Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game one preview: 4pts New Zealand vs Sri Lanka - Under 11.5 sixes 5/6 Coral Although I fancy a good batting wicket here I’m not so sure we’ll be seeing millions of sixes. New Zealand just walloped 331 in a warm up game against South Africa here and that only contained four sixes so this isn’t a ground where they flow. With Sri Lanka not being the biggest side when it comes to six hitting I’ve got to believe the 11.5 sixes line is one or two too high. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 2 preview: 4pts J.Buttler's Performance Pts - 35&Over 5/6 Bet365 One man who gets better and better every series he plays in an England shirt is Jos Buttler and I think he can have a good match here. The wicket should offer enough pace and bounce for him to get a catch or two and his batting has really come on. He’s no longer the man who can come in and splatter it to all parts at the end. He has matured into a man who can play all type of innings so his performance target of 35pts looks reachable here. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 3 preview: 4pts H.Masakadza Over 22.5 runs 5/6 Ladbrokes If Dale Steyn is injured that will help the Zimbabwe batsmen and one of them in particular impresses me every time I watch him and that is Hamilton Masakadza. He is given a runs line of 22.5 in this match which he covered on three occasions in the recent ODI series between the two last year. Steyn played in a couple of those matches too so he is clearly capable of scoring that. He banged in a ton in the win over Sri Lanka earlier in the week so he’s in good enough nick to suggest that line is perfectly within reach. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/south-africa-vs-zimbabwe-betting-hamilton-masakadza-can-shine-on-the-big-stage Game 4 preview: 4pts Pakistan to beat India 6/4 Skybet Even without those four players I fancy Pakistan to come through in this match. India have been in Australia for a while and have barely got better than awful at any stage and with the pace and bounce in this track which the likes of Mohammad Irfan and Wahab Riaz will be able to exploit I don’t see the Indian batsmen liking life. You can never truly rely on Pakistan with the bat but at least in Younis Khan and Misbah they have two hugely experienced players to bat around. Pakistan just look overpriced given how badly India have fared in Australia over the last three months. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 5 preview: 4pts Ireland vs West Indies - Over 8.5 sixes 8/11 Coral I really like the sixes here. This is a small ground and if the West Indies bat first then they could cover this 8.5 line on their own quite easily but Ireland have some big hitters of their own and the Windies bowlers aren’t always the most disciplined so could serve up some long hops. Even then Gayle will go big if the West Indies bat second so whichever way the toss works we should see at least nine sixes here. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 6 preview: 4pts M.Machan's Performance Pts - 21&Over 5/6 Bet365 We’ve already seen the minnows put up good fights in this tournament and while I expect Scotland to be beaten here I think they will put up a good show. They have a number of professional players in their ranks and it isn’t the teams like New Zealand they will struggle against, it is the teams with extreme pace or mystery spin. One of their players who should go well is Sussex’s Matt Machan. His performance target looks low at 21. He made 83 when these two met in an unofficial ODI a couple of months ago against a strong NZ attack but if he fails with the bat he’s a super fielder and bowls handy leg spin. This target looks well within his grasp. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/new-zealand-vs-scotland-betting-matt-machan-can-impress-in-scotland-s-tournament-bow

Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 7 preview: 3pts Afghanistan to beat Bangladesh 10/3 Bet365 These two met in the opening match of the T20 World Cup last year when Bangladesh humiliated Afghanistan but I always feel the longer format is easier for the lower sides because they don’t need to worry about pacing innings like in T20. When the two met in the Asia Cup Afghanistan prevailed and in these conditions and with the pressure all on Bangladesh to win I think there is enough value in taking this handy Afghan bowling attack to deliver the goods. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 8 preview: 4pts H.Masakadza Over 28.5 runs 5/6 Ladbrokes Hamilton Masakadza was the focus of my attention in Zimbabwe’s first match and he remains it here. In the match against South Africa he had a runs line of 22.5 which he covered by plenty with a confident and fluent 80. That was no fluke because this guy is a high quality batsman and I fully expect him to be in the runs again on this flat wicket against what could be a nervy attack. 28.5 doesn’t look high enough here. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 9 preview: 3pts England most 6s 2/1 Paddy Power A lot of the lines in this match look to be bang on but England look a little overpriced to hit the most sixes here. Sri Lanka sent down some real filth against New Zealand in their opening match and the Kiwis only hit four sixes and they didn’t hit a single one in a dire batting performance against Scotland where their intention looked to be to boost their run rate. England have hitters all the way down and if they can keep McCullum quiet they could well hit the most sixes. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 10 preview: 4pts Over 10.5 sixes 5/6 Spreadex This is probably the biggest of the New Zealand grounds being used in this tournament but it still isn’t big enough to contain the players on show in this match. It is a great wicket and neither bowling attack is going all that well so I am expecting to see plenty of big shots played. This traditionally isn’t a ground to rain sixes but with Gayle, Samuels, Simmons, Sammy, Russell, Afridi, Akmal et al on show and two short of confidence attacks I expect the bowling to go the distance here. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting No preview for game 11 as it sounds like Brisbane is underwater. Game 12 preview: 4pts Afghanistan (+7.5wickets/88.5runs) to beat Sri Lanka 5/6 Bet365 It would be a major shock if Sri Lanka lost this match but I haven’t seen anything from them in any of the warm up matches or indeed their opening match to suggest they will have it all their own way here. These two met in the Asia Cup last year when Afghanistan were done by the spin of Ajantha Mendis but that won’t happen here. The filth this Sri Lankan attack have sent down over the last month or so Afghanistan will score runs here and their attack is good enough to be competitive too so I fancy them to stay inside what is a large handicap line given the lack of confidence Sri Lanka must have. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 13 preview: 4pts Under 7.5 sixes 8/11 Stan James I keep on saying it but this is a massive ground. Well over 550 runs were scored in the Australia vs England game earlier in the tournament and yet there were only five sixes and I’m not expecting too many more here in truth. This South African attack doesn’t get carted very often and this India batting line up has been shown up by serious heat and bounce which they’ll face here. South Africa’s top three don’t go big too often so 7.5 sixes looks a line that is a touch too big in this one. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 14 preview: 4pts Scotland +6.5wickets/70.5runs to beat England 5/6 Bet365 England’s confidence must be in pieces right now and while they should still win this match I don’t think anyone can have much faith in them doing it easily. Scotland’s players have the advantage of playing against a number of this England side in domestic cricket so they won’t be overawed by their opponents and they will really fancy their chances here. I still think England will edge home here but it will only be edging home too so Scotland with the handicap looks the obvious call here. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting

I normally don't like to see people offering tips on their own teams etc so please take what I say with a pinch of salt. The 7/1 on Scotland looks far too big to turn down. Can I ask Kevshat why you aren't having some of the 7/1 as well as the handicap bet?
Sorry been out all day. Didn't take the 7/1 because I didn't think Scotland would win. The handicap was more than big enough to tempt me in though. Wouldn't have put anyone off the 7/1 as a value call but for me better value was in the handicap.

Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 15 preview: 4pts Over 15.5 wides 5/6 Coral One bet I’m beginning to like when the lesser nations are involved in this tournament are the wides. Zimbabwe are up there with the biggest offenders when it comes to inaccuracy with the ball. In their two matches in this tournament so far they have conceded 31 wides – 16 vs South Africa and 15 vs UAE so that makes the 15.5 line look a touch low particularly were the Windies to bat first as Zimbabwe’s bowlers will have to be so precise to avoid the tonking Pakistan got late on in the innings over the weekend. West Indies aren’t a great deal more disciplined so over 15.5 looks the way to go here. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 16 preview: 4pts P.Stirling's Performance Pts - 42&Over 5/6 Bet365 If Ireland bring in an extra seamer for this match then Paul Stirling’s off spin will take on extra importance and that added to his batting potential sets up the likelihood of him having a very big match here. His batting qualities were there for all to see in the first match and he’ll be aiming to take this attack to the cleaners but with potential for scoring with the ball and in the field too his performance target of 42 looks well in his reach. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 17 preview: 4pts J.Davey's Performance Pts - 31&Over 5/6 Bet365 Josh Davey has gone well for Scotland in this tournament. He has seven wickets from two matches and has shown potential with the bat too. His performance totals have made up scores of 71 and 89 in the event so far so he could be a leading player in this match. He goes well against Afghanistan too. He has scores of 64 and 53* against them, the latter being just last month and he also has figures of 5/9 and 6/28 against them too so there is something about him which Afghanistan struggle with. All of that leads me to thinking that his performance line looks very low at 31 here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/afghanistan-vs-scotland-betting-josh-davey-can-terrorise-the-afghans-once-again Game 18 preview: 4pts Under 5.5 sixes 5/6 Coral Sri Lanka might be a nervous side here with this being must win for them but I do expect them to win. Another thing I expect is to see a shortage of sixes. Both matches here so far have seen powerful batting line ups batting first and neither match have had more than five sixes despite over 300 being hit batting first both times. These two batting line ups aren’t so powerful and on these huge boundaries I’m not expecting many sixes. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 18 preview: 4pts Over 10.5 sixes 5/6 Coral We’ve seen the West Indies’ intent with the bat in this tournament already and these boundaries aren’t going to be big enough to contain them but with South Africa having players who can go big as well I think we’re going to see plenty of sixes in this match. These two played out a high scoring ODI series earlier in the year and I expect much more of the same in this match so I like the look of over 10.5 sixes in this one. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting South Africa look in all sorts of trouble for this game against the West Indies with the news that they are missing both Philander and Duminy for this match which gives them a massive headache. If they go with Abbott and Behardien it makes their batting lineup wafer thin. If they go one of those with Rossouw to beef up the batting they need to find 10 overs from somewhere. Wouldn't be taking odds on with South Africa in this match

Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 19 preview: 4pts Australia Over 6.5 sixes 5/6 Paddy Power This should be a cracking encounter between what looks like the two best sides in the tournament. They are certainly captained by the two best captains in the tournament. Most lines look about right in this match but one which doesn’t is the line for Australia’s sixes. They have an explosive batting line up which can clear boundaries a lot bigger than the ones they face here at will. Warner, Finch, Watson, Bailey, Maxwell and even Haddin and Johnson can all belt a long ball so the 6.5 sixes line looks low to me. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 20 preview: 4pts Over 8.5 sixes 10/11 Paddy Power As with a few games recently I think we’ll see some sixes in this match. This isn’t a big ground by Australian standards and the wicket always offers up the pace and bounce for batsmen to get after the ball. If India bat first they could easily send in double figures for sixes but even if they bat second they have enough arrogance and aggression at the top of their innings to hit plenty. UAE have nothing to lose and this Indian attack isn’t suited to this ground and still serves up a number of pies anyway so I’m expecting at least nine sixes. Re: ICC World Cup 2015 - Match betting Game 22 preview: 4pts England to beat Sri Lanka 11/10 Betfair This should be a good match but in these conditions England really should feel they have every chance in this match. Sri Lanka’s bowlers aren’t likely to outbowl England’s in these conditions and England’s batsmen should be more competent against the moving ball so at odds against I think England are well worth backing here. There is no Tim Southee in this Sri Lankan side and there isn’t a Brendon McCullum either so if England play like they can this is theirs for the taking. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/england-vs-sri-lanka-betting-england-look-a-touch-of-value-in-wellington Game 23 preview: 5pts Over 15.5 wides 5/6 Spreadex These two are so unpredictable anything could happen in this match but one thing I am fairly confident of predicting is that we are going to see plenty of wides sent down. Zimbabwe now have wides totals of 16, 15 and 16 in this tournament so far while Pakistan bowled 14 in their defeat to the West Indies in their last match so these are serial offenders when it comes to wides and the 15.5 line for the wides looks far too low here.
