Adelaide have done brilliantly in this tournament so far but the one thing they’ve never really had is batting depth but thus far their top order haven’t failed them. With a couple of big players missing from that line up here though this could be the time they struggle with the bat against a solid looking Renegades attack so that gives me confidence in the home side here, even more so when we factor in they have to win. Was surprised to see them as outsiders given how well they have done even though they had already qualified. Not exactly a cricket expert but it doesn't seem to me to be like football where a rest would do you good and the confidence of another top performance would be more beneficial. Instead I’ll go with the trusted under in the sixes. Both these sides have great bowling attacks and neither are massively deep with the bat. The boundaries here are huge as well all know so I like under 8.5 sixes in this one. One thing which does look a good thing is the Sixers to hit the most sixes. The Thunder have only hit 25 sixes in their seven matches so far and 14 of those came in their opening match so they’re not even averaging two a game since. The Sixers have hit six, three and five in their matches here and now that Jordan Silk has learnt how to clear the ropes their stronger all round side should see them to the most sixes. He hit 67 from 34 when these sides met last week and launched that stunning run chase against the Thunder on Thursday night. He is now the Sixers’ top batsman for the season and the dimensions of this ground should really suit him. With scores of 67 and 69 in his last two matches he looks huge at 6/1. The Scorchers are 3 from 3 at this stage of the tournament while the Stars are 0/3. That big game winning knowhow can be the difference in this one. I’m already on the Sixers outright which I will let ride here but one thing I don’t see this final being is full of big hitting and heavy scoring. Boundaries are big at Manuka Oval and both these bowling attacks are real so under 10.5 sixes could be the best bet in this competitive final.
