Warwick 12:40 :Murray Mount @ 8/1 bet365 win thanks

Murray Mount.....from Charlie Mann yard I picked this one as a mugs double for today as Andy Murray plays Nadal in the tennis and Murray Mount is running before Andy takes the court at 02 Arena ,

Murray Mount is a 5yo who's was a winner at 5-1 in a hurdle race at Bangor over 2m 4f good on his latest outing last month his only win after 8 races he's ran , four of his 8 runs where in hurdle races and although his first two runs where out the frame the last two was a 2nd place and that win,

They've tried 5 different jockeys on horse with Harry Bannister the jockey that was in the saddle in that win 22 days ago and keeps the ride

2.30 Chepstow - Big Society win @ 8/1 Bet365

0 from 11 over fences but has been placed 4 times and has run well on multiple occasions. He's done his chasing exclusively in class 3 races but today he runs in a class 4 for the first time. He's pulled up the last twice which has seen his mark fall to 116 - the lowest in his chasing career and 7lb lower than when he finished a close 2nd a few races ago. I think there are excuses for his last two non completions. One came after a break so he was entitled to need it and one was in a 3m 7f race the day after he completed a 3m race so no real surprise that he found that tough. He has had his jumping problems but on his day he is capable of winning on a mark like this. The trainer is in cracking form and has had 3 winners from his last 5 and 6 winners from his last 10. Trip/ground should cause no problems.

Kemp 5.55 - Just Fred - EW at 66/1 bog wm hill

This month has never got going for me in the comp despite having a decent winner on day one

So I'm casting around for long shots to try and hit my way into form.......

2yo maiden on the AW

My selection is a big price but there's a chance he'll improve on his 2nd run.....last time out on debut was held up at the back before making some late progress in a similar race to this. He was beaten 13L but that's slightly deceptive as the winner was 7L clear of the field........so he was only 6L behind the placed horses

Conceivable he could gain a few lengths for the experience and maybe being put into the race earlier.

Unless of course they're just running him for a handicap mark in which case he'll probably stay out the back and make late headway to finish 5th........but if most of the other jockeys are under the same instructions one of them has to cock up and finish 3rd

7.25 Kempton

Tricky looking card all round, really good fast track qualifier with some top qualit horses running but the market looks just about right and impossible to have a bet in however one in this looks well worth a punt in a very good grade of staying event for the time of year.

Ridgeway Storm has a solid rcord around here with 3 wins and a placed effort from 5 starts, needs to return t his best after 2 poor efforts on turf recently and may be plenty high enough in the weights at present.

Moonrise Landing remains unexposed and returned to winning ways last time out with the blinkers removed however that was over 4f shorter and this clearly demands more from 5lb higher.

Longshadow has finished runner up last 2 starts and is clearly in good heart at present but he does continue to creep up the weights.

Le Maitre Chat was a realy good 8th in the Cesarewitch when last seen this represents a drop in trip and more emphasis on speed especially on the AW which would be a concern.

Percy Veer could be the one to stick with he won over 2f shorter last time out at Chelmsford in really good style forging clear, has tried this trip once before with a solid effort over CD and a repeat of his latest win he will take al the beating off 8lb higher mark.

1pt win Percy Veer 4/1 PP

230 Chepstow: Boyfromnowhere 3/1 Bettered/BetVic

Taking a chance on this one and hoping he will recapture his old form now with Neil Mulholland (his 3rd trainer in 2015).

Dropped like a stone down the handicap but won a point to point by 15 lengths last time out, now that may have been a weak contest but off this mark he must be worth a shot. He stays forever and loves the mud, which is tailor made for Chepstow.

1.55 Chepstow  POETIC PRESENCE is interesting in a first time visor, as shown next to nothing so far and the trainer, Adrian Wintle, also has the likely favourite in the race.  Wouldn't be the first time a horse with no decent form has been improved by the fitting of headgear, so with the trainer also having the favourite, it just makes me a little more interested in this outsider.  Could be wrong, but worth the risk at big odds.

1pt win 28/1 Betfred BOG
