Re: April 13 - April 19 Back Grigor Dimitrov to beat Fernando Verdasco for a 7/10 stake at 1.60 with BetVictor Verdasco doesn't have a particularly noteworthy record in Monte Carlo and the fairly long run in Houston isn't going to help him either, so I fancy Dimitrov strongly in this one. Re: April 13 - April 19 Back Andreas Seppi to beat Tommy Robredo for a 7/10 stake at 2.40 with BetVictor Seppi hasn't done much wrong so far this season, while Robredo looked suspect in those matches that I saw, so I wouldn't have the Italian as the underdog here. More like a coin-flip than anything. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/seppi-vs-robredo-betting-andreas-seppi-can-defeat-tommy-robredo-for-the-fourth-time

Re: April 13 - April 19 Back Tomas Berdych to win ATP Monte Carlo for a 1/10 stake at 26.00 with Unibet The only logical play I'd say. Berdych is going to avoid the big guns until the semis and he's obviously a force to be reckoned with these days, so I'm happy to have a punt on him at 26.00. Re: April 13 - April 19 Back Francesca Schiavone to win WTA Bogota for a 2/10 stake at 11.00 with Bet365 Back Alexandra Panova to win WTA Bogota for a 1/10 stake at 41.00 with Bet365 A wide-open field in Bogota, Schiavone and Panova look like the value picks to me though for different reasons. I'd say avoid Svitolina in any case, 3.50 or so is way too low. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/wta-bogota-betting-it-s-logical-to-go-against-the-favorites-in-bogota-next-week

Re: April 13 - April 19 Back Fabio Fognini to beat Jerzy Janowicz for a 7/10 stake at 1.55 with BetVictor Happy to take Fognini here. He's actually been pretty good on clay so far in this season, while Janowicz has a 0-2 record (0-4 in terms of sets, against Anderson and Llodra) in Monte Carlo for obvious reasons. If he stays reasonably focused, he should be able to win this quite easily. Re: April 13 - April 19 Back Jeremy Chardy to beat Diego Sebastian Schwartzman for a 7/10 stake at 1.60 with BetVictor I'm breaking a rule here by backing a Houston player in Monte Carlo, but I don't rate Schwartzman highly these days and the odds are quite nice given the quality gap between the two, so I'm willing to give the Frenchman a go tomorrow. Re: April 13 - April 19 Back Florian Mayer to beat Marin Cilic for a 7/10 stake at 3.00 with Betway This is priced like a comeback match for Mayer, but it's actually a comeback match for Cilic, so the German looks overpriced to me here in all fairness. He beat Youzhny in two sets and that has to count for something, while the Croat hasn't played a singles match since Indian Wells. Re: April 13 - April 19 Back Joao Sousa (+4.5) to beat Milos Raonic for a 5/10 stake at 2.02 with Unibet Back Joao Sousa to beat Milos Raonic for a 2/10 stake at 5.20 with BetVictor First match for Raonic in Monte Carlo, could be a tough one as well I'd say. Sousa is much more competent now than he was back when the two last met and he looked just fine against ERV on Monday, so I can definitely see him doing some damage against the Canadian. Re: April 13 - April 19 Back Roberto Bautista-Agut to beat Philipp Kohlschreiber for a 7/10 stake at 1.67 with BetVictor Kohlschreiber was average on Monday, Bautista-Agut looked much better than him from what I've seen. Moreover, the German has been rather shaky since the start of the season, so I expect RBA to get his revenge for the Davis Cup loss tomorrow. Re: April 13 - April 19 Back Fabio Fognini to beat Grigor Dimitrov for a 7/10 stake at 2.38 with Unibet I trusted both guys in the first round, but Dimitrov was completely average against Verdasco, so I'll side with the Italian at odds against. He's definitely the better clay court player of the two right now, so his head is really the only thing I'm worried about. Re: April 13 - April 19 Time to step back into the fray after a bit of time off. I lost three points during Indian Wells and my season stats aren't looking too good so there's some work to do to turn things around. Sergiy Stakhovsky (+1.5 sets) to beat Tomas Berdych @ 3.110 Pinnacle Sergiy Stakhovsky (+5 games) to beat Tomas Berdych @ 2.200 Pinnacle Berdych should win this, but I thought he was poor against Murray in Miami and this is his first match on clay for a while which might help Stakhovsky. The Ukranian beat clay-courter Carreno-Busta in round one which is a decent result and he won a set against Berdych earlier in the year in Dubai, so all in all I think there is enough in these prices to back Stakhovsky. Philipp Kohlschreiber to beat Roberto Bautista Agut @ 2.270 Pinnacle Philipp Kohlschreiber (+1.5 games) to beat Roberto Bautista Agut @ 2.020 Pinnacle I think this could go either way, and as such Kohlschreiber is the player to be on at the prices. The German hasn't been