This horse has bolted up the last two times he has run at Leicester and whilst this is undoubtedly a more competitive race he looks a little overpriced to me with Stilletto coming off a fall (albeit when travelling well but doesnt always find loads), and Prideofthecastle a potential bounce candidate. A couple of the others arent the greatest of jumpers either, albeit the selection isnt always the fluentest either having unseated last time (partly hampered). Only had 3 runs under rules so has plenty of improvement in him. Has shown enough on Heavy ground to suggest it won't inconvenience him here. However because of that he has dropped down to 117 which is 5lbs lower than his hurdles mark and now running over the appropriate distance I think this 6 year old can make some progress over the larger obstacles. As a Gigginstown pointer he will be expected to do better in this sphere and Elliott seems to have found a weak enough race for him tomorrow. Was rated 109 after a maiden hurdle victory but career went on stall after trying fences. Back over hurdles this season and ran two very promising races before being sold to the Doctor. Has found a good opportunity here, likes the ground, stays well and has put a 10b claimer on just to make sure. He ran his best race for a while last time out to finish 3rd but he's looked very in and out for a while now and puts in a few bad ones. Even last time he was out the back and struggling before running on through tiring horses. I'm not sure he can be trusted to run his race and he's only had 12 days to recover from that run at Sandown Corrin Wood appears to have declined markedly in the last couple of years Neptune Equester is a game old horse aged 13 who is a real course specialist but usually runs in lesser races than this and even on heavy ground he might be outpaced over today's trip......his last two wins have been over 4 miles. However he's in good form and loves it here Soll is the top rated on official figures, acts on heavy and won last time out. All his career wins have come in the 3 months January to March so this is his time of year. My main concern is that 6 of is 7 wins have come in double figure fields and there's only 4 runners today. This one looked a stayer on the upgrade and it may not been his mark that stopped him last time it could have been he ran into a decent horse, having said that he still finished second and runs off the same mark today. Pipes horses have been a little disappointing this month considering his record in February in recent years but he did have an impressive winner in Scotland yesterday. Altiepix set a really good gallop on testing ground but looked beaten coming to the 2nd last with Tipped Up Harry travelling the best in the lead with Kileena House also making progress into 2nd. Then Tipped Up Harry made a bad mistake at the 2nd last unseating his rider and Altiepix rallied back to regain the lead before a tired Kileena House attempted to jump the last but landed on top of the fence!
