kevshat
Tournament preview: 1pt ew Denmark to win U21 European Championship 11/1 Bet365 (1/3 1-2) One side who could provide the value in the outright market are Denmark. They have had a structure in place for a while with various age groups all playing the same tactics and formation from much younger ages. In addition ten of their squad have senior caps including Chelsea defender Andreas Christiansen. Fulham midfielder Lasse Vigen Christensen and Bayern Munich’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could be two stars of the future too. Denmark went through a competitive group unbeaten in qualifying, scoring 37 goals in the process – the most in the group stage, and then they beat an improving Iceland side so Denmark could be the ones to upset the main two in this tournament. kevshat
4pts Germany U21 (-1AH) to beat Serbia U21 1.93 BetVictor Ultimately I think Germany might have a little too much for the Serbians in this match. I’m certainly not going to write Serbia off long term at all but Germany have reinforced their squad with some real top level talent at any level and that talent should see them have more than enough to get their campaign off to a winning start. We all know German footballers are ruthless so I can see them being a couple of goals too good here. kevshat
Thursday preview: 4pts England U21 vs Portugal U21 - Both teams to score 4/5 Betway I thought about backing England but I am conscious that our tournament record at all levels isn’t as strong as it could and perhaps should be and given that this is their opening match of the event and their toughest test in the group stages Southgate’s men might be looking more to avoid defeat than risk going for the win so rather than chance either to win I’m happy to take both sides to score. There are some great attacking players on show in this match and both sides focus their emphasis more on attack than defence and that can lead to both sides finding the net. It is completely the opposite to those senior and more famous players who wouldn't want to risk getting injuries playing for the national team because the club salaries are what is much more important to them. Serbia's record (as Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro) is impressive – in eight final tournament appearances, they have finished winners once, runners-up three times, and reached the semi-finals on three other occasions. Only once have they not survived the group stage. U20 qualified for the final of the World Cup this morning, so that their morale will be high so it may compensate the absence of several important players. I don't see the value in Germany (which is fairly better team) this time. Good luck!
McNasara
Czech Republic v Denmark Preparation for the tournament has been far from ideal. With no competitive games under their belt in the lead up to hosting the Euro’s, it could prove to be their downfall. The Czech Republic are somewhat short of real match practice due to their host nation status, last playing a competitive game back in 2013 in which both Tomas Kalas (most caps) and Vaclav Kadlec (top scorer) were sent off and in turn are suspended for the opener with Denmark. Both are key players and it will be a problem for them, also the Czechs suffered a major blow ahead of the tournament as Watford owner Giampaolo Pozzo blocked Matej Vydra's call-up to the U21 side. All other players are playing in their domestic league without a lot of experience, so you should expect a very defensive game from them. Denmark was unbeaten throughout qualifying, topping Group 2 with 26 points, second only to England. Scored 37 goals in 10 group games, six more than anyone else. Jess Thorup took over the team three years ago, and they haven''t suffered defeat since then. What is particularly Danes stand out is the fact that he is within its mandate promoted 10 senior NT players, all of whom will be present at the European Championships. Denmark have several big players missing but have still managed to secure a ridiculously talented set of 23 players for the tournament. There are several doubtful regulars, but we should expect that all be fit for this very important match. Denmark (0) $1,86 Pinnacle medium stake Denmark to nil $4,00 Bet365 low stake prediction>> Czech Republic 0:1 Denmark

McNasara
Italy v Sweden The Azzurri are the only squad at the 2015 finals with not a single player capped at senior level, but they are the most successful nation in the history of the competition, with five Championships won (In the 2013 U-21 Championship Italy lost the final against Spain). Strikers A. Belloti (Palermo, 6 goals in Serie A and 6 goals for NT in qualification) and D. Berardi (Sassuolo, 15 goals in Seria A last season) are their key players and are expected to continue this year's series of goals. Given that the next opponents are England and Portugal, Marco di Biagi will try with offensive tactics and formation 4-3-3 to win the three points tonight. Otherwise, they've reached 23 goals in 10 qualifying games and won 7:0 against Inter's youth side last Friday in their final warm-up game. Sweden have the highest number of players with senior caps in their squad at this tournament (12) and they scored as many as 24 goals in 10 qualifying games and have no defeat in six friendly matches. Their greatest weapon will be the duo of strikers who both offer very different styles of play. They are I. Thelin (big, strong and technical) who moved to Bordeaux this year and J. Guidetti (quick, nippy and hits the channels) who will be highly motivated because many scouts following him after the excellent season in Celtic (was on loan from Man City). However, right back E. Krafth is injured, while key centre back (and vice-captain) A. Milosevic played 90 minutes for Sweden's senior team in the 3:1 qualifying win against Montenegro on 14 June. The most recent competitive encounter beetween these two was in the 2013 qualifying play-offs, Italy won with overall score 4:2 and Scandinavians want revenge now as they are outsiders in the group. So they will be motivated and without pressure, but the Italians are better quality team and should play offensively, in any case - both sides have very promising strikers and not very strong defense. kevshat
4pts Denmark U21 (+0.75AH) to beat Germany U21 1.98 Ladbrokes I think Denmark will give as good as they get in this match and I think the bet is to take them on a handicap of some kind. The Asian line gives them a 0.75 goal head start which means Germany have to win by two to deliver a full loss. I think Denmark score in this match and so I don’t see them losing by two. In fact I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they don’t lose at all. kevshat
4pts England U21 to beat Sweden U21 17/20 Bet365 One thing we are going to see in this match is whether England truly are disadvantaged by not selecting the full range of players available to them in this tournament. Sweden have a number of full internationals in their squad for this tournament which proved an advantage against Italy but they played over an hour with 10 men and this match comes soon after that so I’m going to back England to deliver a more composed and structured performance and get the win they need. harry_rag
Germany U21 v Denmark U21: Sell time of 2nd Denmark goal at 81 with SPIN I'm sold on the prospect of goals in this game and the chances of Denmark making a closer game of it than the markets anticipate. That said, I've struggled to find any prices that really appeal. This one just about cuts the mustard, it's fairly low risk and could return a decent profit if Denmark really make a game of it. Having read Kevshat's preview I'll be taking a closer look at the options for backing Sisto to score. I'm still waiting for both spread firms to have goal minutes prices up.
