Re: World Club Challenge Series - 20-22 Feb Game 1 preview: 4pts St George Illawarra to beat Warrington 11/5 Spreadex If the Dragons had already started their season and played a couple of competitive matches then you’ve got to think they would be strong favourites for this match but Australian sides arrive much earlier in England for these matches these days and this entire series has been talked up more than most of these World Club Challenge matches so I am expecting them to be well prepared. If they are then the half back pairing of Benji Marshall and Gareth Widdop give the Dragons every chance. Warrington might have the edge in the three quarters but the Dragon halves and pack can draw first blood to Australia. Re: World Club Challenge Series - 20-22 Feb Saturday preview: 4pts Wigan (-4) to beat Brisbane Evs Betfred If Brisbane were at full strength I would give them an outside chance and while I wouldn’t say they’ve got no chance here I do feel the injuries they have and Wigan’s competitive edge gives the Super League side a big advantage here. I’m not expecting an avalanche of points here. This is going to be a really defensive battle between two excellent defensive sides but when push comes to shove Wigan’s dynamic wingers and ball players can see them home. Re: World Club Challenge Series - 20-22 Feb Sunday preview: 4pts South Sydney (-4) to beat St Helens Evs Bet365 The one thing we’ve seen in the first two matches in this series is that even though the Australian sides haven’t played a competitive match they have mean defences and it needs something very special to break through it. St Helens will really need their attacking game to fire if they are to wear this defence down but the Rabbitohs have a lot of power to contain and over the course of the 80 minutes that power can lead to a clean sweep of the series for the NRL sides. Re: World Club Challenge Series - 20-22 Feb Well done with the picks this weekend, a decent 2 out of 3. Someone asked me to put a bet on the Aussie treble for them at best available odds and I followed for a fiver so currently cursing the Wigan comeback (or placing the bet in the 3-way market).
