Darran
Wss hoping to write some previews when I got home from work, but currently stuck on a train so that isn't going to happen now. Did want to flag up the one bet I have had so far and that is Bromley to beat Woking at 5/2. To be fair to Woking they did well against Tranmere at the weekend and they only went down to a free kick. The really big problem for them though was that Scott Rendell went off injured and tonight it has sadly come out that he is out for the season. That is a disaster for Woking as when he was injured last season they had a massive dip in form. He is pretty irreplaceable and they can certainly kiss goodbye to any play off hopes they had. I have backed bromley for a top half finish this season and they got off to a flyer by beating Wrexham on Saturday. They have goals in them and that is something Woking are going to lacking. There is a bit in mileage in that price and I suspect it will shorten.

Darran
Guiseley v Altrincham Two sides who I think will struggle this season, but I thought Altrincham showed more promise on Saturday. They lost 1-0 to Forest Green, but by the sounds of it they could easily have got something out of the game. If anything this game is even more crucial to get the three points from given Guiseley are likely to be around them come April. Guiseley got their season off with a defeat at Welling, another team who I think will struggle. Reports suggests it was a poor quality game and I just wonder if it might take Guiseley a little bit of time to adjust to this league. I certainly think Alty are a sporting play at BetVictor’s 23/10. Truro City v Hayes & Yeading The home side should have a decent home advantage this season especially when playing on a Tuesday night. It is going to be a massive journey for most of the teams in National League South and if Truro are going to survive in this league they need to make that advantage count. They got a very good point at Margate on Saturday and that was a good start for them. Hayes lost out to Whitehawk by the odd goal in seven and that was a good effort as well, but I think they might struggle to get any points out of this game. Bet365 go 5/4 about a home win. Chesham v Hitchin Both these sides lost on Saturday, but Chesham played well despite going down a goal to nil against Leamington. Hitchin lost 3-2 to league newcomers Stratford and that doesn’t bode well for the rest of the season. Chesham have a decent side this year and should be involved at the right end of the table. The general 13/10 looks a decent bet for a home win. Merstham v Dulwich Hamlet I am off to this game this evening and am fully expecting to see an away win. Dulwich are my tips for the title and they got off to a great start when winning 3-0 on Saturday against Canvey Island. They put in an impressive performance. They should have too much for league newcomers Merstham who lost 4-3 to Bognor on Saturday. That proves they can score, but Dulwich are at their best going forward and if they conceded 4 to Bognor then Dulwich should get plenty of chances tonight. Dulwich look the best bet of the evening at 21/20.
Cheltenhamwhite
Dover vs Kidderminster I fancy Dover to win this match and have gone with them at 11/10 with Coral. Dover have made some good signings most notably striker Ricky Miller who has had a great pre season and is working his socks off to prove a point after a release from Luton due to a personal court case he has coming up in October and he is trying to repay the faith his new employers have in him (He was also on loan for a couple of months last season at Dover and turned an ailing season around) . Miller netted on Saturday (but the goal was sadly disallowed) against a compact and well funded Barrow side in Dovers 2-1 defeat after a long Journey north for Dover who bossed the game and should of had it sewed up by half time, I fancy him score tonight. Miller is part of a potent forward trio along with Stefan Payne and Tom Murphy who offer pace, skill and a direct attack on goal and they will cause no end of problems for alot of teams this season. Dover overcame their long term appalling home record last season and arguably where the divisions form team in the last two thirds of the season going 21 games unbeaten after an initial 1 win in the first 11 games and while they are unlikely to hit those heights this year Chris Kinnear sets up his teams well. The loss of central defender Connor Essam to Leyton Orient is a blow and the midfield is a little lightweight as Kinnear is effectively plays a 5-2-3 but Im hoping at home that will not be exposed as much. Kidderminster who have a long midweek journey down today to Dover came back twice at home to draw 2-2 with Grimsby on Saturday which was a credible result but the money issues at the club are well documented and while they still have experience in the side they have had to look lower down the leagues for some recruits and a hard season to consolidate may lie ahead. Kelvin Langmead who is an imposing central defender with plenty of experience is missing for them tonight and that may be exploited by Dovers pacey attack who a part of a side with something to prove after two defensive mistakes on Saturday. I think if this game was being played in three months time these odds for the Dover win could be alot lower than they are now so I am snapping them up on the basis that I think Dover should have too much in an attacking sense tonight at home. Its not a surefire bet as nothing ever is in football but I cannot ignore the odds on offer. Bets: Dover to win 11/10 A smaller stake on Ricky Miller 1st goalscorer at 7/1 and Ricky Miller two goals or more at 18/
Darran
I thought the Dover price was about right myself. A long old trip to Barrow on Saturday probably isn't an ideal prep although they soundedlike they were unlucky not to get at least a point. I don't think Kiddie's first 11 is anywhere near as bad as people are making out. They have some good players although not much depth to it. Dover obviously the right favs but wouldn't surprise me if Kiddie finished above Dover this season.
Cheltenhamwhite
Dover 3 Kidderminster 2 - Bet won Dover blew a 2 goal half time lead but got the winner in the 83rd minute. Bit dissapointed Ricky Miller got taken off midway through the 2nd half after scoring a goal and then being a constant threat. If he had got the double at 18/1 that would of been very good odds. You won't see 18/1 again this season.on him scoring two or more at home against teams like Kidderminster. Good tip on Dulwich Addpea. I did a £25 double with Dover.
