The two sides have only met four times in the longest format, with a series played in each country. Australia have won all four. Given that the last one was in 2006, this alone isn’t a huge indicator. Yes it is true that the home team is much improved and has a better domestic infrastructure than ever, but they are running into an Australia team that is simply too good.
