Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th Has someone seen PAOK play? I'm surprised by the high odds on them. They're leading the greek league. I'm french and I can tell that Guingamp on the road is quite a mess. Greek sides are notorious to take advantage from home factor, with warm noisy public etc. Guingamp has one of the lowest budget in french league, with few competitive players that have played on Week-End and midweek during two full weeks, it will be their 6th game in 19 days...

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th 4pts Tottenham (+0.5AH) to beat Besiktas 1.80 Winner Sports Besiktas are in a position to win this group which is surprising really because they haven’t ever really convinced in the competition so far. Tottenham haven’t been fantastic in the group either but they have done enough to get their noses in front and I think they will be hard to beat in this game. They have the advantage of not needing to win and they have enough players capable of playing on the break so I’ll take Spurs to get a result of some kind to win the group. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/besiktas-vs-tottenham-betting-tottenham-can-get-the-result-they-need-to-top-the-group 3pts Celtic (+0.25AH) to beat Dinamo Zagreb 2.09 BetVictor Zagreb’s fall from grace in this group has been fitting of a side who have been out of their depth in it and if Celtic have the motivation in them to win this match then I don’t see there being a lot that is going to stop them but the motivation question is key really. Given that we don’t know about their motivation I’ll err on the side of caution and take them on an Asian line which gives us draw protection. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/dinamo-zagreb-vs-celtic-betting-celtic-can-finish-their-group-with-a-positive-result 4pts Everton to beat Krasnodar 10/11 Skybet Everton have drifted to a backable price here I believe. I know they are going to make wholesale changes but they made a few changes in Russia and still came out with a draw so on home turf they should have enough about them to win this match, especially with a few of those who will come in having a point to prove having been out injured and will be wanting their first team place back. Krasnodar are nothing special so Everton can win this. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/everton-vs-kuban-krasnodar-betting-everton-can-end-the-group-with-a-win

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th Standard Liege hosting Feyenoord. Normally I would stay away from this game especially when both teams needed a result but now it's a totally different story. Feyenoord will go all out. Best line-up will start their coach stated yesterday in an interview. Money is always welcome and the 200k for a win is a real goal for them. They are on a great run and their win over Sevilla was intens. They will go for the win 100%. They are in a totally different situation than the other two away games so comparing is those results is not wisely here. 2.35 for an away win sounds great to me for a highly motivated side. Luik are ofcourse no push-overs but I don't think their minds are on this game. they play against Brugge this weekend and that one is far more important now. Feyenoord finnaly starting to score goals and Boetius is close to his old form. The team is also pretty competing no big class differences so every player wants to proof himself and the atmosphere is great within the club. All points to a solid performance of Feyenoord. Normally I would be carefull with teams who are already qualified but there is absolutely no way Feyenoord will give this game away. Topping this group would be a real achievement and they don't want Luik to ruin their positive run. Medium stakes for me on the away win and Feyenoord over 1.5 goals also medium stakes! Good luck.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th Two very important players; Atiba and Demba Ba are definitely out for Besiktas. Adding to this, Besiktas haven't been playing on their own ground. And their success hasn't been good enough there. The crowd will not be as usual because of the stadium and I'm not expecting a similar situation as in the past Tottenham game several years ago when the Carsi broke the decibel record. As far as I got information from the club's news website, almost 8000 tickets sold so far. These might be helpful for some of you i guess. Take into consideration

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th Roberto Martinez has hinted at the majority of his starting line-up to face Krasnodar on Thursday. At his pre-match press conference at Finch Farm on Thursday, the Blues boss named nine players before adding 'some exciting youngsters' will make up the XI. "It's a game that is a celebration," Martinez told the media. "With one game to go we are top of the group and Krasnodar have no opportunity to go through. That allows us to experiment with the line-up without devaluing the competition. "Joel Robles will play in goal and we're going to have Christian Atsu, Steven Pienaar, Arouna Kone, Bryan Oviedo, Conor McAleny, Antolin Alcaraz,Tyias Browning and Luke Garbutt playing because they have been working extremely well. "And then we're going to have a couple of youngsters that are really, really exciting. I don't want to mention their names just yet. It's exciting for us as a Club to show another two diamonds of our development system to show the good work being done in a fantastic environment. "It's a really exciting game that I'm sure every Evertonian is looking forward to. We'll feel extremely proud of the individuals on the pitch." http://www.evertonfc.com/news/2014/12/10/seven-to-start

