Re: Nap of the Day - Saturday February 7th Newb 2.25 - Coneygree - win at 7/2 bog bet365 3M grade 2 chase My selection is still a novice chaser and generally you're not going to get rich backing novices against seasoned campaigners However my horse is 8yo so is not a 'baby novice'...........he's just had some time out and come to chasing rather late. He's won at grade 1 and three times at grade 2 levels so he right up there in class terms and is a course winner who acts on the ground and gets the trip - no concern about the conditions Houblon des Obeaux has done his winning in handicaps after graduating from novice company. generally well beaten in grade races Unioniste looks a big danger.......he's also mainly run in handicaps though he did win a Listed chase in 2013. Again lately he's tended to be well held in grade races. This looks a minimum distance for him, he looks an out and out stayer Taquin de seuil has been relatively poor this season but Jonjo's horses are now hitting form and he was a grade 1 winning novice........could be the dark horse here with AP up

Re: Nap of the Day - Saturday February 7th Newbury 3:35: Fascino Rustico @ 16/1 bet365 Fascino Rustico........from Dan Skelton yard the 7yo has only had the two races this year at Bangor-on-dee 2m 1f soft and Newcastle 2m soft winning both Novices' Hurdle races by 6 lengths and 9 lengths with both race in drew clear in run in , With those two races coming last month the yard see it going into a main handicap with the older horses that's got much more experience and only 10 rest since last race , He also carries a 5lb penalty for that last win with Harry Skelton keeping the ride with horse having the hood and tongue strap on So we'll see if the yards got a Cheltenham prospect here today

Re: Nap of the Day - Saturday February 7th 3.35 new ballybolley @ 20/1 365 this team won this race last yr and this one has a similar profile. Light weight on soft ground and will surely be flying down the straight when they have cried enough. They will go a very fast pace which should suit.

Re: Nap of the Day - Saturday February 7th 14.25 Newbury: Denman Chase (Grade 2) - Harry Tropper: Won this race in heavy conditions last year. Only seen twice since then and both times pulled up. This is easier than latest Betfair Chase. Ground should suit and perfect track record. - Unioniste: Course and distance winner. Back to form when clear winner of Handicap at Sandown last month. CP fitted 1st time. - Double Ross: Pulled up in King George, all wins came over shorter, has been placed over 3m in the past though. Still stamina to prove to be capable to win Grade 2 over this trip, - Houblon De Obeaux: Runner-up last two, finds it hard to win these days. Trip and ground fine but slightly below level normally required to win this. - Coneygree: Unexposed and still lightly raced. Smart hurdler who took very well to fences, won last two in Novice company in Grade 2 & 1 level. Track & trip should suit, - Taquin Du Seuil: Pulled up in King Gorge. Fine runner-up behind Menorah in the Charlie Hall. Bit of a break may have done him no harm. Trip in soft ground conditions slight worry. Verdict: If Taquin Du Seuil gets his jumping together and has no problem with the soft ground over the 3m today, he'll be a big runner. Houblon De Obeaux as the Hennessy runner-up must be rated a good chance as well. He is in fine form and this race looks one where he could finally win on this high level since leaving the novice ranks. Harry Tropper won this race last year but it's hard to know what to expect from him today. I don't think Unioniste is good enough, neither should be Double Ross. But the lightly raced Coneygree makes plenty of appeal, now going outside Novice company for the first time. He was a smart hurdler and has excelled over the big fences in two career starts so far, most impressively landing the Kauto Star Chase. It would be only appropriate if he'd win subsequently the Denman Chase. He could be anything, but potentially has a good deal of improvement left, and neither trip nor ground conditions should pose a problem for him. Coneygree @ 7/2 Bet365

21:15 Moulin Rouge 1pt win 7/2 BetVictor Course and Distance winner and only 4lbs higher than his last winning mark. Moulin Rouge has been running well as a new acquisition for the Williams yard and looks a decent bet.
8.45 Wolverhampton - ThrtyPointsToThree win @ 6/1 Bet365 I napped ThrtyPointsToThree last time out and he ran well enough to finish 3rd behind Cabal over C&D. The time before that he was 3rd behind one of todays rivals Tukitinyasok who finished second. He was only a neck behind and I feel these two are both closely matched on the same marks as when they last met. One thing that might swing it in ThrtyPointsToThree's favour is the fact that he is getting 4lb extra off this time with his jockey's claim whereas Tukitinyasok is only getting an extra 2lb off this time. The jockey Aaron Jones looks to be well worth his claim and has been in good form recently. Along with Tukitinyasok, Lord Of The Strom looks a danger after his recent 3rd in a stronger race but he is 10lbs higher than his last winning mark and may need a bit of help from the handicapper before winning again.
Wolverhampton 7.45 Greys Angel If non runner Naas 3.05 Strongpoint
8.45 Wolverhampton Lord Of The Storm please. Thanks.
Wolves 8:15 APPARATCHIKA - 11/8 betfair
