alive.

Betis - Levante

It’s game 14th and 20th teams of La-League, the aim is not to fly out. Betis’s chances are of course better and Levante isn’t going to give up. Betis has 3 defeats in a row and will try not to disappoint fans in the upcoming match.

H2H on corners were successful for hosts – they won 4 of 7 matches (3 games were at home). Betis supervised 15 home games in the league, won 6 of them on corners, 7 defeats and 2 draws. The team got 2 wins on corners in last 4 tournament games, once was defeated and played draw game with one of the leaders Atletico Madrid. Levante played 15 away games and won only 3 times. The team takes very few corners at away on average 3.4 per match. In general, you can try to bet on hosts’ win on corners with 1.69 odds, maybe with “-1” handicap with 1.9 odds.

Total is very interesting in this match: bookies offer 9.5 total small biased towards over. The reason why I agree with this opinion is that Betis’s home games this total was covered 5 times. They took 9 corners in the match, in which total wasn’t exceeded, it means that it was too close to cover. Covering 9.5 total at away matches of Levante isn’t rarity – in 5 of 8 last matches total was exceeded. But you should cautiously bet on total over 9.5 corners. A small quantity of taking by Levante corners can make itself felt.

Sporting - Celta

One of league outsiders will play home game with one of the leaders. Celta can be absolutely calm about its place in Europa League in the next season. On the other hand, Sporting really need win in order to try toy to fly out and to stay on next season in the Primera.

Ironically, despite outsider status, Sporting looks very confidently on corners: 11 wins in 15 matches. 2 of 4 defeats Sporting got by Barcelona and Real Madrid – grand teams, with which every team feel really difficult to compete, not mentioning modest Sporting. Should be admitted that first of all team gets wins on corners because doesn’t allow to take encounters corners – on average 3.33 corners a game (it’s the second in the League).

Celta doesn’t look convincingly enough on corners: only 4 wins in 15 away games. The team took 15 corners in last 3 games, although the team has hardly take 3 corners a game in 6 tournament week before. If to compare how Sporting allows to encounters take corners, it won’t be surprise that Celta’s players will take maximum 5 corners.

You can try to bet on Sporting’s win on corners with 1.75 odds and also bet on hosts with 2 odds in "Race to (5) of the corners" in this match.

Atletico Madrid vs. Granada

Inspired by progressing into the Champions League’s semis, Atletico Madrid’s next target is the league’s coveted silverware.

Coming off from a great comeback against the Catalan giant, Barcelona, there is no doubt that Atletico Madrid will do everything to win this match.

Following Barca’s three-match winless streak, the latter’s lead has already fallen down to three. Atletico knows this well and will try to use the current situation to exploit their opponent’s misery.

Granada’s four consecutive draws may have prevented them from falling into the relegation zone, yet, this doesn’t mean that they’re already safe.
Right now, they need more than just a point. Draws could only do as much, but this can hardly help them survive.

Barcelona vs. Valencia

Barcelona is expected to wage an all-out war to Valencia after having being knocked out of the Champions League and at the same time, leaving the title race open due to a series of unfortunate events.

Valencia, on the other hand is more than ready to accept the challenge since they’re also fighting for survival.

Getafe vs. Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s undefeated six-match streak already meant that they shall secure the upper-hand against the struggling Getafe. The latter has just appointed a new manager to ensure their survival. But it looks like  their upcoming match will not grant them the points that they need.

Juan Esnaider’s appointment as Getafe’s new head honcho reignited the club’s hopes of retaining their La Liga status despite struggling at the relegation zone. Currently, the squad sits on the 18th spot of the league table and is just two points away from safety.

Real Madrid’s renewed confidence that is derived from their successful victory against Wolfsburg in the Champions League will be one of its strongest weapons against the struggling Getafe. Right now, it can be observed that the team is getting better in its performance.

Atletico Madrid vs. Rayo Vallecano

Eager to snatch the title, Atletico Madrid will not waste the opportunity to win the La Liga silverware. Unfortunately, Rayo Vallecano will have to be the sacrificial lamb in this match.

Still a contender for the title race, Atletico Madrid will fight tooth and nail to keep the pressure against Barcelona and hopefully, snatch the most coveted La Liga trophy.

Rayo Vallecano put up a good fight against the Los Blancos last week even if they lost the said match. The result ended in 2-3, but there’s nothing to be ashamed of since they were able to prevent a dreaded thrashing.

Real Betis vs. Barcelona

Though occupying the top spot of the league table, it is Barcelona that feels the pressure than Real Betis. They need to follow a no-lose policy if they’re to bring home the trophy this season.

Real Betis is already safe from relegation considering the fact that there are only three matches left before the season ends.

The pressure is on to Barcelona. Clearly, they cannot afford to lose this match or settle for an even steven finish since its title rivals, which happened to be Madridistas (Atletico and Real Madrid) are only waiting for them to commit a mistake before they take advantage of the current situation.

Real Sociedad vs. Real Madrid

Real Madrid will do anything to steal the spotlight from Barcelona. They’re still a strong contender for the title and all they need to do is keep on winning and wait for Barcelona to slip.

La Real was of course, impressive after snatching a scoreless stalemate against Villarreal. It may not be the best result that they were expecting, but at the very least, they were able to snatch a point out of its worthy opponent. This could give them a boost when they face Real Madrid.

Now that Real Madrid is back in the title race, it’s quite impossible for them to drop points in this particular match. They need to keep the pressure against Barcelona since the latter’s demise resulted to a three-way race between the Catalan giant and the Madridistas. Apparently, their upcoming match favors them since they’ve dominated four of their last six matches.

Sporting Gijon vs. Eibar

Eibar’s present rank doesn’t guarantee that they’ll be able to outlast Sporting. They’ve only beaten the host twice in its last six matches and considering the latter’s home court advantage Eibar’s winning possibilities is quite slim.

Unless Sporting Gijon strictly observes a no-lose policy, its chances of retaining its La Liga status have slowly declined.

Eibar’s response to their manager’s call for not  dropping points in their remaining matches, was quite disappointing.

During their encounter against Deportivo, the club could only manage a stalemate and while they’re not playing for survival, their manager, alongside with their supporters are dreaming of a stronger finish.

The relegation battle in La Liga is yet again proving to be a really tight tussle involving many teams. Sporting are in 18th and have 3 games to save themselves. This is on paper the most winnable and they will be desperate for 3 points from that to go into their six-pointer at 19th place Getafe next weekend. The only reason Sporting are still alive and fighting is their two massive home wins against Atletico Madrid and Sevilla that have come within the space of their last 3 home games. They'd gone 8 matches without a win prior to their late comeback against Diego Simeone's title challengers that seems to have given them belief that they can beat the drop.

In many ways this is the ideal game to have at this stage in the season. At home against an Eibar side that have already secured their survival and in doing so achieved their only real objective this term. The Basques have nothing to play for and aren't in good form, particularly on the road where they've picked up just 2 points from their last 8 games in La Liga.

They have been shipping plenty of goals too. They have let in 22 goals in those games have conceded twice or more in 9 of their 13 away matches since the start of December. Sporting are a side that is better going forward than at the back and they have scored twice or more in 4 of their last 7 home games. Those 2-1 wins over Sevilla and Atleti have really galvanised their home fans, who are among the best in La Liga and could play their part here to so backing Sporting Gijon to score 2 or more goals looks a decent bet at 8/11 and they should have enough to win the game, the way Eibar have been playing lately.
