Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Season preview: 2pts ew Kolkata Knight Riders to win Indian Premier League 15/2 Bet365 (1/3 1-2) This isn’t a title that is easily defended. Only the Chennai Super Kings have defended it and that was four years ago but the Knight Riders will have a significant advantage if they get to the final because that final will be held at their home ground Eden Gardens. We know the Knight Riders know how to get the job done because they’ve won two of the last three renewals and in notoriously slow conditions at the Gardens the likes of Narine, Botha, Shakib et al should tie opposing batsmen down. Although Jacques Kallis is taking on just a mentoring role in this tournament the Knight Riders still have plenty of batting at their disposal and they look decent value to defend the title now that Narine has been confirmed as a runner. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Top Batsman/Bowler previews: 1pt ew S.Raina Top Tournament Batsman 16/1 Stan James (1/4 1-5) Suresh Raina is often a big feature of this tournament and he comes into this season off the back of a solid World Cup where he averaged over 50 in India’s run to the semi-final. Rarely is Raina outside the top 10 in the run scorers in this tournament even when the Super Kings don’t go all the way to the final but they look to have a leading chance this season and that should bode well for his chances. Raina is recently married so life is good for the left hander at the minute and I expect him to be heavily involved in the run scoring lists come the business end of this tournament. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/indian-premier-league-betting-suresh-raina-can-plough-out-more-ipl-runs 1pt ew I.Tahir Top Tournament Bowler 25/1 Paddy Power (1/5 1-5) Imran Tahir only played six matches for Delhi last season when it became apparent they needed a wicket taking bowler. He took nine wickets in those matches which was a good return, so much so that he is in Delhi for the whole season this year. Tahir comes into the tournament off the back of a successful World Cup where he took 15 wickets in conditions which didn’t really suit spin bowling and even at the very top level there aren’t many batsmen who can pick his googly let alone score off it. With the likes of Mohammed Shami and Zaheer Khan able to keep it tight and take wickets teams might need to attack Tahir more which is when he’s at his best and at 25/1 he should be a leading player when it comes to wicket taking in this tournament. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Match 1 preview: 4pts Kolkata Knight Riders to beat Mumbai Indians 4/5 Ladbrokes The Knight Riders have a wonderful home record which is no surprise because Eden Gardens has slow conditions which suits them perfectly. Shakib-al-Hasan is available for this match which is another boost. Mumbai’s form away from home in recent seasons has been pretty rotten so they are going to need to overcome that poor record if they are to be competitive here. I’m not convinced by them though and expect Kolkata to win this one. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Match 2 preview: 4pts Over 10.5 sixes 10/11 Ladbrokes It will be interesting to see how quickly the new look Daredevils settle down and gel. If they gel quickly they should go ok this season but there’s too many doubts to get involved in the match itself although there’s no doubt Delhi are value if they have gelled. Instead both sides have a number of big hitters and with fresh wickets in the opening week or two of the IPL I’m not expecting much in this Chennai track for the bowlers so the sixes should continue to flow here. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Match 3 preview: 4pts S.Smith's Performance Pts - 28&Over 5/6 Bet365 This ground in Pune used to be Steve Smith’s home ground back in his Pune Warriors days so he should feel more at home here than some and with the form he is in right now I expect him to have a big say on this match. He can score solidly with the bat and provide a platform for the big hitters to attack from and he’s a dynamite fielder as well as an occasional bowler so a performance line of 28 is well within his reach. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Match 4 preview: 3pts Sunrisers Hyderabad to beat Chennai Super Kings 9/5 Betfair The Delhi Daredevils could and maybe even should have beaten the Chennai Super Kings on Thursday and for my money the Sunrisers are a better side than Delhi so with that in mind the Hyderanad side could be the ones to be on here. Naturally Chennai will probably come on for the run but they struggled with the bat against Delhi and this Sunrisers attack won’t be an easy one to score off. At the prices I’ll chance the Sunrisers. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Match 5 preview: 4pts Over 13.5 sixes Evs Betfair This is going to be a high scoring match because Bangalore are so batting heavy. I expect the Knight Riders to win the match but the best bet could well be for there to be over 13.5 sixes. Eden Gardens saw 18 sixes in the opening match here even though it wasn’t the highest scoring game we’ll see in this tournament and with Bangalore bringing the firepower they are bringing with them it is hard to see there being many less than that. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Sunday previews: Match 6 preview: 4pts Delhi Daredevils to beat Rajasthan Royals 6/5 Ladbrokes Rajasthan were very impressive in their opening match and are probably rightful favourites here but Delhi looked much improved in running Chennai close in their first game and with the improvement with bat and ball that Angelo Mathews can provide I think they are worth chancing in this one. Home advantage can often be a big thing in the IPL especially early on in the tournament so at odds against Delhi are worth going with here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/delhi-daredevils-vs-rajasthan-royals-betting-delhi-can-enjoy-home-comforts 4pts Mumbai Indians to beat Kings XI Punjab 11/10 Betfred I can’t say I was overly impressed with the Mumbai Indians in their opening match but by the same token I wasn’t all that impressed by the Kings XI either. One thing that can’t be ignored in this match is Mumbai’s record on this ground and I don’t think that is a co-incidence because they are absolutely crazy for cricket in that part of the world. At the prices it is worth taking that home record to continue. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/mumbai-indians-vs-kings-xi-punjab-betting-mumbai-s-home-record-can-save-them

Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Monday preview: 4pts Bangalore vs Sunrisers - Over 14.5 sixes 5/6 Coral Unfortunately the forecast isn’t great for this match but if the rain does disappear then we’re sure to see sixes in this match. You only have to look at who is padding up to be able to tell that and on this small ground they don’t even need to be big hits to clear the ropes here. We’re taking a chance we get a full game in but if we do the sixes line looks too low here. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Tuesday preview: 4pts Rajasthan Royals to beat Mumbai Indians 20/21 Spreadex It is hard to go against the Royals here. Even when they looked beaten against the Delhi Daredevils in their last match they found a way to win and that is always the hallmark of a good side. Mumbai don’t look a settled side to me and they need a major overhaul soon if they are to sustain a competitiveness. At the minute they’re relying on an individual masterclass from somebody but I’ll take the team over the individual every time and that is Rajasthan here. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Wednesday preview: 2pts N.Coulter-Nile Top Delhi Bowler 7/2 Unibet Delhi are going to get a win sooner or later and quotes of 2/1 will look big on them when they do but I’m not completely convinced it will come here as conditions may not suit spin as much as other places. With that in mind though I think it could be worth taking one of their seamers over the spinners in the Delhi top bowler market. Both Sehwag and Saha attack the new ball so if Nathan Coulter Nile can get the ball to nip away they could be walking wickets. NCN will bowl at the end of the innings as well and at 7/2 he could be the value alternative to the spin duo. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Thursday preview: 4pts Sunrisers Hyderabad to beat Rajasthan Royals Evs Betfred Two good sides meet in this match but I fancy the Sunrisers to come through this one. Full credit has to go to Rajasthan for winning their opening three matches but I don’t think they’ve played a good side yet and there have been times where teams were on top of them. Take away Brendon McCullum’s blitz for Chennai against the Sunrisers and they have been as dominant as any side so far so they could be the value in this one. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Friday preview: 4pts C.Anderson's Performance Pts - 34&Over 5/6 Bet365 There haven’t been many successes for the Mumbai Indians this season but one success has been Corey Anderson. He has hit two 50s in three innings this season and comes into the tournament off the back of a good World Cup so he’s feeling good right now. His left arm seam can be tidy and take wickets so he’ll always be in the game and I fancy the Kiwi to cover a performance total of 34pts here. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Saturday previews: 4pts D.Warner Over 23.5 runs 17/20 Betway This should be a good match. I think both sides are evenly matched but the difference between the two could be Dave Warner. He used to play for Delhi so he’ll be out to get one over his former side and he looks in great form. He opened the tournament with two half centuries and he appeared to be on his way to a third against Rajasthan before he was bizarrely ran out but given the form he’s in I fancy him to make his way to 24 and beyond here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/sunrisers-hyderabad-vs-delhi-daredevils-betting-sunrisers-captain-can-lead-from-the-front 4pts Kolkata Knight Riders to beat Kings XI Punjab 11/10 Ladbrokes I like Kolkata here. They have the bowling attack to compete in any conditions and their batting line up is decent enough too. Gautam Gambhir looks in good form and with the ball Morne Morkel has started the season very well. Sunil Narine will improve game by game and if the likes of Yusuf Pathan and Suryakumar Yadav come to the party then the Knight Riders will look very good indeed. The Kings XI batting isn’t quite firing on all cylinders which gives the Knight Riders the edge for me. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Sunday early preview: 4pts Rajasthan Royals to beat Chennai Super Kings 13/8 Betfred These two should be full of confidence going into this match so that should make for a good game. There is a good case to be made for the Royals in this one. Often the better bowling attack wins the day in this format and they have that so if they can get rid of Brendon McCullum early on then they are going to have every chance of keeping their unbeaten record alive. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Sunday late preview: 4pts Bangalore vs Mumbai - Over 15.5 sixes 5/6 Coral Neither of these sides can bowl and both have tons of firepower with the bat so I am fully expecting a high scoring match here and one which should in theory contain plenty of sixes. With the likes of Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Darren Sammy, Rohit Sharma, Lendl Simmons, Corey Anderson and Kieron Pollard on show the ball is going to be flying to all parts throughout this game so even a high looking 15.5 sixes line may not be high enough. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Monday preview: 4pts Kolkata Knight Riders to beat Delhi Daredevils 7/10 Betway Kolkata are going along nicely at the minute and I suspect they have got plenty more to come yet too which will encourage them. Delhi shouldn’t be disrespected but their last two wins will have sides taking them more seriously which might not help them much. Kolkata look really strong with the bat and have enough match winners with the ball that they could well be tough to beat here. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Rajasthan VS Punjab Over 11.5 Total 6's @ 5/6 Stan James This match has the potential to be a belter, big hitting batsmen on both sides, I'd be hopeful of at least 12 maximums with the likes of Rahane, Watson, Hooda, Smith and Faulkner for the Royals and Sehwag, Saha, Bailey and the due Maxwell and Miller/Perera. RR are in form and batting well as they made a mockery chasing down CSK's 156, KXIP always go hard with the bat too.

Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Tuesday preview: 4pts Rajasthan Royals to beat Kings XI Punjab 10/11 William Hill The Kings XI’s attack has actually performed better than last season but it is going to need to perform here because they face a really deep, solid batting line up. Unlike last season though the Punjab batting just hasn’t fired at all. It will at some point. There are too many good players in it for it not to but until it does I can’t be backing them and certainly not against a side who are unbeaten. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Wednesday previews: 4pts Sunrisers vs Kolkata - Under 14 sixes 5/6 Bet365 The Knight Riders are worthy favourites for this match but they are plenty short enough it has to be said. One thing that isn’t short is the sixes line for this one and I fancy it might actually be a little too high. These two sides both have excellent bowling attacks and certainly from Kolkata’s point of view they are a side who just wins rather than go out to look flashy like a Kings XI or Bangalore. Sunrisers need any kind of win so the big hits might be shorter in supply than usual. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/sunrisers-hyderabad-vs-kolkata-knight-riders-betting-big-hits-may-be-infrequent-here 4pts Bangalore vs Chennai - 15 or more sixes 5/6 Bet365 I can’t see a match at Bangalore and not expect to see sixes and given the firepower on both sides here we should be seeing plenty of them. Bangalore’s batting credentials is there for all to see and no attack is safe if they get firing but the same can be said of the Chennai batting too so there simply has to be sixes in this one. There were 18 sixes in the last match here and can be at least 15 in this one. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Hyderabad VS Kolkata Under 14 total match 6's @ 5/6 Bet365 Both these sides have decent bowling attacks , Bhuvi Kumar, Steyn, Sharma aren't easy to get after, throw in the likes of Morkel, Yadav, Narine, Chawla for KKR and ball could dominate bat in this contest, hopefully the likes of Warner, Morgan, Russell, Pathan, RTD don't cut lose, ideally it'd be great if someone like Gambhir can bat at least 8-10 overs for his side!

Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Thursday preview: 4pts Delhi Daredevils to beat Mumbai Indians 23/20 Boylesports Mumbai’s bowling has been pretty abject in this tournament. Usually they rely heavily on Lasith Malinga for four tight overs but he’s been taken for at least 34 in their last four matches so they are needing to score a lot of runs with the bat to compensate for that. No side can keep on doing that and Delhi have a perfectly competitive bowling attack with their plethora of spin options. I have to say I’m not convinced by Mumbai still so I like Delhi here. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Friday preview: 4pts Rajasthan Royals to beat Royal Challengers Bangalore Evs Coral The Royals may have lost last time out but I think they are worth persevering with here. They played a bit of a shambles of a super over but up until then they were going really well in the tournament. Bangalore haven’t got started yet and they are so batting heavy that you do fear for them if they have to bat first. I’ve seen nothing to suggest Bangalore should be favourites here so I’ll take the home side. Re: Indian Premier League 2015 Saturday previews: 4pts Sunrisers Hyderabad to beat Mumbai Indians 23/20 Betway While I respect Mumbai’s excellent record in this stadium I’ve got to take them on at the odds here. Sunrisers have the better bowling attack and more importantly the bowling attack to expose this Mumbai middle order which seems to change more times than the weather and if they can deny Kieron Pollard going crazy with the bat then I really think they have most of the job done. If this does turn into a shootout then Sunrisers have the batting to cover that so they’re the call here. Full preview here: https://www.punterslounge.com/mumbai-indians-vs-sunrisers-hyderabad-betting-visitors-look-value-in-mumbai 4pts Kings XI Punjab to beat Chennai Super Kings 11/8 Spreadex Kings XI picked up a good win in their last match against the table topping Rajasthan Royals and I think they are decent value to pick up another here. These two famously met three times last season and all three were high scoring but the Kings XI won all three. Their bowling has improved this season so if their batting can take the form of the last match into this one then they can definitely pull off an upset here.