harry_rag
Having had a look at the goalscorer prices for the favourites, I've bought Bittencourt's goal minutes at 9 with Spreadex and backed Schulz to score at 24 on BF. Latter has an impressive 5 goals from International Youth football (16 appearances, 13 starts) though it's only fair to say he's scored just twice in 123 domestic appearances (83 starts). I'm hoping his stats for the National team are an indication of how he's deployed rather than a random anomaly though, at that price, the stake's modest enough. I wouldn't take the best bookies' price of 10/1 but a buy of his goal minutes at 3 wouldn't be a bad alternative. Bittencourt is 13 to buy elsewhere and shorter than that price would imply with the fixed odds firms. Apparently playing on the wing, that price just looks too big though his stats are neutral at best (2 goals in 11 appearances/4 starts at this level, roughly a goal every 6 starts at club level). Off to look at Denmark's starters now.
harry_rag
For the Danes, I've taken Sisto anytime at 6.6 and Brock-Madsen anytime at 10/3 with Lads. Latter is seen as their main attacking threat and appeals to me at anything better than 3/1, former was brought to my attention by Kevshat's preview and appeals at the price. So hoping for a few goals here, with at least 1 or 2 from the selections!
harry_rag
Couldn't have been more wrong on last night's game! No bet thus far on England v Sweden, both teams to score feels likely but, even if it was my sort of bet, 10/11 strikes me as slightly too short. The other game makes a bit more appeal with Portugal (despite drifting slightly) fancied to prevail over Italy and score 2 or more in the process. I've opted for: Italy U21 v Portugal U21: Buy Portugal goal rush at 15 with Spreadex or Star Spreads Anything can happen in football so stake with the risk of an Italy clean sheet in mind but I like the prospect of a bet that sees little downside as long as Portugal score at least once and shows a profit for 2 or more. (Goal Rush market awards 0 points for 0 goals then 10 for 1, 20 for 2, 33 for 3, 50 for 4, 70 for 5 and 100 for 6 or more.)
kevshat
Tuesday preview: 4pts Germany U21 to win to nil 19/10 Coral I always find betting on matches where the favourite doesn’t need to win quite tricky but I don’t think this German side can just settle for drawing and going through. A lot more is expected of them than that and as such I think they will push for the win although I wouldn’t expect them to commit silly numbers to get it. Czech Republic don’t have a lot to lose in this match but after their win at the weekend a lot more expectation will be on their shoulders now and they will have to cope with that. I’m sure they will give this a good go but I would expect the Germans to be ruthless and to win the match and most probably do it without conceding too. kevshat
Wednesday preview: 4pts England U21 vs Italy U21 - Under 2.5 goals 4/6 Ladbrokes With that in mind the best bet could be to take under 2.5 goals. Both sides have only scored once in the tournament and I don’t see an avalanche suddenly coming here. England should be stronger defensively and find me an Italian side who can’t defend – they don’t exist! Throw in the extra meaning on the match and we should get a tight one. MPLouis
Group B final group games Wednesday 24th June 19.45 Once again, all four teams can qualify, and there could well be a few goals in these games as both sides go looking for a result. But these teams are more defensively-minded, and scored far fewer goals in the group games than the Group A sides, so I am reluctant to back 'overs'. I do think there may be opportunities to back late 'overs' in-play if one side is chasing the game and one goal short of qualification. MPLouis
Group A final group games Tuesday 24th June 19.45 All four teams can qualify. This should make for some exciting games, and there could be quite a few goals. I think odds for 'overs' are worth taking at current odds. harry_rag
Portugal v Germany: Bought Portugal's corners squared at 31 with Spreadex They gained 7,6 and 6 in the group stage while Germany conceded 4, 6 and 6. I think there's enough chance of Portugal gaining the 6 or more corners required to show a profit to make the bet appealing at the price. Could buy multi corners at 7 with SPIN (1st half x 2nd half) but I'm avoiding the extra risk in case their attacking all comes in one half! jenneby
So hoping for a few goals here, with at least 1 or 2 from the selections! actually Brock-Madsen is the worst player in our whole team, including every position. We havent produced a great striker since Bendtner, and we can all see how that went

kevshat
Final preview: 4pts Portugal U21 to beat Sweden U21 17/20 Paddy Power Sweden will give this a good go. It is a final and in many ways they’ve nothing to lose now but Portugal have looked strong throughout this tournament and can get the win their efforts have merited in this final.
