5.15 Wolverhampton
A couple of these have shown a little bit of form recently, Bush Beauty was a winner over 6f around here. That race hasnt worked out that well a 3lb rise in a stronger looking race looks enough to take her on. By Rights has run 2 good races latest 3 days ago at Southwell again this looks a stronger race today but potentially well treated still 1lb his best win, yet to try this surface.
Air Of York looks the one they all have to beat win in October at Chelmsford, a good 3rd behind the well treated Burren View Lady off revised mark before an impressive winner at Southwell 3 days ago over the 6f extending away comfortably in the final furlong and with a clear lack of pace in this race it will probably suit for him to sit up with the pace over this 6f and he could prove hard to beat under a 6lb penalty as he still looks to be improving for this yard.

1pt win Air Of York 7/4 bet365

W7.45 Dolphin Village 16/1 Betvictor

This horse is having its first run for a more high profile stable here and they've booked one of the best 3lb claimers around for the ride. The horse won off 82 on the turf last year and todays mark of 71 and the jockeys 3lb claim looks to be potentially a lenient one. The tongue tie is also left off here for the first time in a while and all the horses 5 career wins were without it. Big chance if the new stable sparks the horse back into form.

240 Newbury: Royal Regatta 11/1 PP/SJ

I was at Newbury last year when this horse was successful in soft ground. Hasn't ran on it since so i'm hoping he will appreciate the conditions here.

He was second off 144 at Ascot so should be able to make an impact of his current mark of 147 and will be all the better for his seasonal debut which was a bit of a farce when he was left stranded at the start after swerving as the tapes went up. He never recovered but it will have sharpened him up.

Newb 2.05 - Maximiser - win at 7/2 bog bet365

Feature race of the day - a grade 2 Novice Chase won in the last few years by 3 future Gold Cup winners - Denman, Bobs Worth, Coneygree plus other good horses like Dynaste, Wonderful Charm, Punchestowns

I'm lookng beyond the current favourite, Activial, who might be promising and from a form yard but he still hasn't won for nearly 2 years and 6 outings

I'm also overlooking the two that have come out of the Huntingdon race a couple of weeks ago as the couple that have run since from that race have let the form down a bit

With a couple of big outsiders, a horse that hasn't run for nearly 3 years and two penalised runners I've landed on Maximiser. He's a grand chasing type, very lightly raced, not from a big yard. He ran in 2 novice hurdles winning both easily then was just pipped on chase debut in what is usually a decent race at Carlisle with the Post noting that he jumped well and showed a good attitude when headed to rally and fight back

Can front run.

2:40 Newbury : Upsilon Bleu sp e/w thanks

Upsilon Bleu.......from Pauline Robson yard if its blue or bleu in name that will do for me the 7yo has had a break for 223 since he last ran at Ayr 21.5f Good when 3rd off 143 mark was beaten 17.5 lengths by Rascal,

He's been a winner of four hurdle races and three chases from 2m to 2m 4f on good to soft and soft ground , Jockey Noel Fehily takes over as his last jockey was A P McCoy and is back up in ratings to 147,

Carters Rest in the 2.55 at Musselburgh, 1/2 pt e/w 8/1 with various including Bet 365. Stable in good form with two winners and a second from last three runners, including the       selection at Market Rasen, ably assisted by Joanna Walton in the saddle.

She was a little bit unlucky but still gave him a peach of a ride, wasn't much in it for the age difference, was always wise playing safe at the odds.

Young Phillip Prince never gets the credit he fully deserves, fine ride in that race.