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th This is the list for Inter which travel to Qarabag

- Portieri: 30 Carrizo, 46 Berni, 95 Costa. Difensori: 6 Andreolli, 14 Campagnaro, 15 Vidic, 25 Mbaye, 33 D'Ambrosio, 54 Donkor, 94 Yao, 24 Sciacca, 93 Dimarco. Centrocampisti: 20 Obi, 44 Krhin, 90 M'Vila, 96 Palazzi. Attaccanti: 7 Osvaldo, 97 Bonazzoli, 92 Baldini.
After that, Vidic don't travel due to ill, Mancini called 8 players from young team (Primavera) odd on Qarabag is going down rapidly, I take 2.45 yesterday, now 2.2 is available, I think tomorrow it will be lower then 2 Inter squad is focused on match against Chievo on Monday, this match is a problem for them, and Mancini choose a lot of young players, maybe Osvaldo will play upfront, but I think not the whole 90 minutes, young Bonazzoli will start Midfield should be Mvila and Obi Defence with Andreolli, Campagnaro, and D'Ambrosio, Carizo will play as goalkeeper, So I think at least 4 young players will start Inter is already 1st in the group, Qarabag needs a win here

Yea, I was looking at this one. Only concern for me is that PAOK are four clear of the Greek league, and I imagine that's where their head truly is at the moment. Any Greek punters care to share any info?

Qarabag don't need to win, do they? If the other game ends in a draw, they go through with a draw. That's of-fputting. Side like Qarabag + playing cautiously = recipe for disaster.

My figures show the two sides have similar shots on target stats in this group, but clearly Feyenoord have been the better side.

I don't really know the Greek league, although I saw PAOK online a few times last season, and was pretty impressed. They are normally strong at home - a bit like Olympiakos. But Guingamp have better shots on target stats than PAOK in the group games, which indicates they might be some value at odds of over 5.0. No bet from me though :)

Wouldn't you agree the biggest factor in this match is motivation? Feyenoord need to protect 1st position from Sevilla who are likely to beat the Croatians whereas Liege are already dead.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th Since I mostly bet on goals, I will avoid this matches as a plague. The europa league in general is low scoring, to add to that, the last games of most leagues are very tricky given that many teams are not motivated as a result of having already qualified or failed to qualify

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th "According to a Belgian newspaper, they take the league match against leaders Club Brugge much more seriously, and manager Ivan Vukomanovi? will give youngsters and players who haven’t played recently a chance. Arslanagic (12/0) , Marquet (3/0), Vinicius (3/0) are out while Geoffrey Mujangi Bia (14/6), Igor de Camargo (16/7, top-scorer), Paul-José M'Poku (16/4), Jelle van Damme (13/2), Adrien Trebel (11/0), Jeff Louis (14/2) going to be rested." Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th BESIKTAS – TOTTENHAM Draw at 3.50 @ Marathonbet The qualification at Top-32 is “locked” for both teams and what both want at this fixture is the 1st place of the group. Tottenham is satisfied even with a draw, whereas Besiktas needs only the win. The two opponents will play with a lot of absences, with that of Demba Ba being the most important for the home side. In fact, both remain unbeaten at the first five games of the group stage (2-3-0 the series for Besiktas, 3-2-0 the series for Tottenham). I end up at the draw because Tottenham needs to “cover” its modest performances at Premier League (10th at the table) with a good European route.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th Yes, confirmed. Standard likely to rest a lot of regulars and give a couple fringe players from under 19 a chance. Feyenoord only without El ahmadi and Nelom who are suspended if they would recieve a yellow card so they will be rested. Fey has enough good replacements and I fancy them to win. 2.35 was a great price odds are dropping rapidly now. Likely score 1-2! Goodluck

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th Feyenoord are notoriously poor travellers though aren't they? Lost virtually every European game they have played away in the last couple of years. Looking at both CL and EL since 2012 they have lost 6 of the last 7 drawing the other! Appreciate the team news looks good on paper but since the odds have dropped I don't see much in it. Backing a Dutch team away anywhere is a highly risky play, if they were at home it would be a very solid bet.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th Totally agree Hastgill, indeed dutch teams are poor travellers in the laat decade in europe. But, Feyenoord is a totally different team now. They were in a financial crisis for more than 5 years which affected their results and squad heavily. Now, many youngsters from their own academy who is one of the best in Europe gained a lot of experience in the laat couple of years. Atleast 1400 dutch fans are expected in Belgium maybe more. Feyenoord is finally back where they belong. There are many factors favoring them tonight. I agree the odds are poor now but anything above 2.20 was pure value imo. They will take this game very serious. Goodluck boys!