in great form and he was patchy in his first round win over Kukushkin, but at the same time I think Bautista Agut's first round win is being overplayed given that Becker isn't the best on clay. Also, the Spaniard snapped a three-match losing streak against the German, so it's not as though he's been flying recently. Marcel Granollers (+1.5 sets) to beat Tommy Robredo @ 2.030 Pinnacle Marcel Granollers (+4 games) to beat Tommy Robredo @ 1.970 Pinnacle I don't disagree that Robredo deserves to be favourite here, but not this much of a favourite. I'd be surprised if he lost given the form that Granollers has been in, but it wouldn't surprise me to see three sets as Robredo has had his fair share of matches going the distance recently. Granollers should be feeling a lot better about his game after his convincing first round win against Mannarino, even though the Frenchman prefers hard and so I'll back him to follow that up with a good performance. Grigor Dimitrov to beat Fabio Fognini @ 1.666 Pinnacle Grigor Dimitrov (-2.5 games) to beat Fabio Fognini @ 1.917 Pinnacle For me, this match comes down to who I trust the most and on that basis I have to side with Dimitrov. I'd say the Bulgarian is more consistent than Fognini and his recent form is certainly better, and other than home advantage and playing on a surface that suits him I can't see anything that speaks in favour of the Italian here. Benoit Paire (+1.5 sets) to beat Gilles Simon @ 1.787 Pinnacle Benoit Paire (+3.5 games) to beat Gilles Simon @ 2.009 Pinnacle In an effort to get his game back to where it was a couple of years ago, Paire has dropped down to the Challengers in recent times and not surprisingly he's picked up plenty of wins which means his confidence should be high right now. He has a good record against his compatriot Simon which suggests there is something about the way he plays which Simon finds difficult to deal with, and so I like Paire's chances here. Jeremy Chardy (+1.5 sets) to beat Roger Federer @ 2.760 Pinnacle Jeremy Chardy (+5 games) to beat Roger Federer @ 1.900 Pinnacle Chardy has taken a set in all three previous meetings with Federer, including a win on clay in Rome a year ago. On that basis alone I think it's worth backing the Frenchman here, but the case becomes even more compelling for me when considering this is Federer's first match since Indian Wells and his first match on clay in some time. Chardy has done well enough this season and his win over Schwartzman in the first round should have given his confidence a boost, and so I think he can continue his run of good results against the Swiss number one. John Isner to beat Viktor Troicki @ 1.970 Pinnacle John Isner (+1.5 games) to beat Viktor Troicki @ 1.751 Pinnacle In recent years Isner has made the latter stages in Houston before making his way to this tournament, which could help to explain why he's sometimes been knocked out in the early rounds here. This year though he went out in the first round in Houston, and so he should be fresh enough to have a real go this week. I think these prices have to do with the idea that Isner can't play on clay, but actually his results on the surface aren't that bad. Obviously his serve isn't as effective which is why he prefers hard, but he'll still be difficult to break which Troicki could find frustrating and as I think Isner is the more consistent player I'm happy to be backing him. Alexandr Dolgopolov to beat Gael Monfils @ 2.300 Pinnacle Alexandr Dolgopolov (+2 games) to beat Gael Monfils @ 1.961 Pinnacle Dolgopolov impressed me more in the first round than Monfils did, and so I think there could be some value in backing the Ukrainian here. He did well to overcome the talented youngster Coric, and he nearly beat Djokovic in Miami recently which is an achievement in itself. Monfils laboured against Kuznetsov, which might be due to fitness issues which would not be a surprise as it was his first match since retiring against Berdych in Miami. I like Dolgopolov at the prices even if Monfils is fully fit, but if he isn't then Dolgopolov has even more of a chance of winning this. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga to beat David Goffin @ 1.952 Pinnacle Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (-1.5 games) to beat David Goffin @ 2.160 Pinnacle Tsonga on the comeback trail after injury, which is the reason for these prices as I think he would be shorter otherwise. I'm not all that concerned by his lack of recent matches, as he only narrowly lost to Monfils in Miami and he beat Struff in the first round here without too many problems and he looks fit enough to me. Goffin might well have the benefit of more matches so far this season, but his form hasn't been great and so I'm happier siding with the pedigree of Tsonga here.

