Re: UEFA Youth League 2014/2015 I didn't expect that the odds on Shakhtar would raise, especially after the miss of Leya Iseka and Kawaya. People are focussing too much on the previous results and don't know how strong each team really is (I doubt many bettors can). I also don't know much about Shakthar, but a team who reached the semi-finals can't be that bad. And an odd of 5,2 (Marathon) is definitely worth a try. Youngsters are often very unpredictable. edit: the head coach changed opinion and let those 2 fly to Nyon. They will return for the match against Standard on Sunday..

Chelsea have been the stand-out team in the competition so far, but odds of over 7.0 on Shakhtar are too long and worth taking I think. I am pretty sure one reason I have done well on this is because it is an under-researched market. So it is a little bit easier to find an 'edge', and to find odds that might be wrong. It's a pattern I've noticed in general with my bets over the years.

Re: UEFA Youth League 2014/2015 I know what you mean, though it's something that I generally observe with close season International Youth or Women's tournaments, particularly in years where there's no World Cup or Euros. On the one hand, there's not much else to distract me and, on the other, there's more chance of there being wrong prices. Or, looked at another way, during the season I'm guilty of being distracted by the things the bookies want me to bet on!
