Re: Betway Premier League Darts 2015 - Outright bets Not to qualify for semi-finals - Phil Taylor @ 11/4. Tiny stake. Whether Taylor's game has dropped or the standard around him has risen, he's no longer the sole dominant force in darts that he once was. It took him until the final week to claw into the play-offs of the 2014 competition, but with this year's edition being widely billed as the most competitive ever, he might just not make it this time. Of course, Taylor is still comfortably one of the best 4 players in the comp and I do expect him to qualify, but the 11/4 on not doing so is just a shade too long to my mind. Interestingly, Taylor doesn't have a winning tv record against the other 9 men in the field over the last 12 months with 11 wins, 4 draws and 11 losses.

Re: Betway Premier League Darts 2015 - Outright bets Tournament preview: 1pt ew R.Barneveld to win Premier League Darts 28/1 Betway (1/3 1-2) Raymond Barneveld is the defending champion in this tournament and at 28/1 he looks a huge price to defend the title. His last two TV tournaments have seen him as a semi-finalist in the World Championship and a finalist in The Masters. In The Masters at the weekend he was right with van Gerwen until the Green Machine hit a purple patch nobody could keep up with to pull away. Barneveld spoke with real assertion about how happy he is with his game at the minute which is very rare and something I took big notice of. Looking at his game he is hitting a lot more 180s again and scoring much more powerfully while his finishing is very strong. There is at least one top four spot up for grabs this season if not two and if Barney can get into one of them the 28/1 on him winning the title will look massive given that he has shown he can inspire himself to bring his best game out at the o2. Re: Betway Premier League Darts 2015 - Outright bets Bottom two preview: 2pts J.Wade Bottom Two finish 9/2 Skybet One man who could be a little spot of value is James Wade. Wade shot back to the big time in that crazy final of The Masters last year where he had played stellar darts up until then. He looked done for in the final but Mervyn King couldn’t put him away but I just wonder how much he has been overrated on that comeback. Since then he has lost to Stephen Bunting in the last 16 of the Grand Slam having snuck through his group, to Jelle Klaasen in the Players Championship finals first round, to Bunting again in the second round of the World Championship and to Anderson in The Masters quarter final just last weekend. While the last two defeats aren’t calamitous there has been a recurring theme in that he doesn’t have the scoring power to live up to those players and he has started missing a lot of doubles. Since the Grand Slam he hasn’t had a 40% checkout percentage in a TV match and if that trend continues in this company Wade’s return to the Premier League could be over a lot earlier than he would like. Re: Betway Premier League Darts 2015 - Outright bets Most 180s preview: 3pts G.Anderson Most 180s 5/2 Betfred In my eyes the three best bets for this market would be van Gerwen, Anderson and Barneveld and with van Gerwen a constant switcher and likely to have some one sided matches it is Anderson I am taking here. He hit an insane amount of 180s in the World Championship and followed that up with a lot more at the weekend. His scoring has gone from strength to strength again and you now think he isn’t going to miss the treble 20 when he gets going. Given that he doesn’t switch unless a dart is laying at a weird angle he’s the one to be with this season.