Re: April 13 - April 19 Back Milos Raonic (-2.5) to beat Tommy Robredo for a 7/10 stake at 1.73 with Unibet Robredo has serious match-up problems against Raonic it seems, he crushed him here last year and he crushed him in Indian Wells a couple of weeks ago, this should be no different in my opinion. Re: April 13 - April 19 Back John Isner (+1.5 sets) to beat Rafael Nadal for a 5/10 stake at 2.75 with Betway Back John Isner to beat Rafael Nadal for a 2/10 stake at 7.00 with Betway Monte Carlo has been Nadal's hunting ground in the past, but I'm yet to see Nadal play his best tennis in this season, so I think that Isner could give him a good run for his money tomorrow. After all, he pushed him to five sets in the 2011 French Open, so why shouldn't he be able to trouble him now, when Nadal isn't playing all that well? Re: April 13 - April 19 Grigor Dimitrov (+1.5 sets) to beat Stan Wawrinka @ 1.641 Pinnacle Grigor Dimitrov (+3 games) to beat Stan Wawrinka @ 2.020 Pinnacle I'm still not sure about Wawrinka right now, despite his win over Monaco in his opening match. He seems to lack consistency at the moment, and although Dimitrov has also been stuttering somewhat this season I'm happier backing the Bulgarian. I don't think I'd make Wawrinka such a strong favourite here, so I'll back the player who I think is in a marginally better place with his tennis going into this match. John Isner (+1.5 sets) to beat Rafael Nadal @ 2.700 Pinnacle John Isner (+4 games) to beat Rafael Nadal @ 1.813 Pinnacle Based on these lines, the expectation is a straight sets win for Nadal with a break in each set. However, I think it could be closer than that as Isner has been playing well recently. Nadal still hasn't hit top gear this season and his win against Pouille in the first round didn't really tell us anything, so it's hard to say with confidence how well he will play here. In all honesty I can't see how Isner will win as the surface nullifies his serve so much, but if there's a tie-break he might be able to take a set and if there's two like his match against Troicki then the game line could come in. Gilles Simon (+1.5 sets) to beat David Ferrer @ 2.500 Pinnacle Gilles Simon (+5 games) to beat David Ferrer @ 1.980 Pinnacle Simon's bad record against Ferrer is probably the reason for these prices, as well as his collapse against the Spaniard in their recent match in Miami. However, I can't help but think that his chances are better than is implied. The Frenchman hasn't dropped a set so far in his two matches here, whilst Ferrer could be undercooked as he won his opening match of the tournament via retirement. I expect plenty of breaks in this one and although Ferrer is likely to be the winner, if Simon can do what he didn't do in Miami and play well for longer than a set then this could be close.

Re: April 13 - April 19 Back G.Monfils/G.Dimitrov - Over 22.5 games for a 7/10 stake at 1.80 with Paddy Power This could actually be quite similar to the Monfils-Dolgopolov match we saw a couple of days ago in many regards. I, for one, definitely expect a tight contest, so the overs look like the most logical choice to me.
