Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Saturday TV preview: 5pts Leeds to beat Catalans 8/11 Ladbrokes Usually I wouldn’t go near a side away to the Dragons are such skinny odds but I do think Leeds are good things here. The Dragons have conceded no fewer than 123 points in their last three matches and with a number of potent attacking players out they are set to struggle here. Leeds can take top defences to the cleaners let alone struggling ones and so the Rhinos should win this by a fair margin. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Thursday TV preview: 4pts Hull KR to beat Hull FC 6/5 Betfred I usually like backing Hull KR in this derby because I think they thrive on being the smaller of the city sides but I’m not so sure they are that anymore. I think they’ve overtaken their neighbours in terms of stability so it will be interesting to see how the psychology of this one plays out. I’m still not convinced by Hull FC though and if Chris Chester can get his overseas recruits to understand what this derby means I think KR have the quality to get this job done. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Friday TV previews: 4pts Castleford (+8) to beat Leeds Evs Bet365 I think Leeds will probably have just too much for the Tigers in this one but their preparation has to have been affected. There will have been a lot of media attention around them after Sinfield’s announcement and playing in France on Saturday is less than ideal too so although I expect it to be in defeat I do believe Castleford have it in them, especially with home advantage, to remain within 8pts here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/castleford-vs-leeds-betting-castleford-can-put-the-start-to-good-use 4pts St Helens to beat Wigan 6/5 Bet365 This is sure to be a fiery encounter. All matches between these two are fiercely contested as we saw in the Grand Final last year and the fact this is their first meeting since then is sure to have the emotions and the passions running high. St Helens will have to weather a storm early on in front of a packed out crowd but they are top of the table and going well despite last week’s defeat and in the end I expect them to have too much for their rivals here. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Monday early TV preview: 4pts Warrington (-12) to beat Castleford 10/11 Bet365 This is a tricky match to call. If all things were equal then in their current form it would be hard to fancy Warrington but all things aren’t equal because Warrington played the night before Castleford in the opening round of Easter matches and played in far less taxing conditions. Although the Wolves are missing a couple of key men they do have plenty of potency in their side and the creativity to put the Tigers to the sword when they inevitably tire late in the game. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Monday late game preview: 3pts Catalans (-22) to beat Widnes 10/11 Spreadex Even with their defensive record this season I would be surprised if the Catalans don’t win this match the question is how many they will win it by. Normally I wouldn’t even look twice at such a high handicap in the second of the Easter matches but with Widnes resting key players and the Dragons having been on easy street at Wakefield I like the idea of them winning by plenty more than I normally would. The French side need to build on Thursday’s win so won’t lack motivation and they can cover the big handicap here. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Friday TV preview: 4pts Widnes (+6) to beat Hull FC Evs BetVictor Given that their ball players are likely to be a little fresher than Hull FC’s ones I like the idea of Widnes at least being competitive here. The visitors are getting a six point start with most bookmakers which is enough for me. They haven’t picked up a point on the road yet this season but injuries haven’t helped and they’ve been to some tough places. This isn’t one of them so I fancy Widnes to at least stay within six here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/hull-fc-vs-widnes-betting-widnes-can-be-competitive-at-the-kc

Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Saturday TV preview: 4pts Hull KR to beat Castleford 11/10 Paddy Power I’ve seen Hull KR a few times this season and I have to say their half back pairing really impresses me and with enough mite in the forwards and some excellent backs I wouldn’t be surprised to see Hull KR really challenging later in the season. Castleford’s small squad will always be tested by injuries to key players and Luke Dorn is definitely one of them so that is enough of a blow to give me confidence in Hull KR here. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Thursday TV preview: 4pts Wigan (-4) to beat Warrington 5/6 Coral Usually this would be a heavyweight contest but I’m not sure Warrington are in top form at the minute and although Wigan haven’t been as dominant as in previous seasons the DW is still a hard place to go. Warrington have lost their last four against Wigan and I suspect they are going to lose this one too. I don’t think the Wolves are tip top in attack despite last week’s demolition of Wakefield and Wigan’s defence is probably stronger so that should lead to Wigan being a score or two better. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Friday TV preview: 3pts Leeds to beat St Helens 17/10 Bet365 St Helens will be a stronger proposition than they were over Easter now that they have some recognised half backs coming back from injury but this Leeds side have some real momentum with them and a very strong defence and that can serve them well for this match. Leeds have the pack to stand up to St Helens and the ball players and with the power the likes of Hardaker, Watkins and Moon provide they can edge to an important win here. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Thursday TV preview: 4pts Wigan (-24) to beat Wakefield Evs Spreadex Everything we’ve seen in Super League over the last month or two suggests this will be all one way traffic. The question is how many Wigan will win by. Wigan were playing in Super League on Thursday last week whereas Wakefield had to wait until Friday before they played their cup game and while they were on easy street in that cup game it still isn’t ideal so I’m expecting another emphatic Warriors win here. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Friday preview: 4pts Leeds (-6) to beat Warrington 19/20 Spreadex Leeds have looked unstoppable in recent weeks and I expect them to come through this with a bit to spare as well. Warrington aren’t firing on all cylinders at the minute and this Leeds side are hard to contain when you’re not playing well as St Helens found out last week. Throw in the record Leeds have on this ground and I fully expect another home win and one which covers six points. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Saturday TV preview: 4pts Hull KR (+10) to beat Catalans Evs Bet365 There will be points scored in this match because neither have been the best defensively this season but I fancy Hull KR to stay within single figures of their opponents here. Already Salford have scored 40pts in France this season and Leeds put up 38 there. Hull KR stuck 50 on the Catalans are Craven Park so there is enough to suggest the visitors will score enough points to cover the handicap if not more. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Thursday TV preview: 4pts Huddersfield (+6) to beat Leeds 10/11 William Hill Leeds have looked awesome at times in recent weeks but they were exposed by Warrington last week and this Huddersfield side opened them up a few times at Headingley earlier in the season. Huddersfield are starting to really build a solid run of form up and they have a good record against Leeds on this ground in recent seasons and I think they are showing the sort of confidence that can see them challenge the Rhinos if not actually beat them. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Friday TV preview: 4pts Hull KR (+16) to beat Wigan Evs Bet365 I expect Wigan to come out too good in the end in this match but they have a few injuries and that can keep Hull KR interested. Hull KR have scored points all season so that leads me to think they will be competitive here. Campese and Kelly can lead them around the pitch while the likes of McCarthy and Tilse can get them up the field so there’s enough to like about the Robins to believe they’ll stay within 16pts here. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Horrible last week. Hopefully put it right this week. Thursday TV preview: 4pts Hull KR (-14) to beat Wakefield 10/11 Betfred Hull KR were so bad last week they were rancid but they have the ideal opponent to put things right against. Wakefield look massively out of their depth at this level this season and I’m not sure much is going to change on that front here. In Tim Smith they have a playmaker who can stand the test of any side in the competition but as is always the case he can’t do it on his own and in many ways that is Wakefield’s problem along with their leaky defence. One thing Hull KR do know is the way to the try line and I’m expecting them to be fired up to put things right from last week. Their chairman has offered fans a free ticket to their Challenge Cup tie so he isn’t happy with that performance last week and it could well be that Wakefield are the ones to feel the full force of the rebound here. I’m on Hull KR to win and cover the handicap. Full preview here: https://www.punterslounge.com/hull-kr-vs-wakefield-betting-struggling-sides-look-for-a-boost-to-their-season

Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Friday preview: 4pts Huddersfield (-8) to beat Salford 5/6 Spreadex The competitive side of me is really looking forward to this match. I like Rugby League when it is played hard and slightly on the edge and this one is sure to be that. I’m not sure getting Huddersfield’s backs up is going to end well for the Salford side and them not having Rangi Chase very much hampers them. We know Salford are still struggling with a few injuries. Huddersfield aren’t. They’re in good form and they are clearly going to be fired up to go out and win this match and win it well so I’m happy to take the visitors not just to win but to cover a modest looking eight point handicap. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Saturday preview: 4pts Catalans to beat St Helens 5/4 Stan James This should be a good match and I’m interested that St Helens are the favourites for it. I say that because they have lost their last three away matches and France is never an easy place to go. Catalans are much more comfortable at home and they gave Saints a scare away from home earlier in the season. Todd Carney being back is huge for the home side and that will give them a nice boost so at odds against I do think Catalans are the bet here. Saints have shown more of a vulnerability about them in the last few weeks and Catalans can exploit that and run out winners for what they will hope will act as a kick start to their season. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Thursday preview: 4pts Huddersfield (-4) to beat Castleford 10/11 Bet365 Castleford are a hard side to beat at home but you didn’t have to be a body language reader to see what Paul Anderson thought of his side’s performance last weekend and I’m sure he’ll have been on at them all week to ensure he doesn’t get a repeat here. Initially I was going to side with Castleford in this match but their injuries have changed all that. They are playing here off a short week anyway so missing key players too really doesn’t help them. Huddersfield still have the odd shocker in them from time to time but they’ve already been too good for Castleford once this season and can be again here. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Friday TV preview: 4pts Warrington (-8) to beat Salford 10/11 BetVictor Warrington aren’t firing on all cylinders and there are a few issues for them to overcome but even though Salford had last week off I think the Red Devils match up well for Warrington. I think Warrington can get on top in the forward battle and with all the backs that Salford have missing you would expect Warrington to be too good in that area of the field too so all in all even though they haven’t been fantastic this season I expect Warrington to have too much here. Re: First Utility Super League 2015 Saturday TV preview: 3pts Catalans to beat Wigan 7/5 Paddy Power This is a match to look forward to. For me it is the match of the weekend and it will be interesting to see how Wigan go about it. Shaun Wane said a few things in the build up to this match trying to raise attention to the influence the home crowds have on referees and how the pace of the game is more relaxed in France and it could be that he is worried his side won’t be able to cope with that or he could just be trying to fire his players up. I think they’ll need firing up though because there are just a few signs that the Dragons are just warming to the task this season now that they have most of their top players back. They’re the value in this match. Full preview here: https://www.punterslounge.com/catalans-dragons-vs-wigan-betting-two-top-quality-sides-meet-in-the-match-of-the-weekend
