Re: CSKA Moscow v AS Roma > Tuesday November 25th 4pts Roma to beat CSKA Moscow 6/4 Ladbrokes CSKA look to be flattered by their results against an abject Manchester City side to me. I still maintain they’re no good and I think Roma can show that here. I don’t particularly like taking away sides in the Champions League but Roma were miles too good for CSKA in the reverse fixture earlier in the season and that gives me enough confidence to take them in this one. Re: CSKA Moscow v AS Roma > Tuesday November 25th I think both sides will go for the win here in the race to qualify from Group E with Bayern. Because CSKA lost to Roma in Italy (losing 5-1), if they lose again here, they are out because they couldn't finish ahead of Roma. CSKA's last game is away to Bayern, so I am sure they will be trying to win this to give themselves a decent chance of qualifying. Roma will qualify here if they beat CSKA and Man City don't beat Bayern in the other game. Because of the competitive needs of both clubs, I think both sides will go for the win, and quite a few goals are likely. I see 'over 2.5 goals' as quite a bit more likely than not, and am happy with the current odds of just under evens. It's worth a small wager on over 3.5 as well. Over 2.5 1.94 Marathon Stake: 4 points Over 3.5 3.25 William Hill Stake: 2 points Total stake: 6 points

Re: CSKA Moscow v AS Roma > Tuesday November 25th CSKA - Roma A draw for Roma would be a good result, they win the h2h with CSKA if the two finish level on points and with the Italian side hosting City and Moscow going to Munich on Matchday 6, they will be firmly in control of their own destiny. A loss will see CSKA eliminated, but surely they will look for the win which will give them so many more options. It looks a good risk to reward gamble , the match will be played behind closed doors and in sub zero temperatures, with -6 to -8 degrees forecast for kickoff. The visitors are short defensively, but are much stronger in the centre of the park and this advantage is compounded with CSKA missing Rasmus Elm and Bibras Natkho and with Pontus Wernbloom doubtful, he left the weekend league game, where CSKA suffered their third staright defeat, at half time. Roma gave themselves every chance to adapt to the conditions by arriving early in Moscow and I favour them to win this with CSKA surely doing the sums and having to gamble at some stage. The hosts have talent going forward, but rely heavily on Doumbia to score their goals and defensively, they look below the standard required at this level, they have conceded 26 goals in 10 group games, two or more in four or five at home and if the backline is lacking protection tonight, it is impossible for me to see them keeping out the very mobile Roma offensive players for 45, let alone 90 minutes. 1.5 units AS Roma -0.25 ball 2.16 asian line/Sportmarket.

Re: CSKA Moscow v AS Roma > Tuesday November 25th Since there won't be fans in this game, there's no big home advantage for CSKA, & I think Roma will control the possession from the beginning as they usually do when they play against opponents from lower level. And given CSKA poor defence, I'll gladly take Roma 1st half W @ 3.11 with Pinnacle HIGH STAKES "for me".

Re: CSKA Moscow v AS Roma > Tuesday November 25th Roma are vastly superior technically, but it all comes down to their mentality. We saw with City how even a little loss of concentration can lead to a total collapse. Roma have always shot themselves in the foot in do or die matches, especially under Spalleti, but under Garcia they've also disappointed against their direct rivals. Roma have always been a betting enigma to me.

Since there won't be fans in this game
On the pictures I am watching, I can hear quite a few fans ... it's a good game so far, with both sides attacking, CSKA having slightly the better of it so far (0-0 after 33 minutes).

Result: CSKA 1 Roma 1 Both bets lost :$ Total stake: 6 points Total return: nil I thought Roma dominated the game overall and looked much the more composed side, but they paid the price for sitting on their lead when CSKA got an equaliser in the final minute of added time. The draw keeps both teams' hopes in the balance going into the final day