I think both shots on target and motivation are factors. I would have thought Standard would be motivated to win their last home game.

But the UEFA match background piece doesn't make comforting reading for them - e.g. Feyenoord have lost all three of their previous UEFA matches in Belgium and Standard have not lost in two home games against Dutch clubs. My feeling is if I was doing to put money on this game it would be on the Standard side - I think there's more likely to be value on them at 3.9 than Feyenoord at 2.2. But 'No Bet' for me - plenty of other matches around. In addition to the known abscenses of Demba Ba, Midfielder Atiba and second choice striker Mustafa Pektemek,Be?ikta? announced that Velo Kavlak will also .be out of action for todays game. Considering the form guide of these players in the last weeks this is definately a big blow for bjk. Highstakes x2

Teams which could be value are in red, with home and away odds below. Shots on target stats are taken from the UEFA match reports for each side - both shots on target FOR and AGAINST. 18:00 games Group B Club Brugge - HJK 1.4/11.0 Group C Partizan - Asteras Tripolis 1.86/5.1 20:05 games Group H Everton - Krasnodar 1.97/4.6 Group K PAOK - Guingamp 1.87/5.25 Group G Sevilla - Rijeka 1.33/13.0 Group G St. Liege - Feyenoord 3.9/2.2 Group J Steaua Bucuresti - Dynamo Kiev 2.4/3.35 This is only an indication of possible value - I know from experience that backing a team in this league purely from these stats produces very mixed results. But it can indicate possible value :)

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th

Fiorentina on a handicap could be bet of the day. Dinamo Minsk's form has completely collapsed since the start of November. Fiorentina have a fairly large squad' date=' but I can't find any info who could feature.[/quote'] Wouldn't it be on Fiorentina's website?

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th Lot of games with little to nothing at stake. Always dangerous to bet on those. There are a couple of interesting games with decent value in them: Copenhagen-Torino Lille-Wolfsburg Young Boys-Sparta Praha Rio Ave-Aalborg Dnipro-St Etienne Any news on those games?

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday December 11th 2-way qualification fights Tonight, I have decided to focus on six matches which are 2-way qualification fights. These are effectively knock-out games where one team will qualify and the other will miss out. Here are the six games: 18.00 games Group A Gladbach v Zurich Group B Club Brugge v HJK 20.05 games Group H Lille v Wolfsburg Group K PAOK - Guingamp Group G Sevilla - Rijeka Group I Young Boys v Sparta Prague Details of who needs what to qualify 18.00 games Group A Gladbach v Zurich Gladbach need a draw. Zurich have to win. Group B Club Brugge v HJK Brugge will qualify with a draw. HJK have to win to stand a chance, and then they will qualify unless Torino win in Copenhagen - or they overtake Brugge on goal difference. 20.05 games Group H Lille v Wolfsburg Lille have to win. Wolfsburg need a draw. Group K PAOK v Guingamp To qualify, PAOK have to win and Guingamp need a draw. Group G Sevilla v Rijeka Two-way qualification fight here. Sevilla need a draw, Rijeka have to win. Group I Young Boys v Sparta Prague Young Boys have to win. Sparta need a draw. Where's the value then? So what's the point of all this? From experience, I have found there can be very good value in betting on these 2-way qualification battles in-play late in the game. The best value is on goals scored if there is only ONE goal in it. For example: 18.00 Group A Gladbach v Zurich Gladbach need a draw. Zurich have to win. If Gladbach are winning, say 2-0 after 80 minutes, Zurich would need to score three, Gladbach would effectively be through and I would hesitate to bet in-play. But if the score is 0-0, Zurich would only need one goal to qualify, and in this case I would consider backing overs goals. If Zurich did score, then Gladbach themselves would only need one goal to qualify. I think these 2-way qualification battles are often good value for late goals if there is ONE GOAL IN IT.
