The annual BDO and PDC get together begins this weekend when 32 players who've had decent runs in majors head to Wolverhampton for the Grand Slam. It is always a good week of darts this and the whole week is live on Sky in the UK. Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov currently thinking of game between Kim Huybrechts v Jan Dekker. After kim's last game in previous tournament he seemed to blame his loss to adrien lewis to the fact his mum was in hospital. he was clearly visably upset and allthough seemed to give a game of it to start with, my thinking is could this effect him again. Am sure if he was pushed in this game it might and Jan Dekker is certainly capable if he is at best. any suggestions on his current form as i am unsure. I dont like to be profiting on the fact someones mum is in intensive care, although maybe she is better but odds seem value and i will take it on the assuption he might not be getting his usual practice in. betfair @ 2.9 jan dekker to win v kim Huybrechts

Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Tournament preview: 1pt ew R.Barneveld to win Grand Slam of Darts 25/1 Boylesports (1/2 1-2) There isn’t an easy section in any darts draw these days but Raymond Barneveld has found himself in one which is about as comfortable as he could have hoped for. He may face Adrian Lewis in the early knockout stages but Lewis isn’t firing like we know he can and the other big names – Chisnall and Thornton, are both beatable. I thought Barney played some really good darts in the last couple of weeks and he was unlucky to run into van Gerwen on both occasions. He should actually have beaten the world champion last weekend and has beaten him in the final here when he won the tournament in 2012. Generally these invitational tournaments suit Barneveld and he looks the best value in the field here. Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Saturday afternoon selected previews: 3pts J.Dekker to beat K.Huybrechts 2/1 BetVictor I can’t possibly believe Kim Huybrechts’ mind will be on darts right now. It clearly wasn’t in Edinburgh last week and I don’t think anyone can blame him if it isn’t this week. Jan Dekker is nothing special and he’ll lose the other two matches in this group quite comfortably but this represents a chance for him to pick a victory even if it will be a fairly hollow one given the circumstances. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/k-huybrechts-vs-dekker-betting-circumstances-can-lead-to-dekker-winning-the-opener 5pts A.Norris to beat R.Huybrechts 7/10 Betfair Whatever the circumstances are with Ronny Huybrechts I would be confident on Alan Norris winning this match. He is a massive scorer and while he can have the odd mare on his doubles his scoring power is so good that he’ll get the chances to have the occasional mare. Huybrechts is steady but not flashy and even though it is his debut in the tournament I fancy the Lakeside finalist in this one. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/norris-vs-r-huybrechts-betting-alan-norris-can-win-on-grand-slam-debut 4pts R.Barneveld (-1.5 legs) to beat R.Green 4/6 Spreadex I like Robbie Green and it is a good thing for the tournament that he has made it here but I think he might have to focus on the other two matches in the group if he is to qualify from it because Barneveld has shown glimpses of his best stuff in the last couple of weeks. Although he’s lost twice to Michael van Gerwen he has beaten Simon Whitlock and Peter Wright and I expect him to add Kong to the list. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/barneveld-vs-green-betting-barneveld-should-be-too-strong-for-kong-in-wolverhampton 4pts A.Lewis (-2.5 legs) to beat R-J.Rodriguez 19/20 Betfair Despite his indifferent form in recent times I don’t see Adrian Lewis losing this match. His scoring is far too strong and I don’t see him missing the number of doubles he would have to in order to let Rodriguez in enough to nick it. Rodriguez is a good young player who can produce special things but he doesn’t do it consistently enough yet so this should be a comfortable Jackpot win. Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Saturday evening selected previews: 4pts C.Kist to beat A.Hamilton 5/4 Coral I think Kist offers a bit of value in this match. Andy Hamilton hasn’t been in great touch for a while now and I think the format may well suit the former Lakeside champion. He will have played loads of short course matches in his BDO days so knows how to get off to a fast start and he often goes well on the big stage. This will be close but Kist can edge it. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/hamilton-vs-kist-betting-former-lakeside-champ-can-edge-out-the-hammer-in-wolverhampton 4pts P.Wright vs B.Dolan - Over 7.5 legs 4/5 Skybet I think this will be a close match between two pretty even players. Wright is ranked higher and has had more success and will have patches of brilliance but that doesn’t worry the steady Dolan who will play his game. I think every match in this group will be tight just by the nature of how hard the group is so I am fully expecting to see more than 7.5 legs here given that every leg counts. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/wright-vs-dolan-betting-group-f-opener-should-be-a-close-match 4pts M.King vs T.O'Shea - Over 7.5 legs 10/11 Skybet These two have had many battles down the years and this one is likely to be another. King comes into the event in good nick but O’Shea is a quality player and I’m sure he’ll have been practicing hard for this event because the cash is huge by BDO standards this week. I think these two are pretty evenly matched. O’Shea won 5-4 when they met here last year and this could be just as tight. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/king-vs-o-shea-betting-old-school-battle-can-do-all-the-way-at-the-grand-slam 4pts M.Smith to beat S.Whitlock 21/20 Boylesports On recent form Michael Smith is a live outsider here. You could actually make a real case for him being the favourite in this match. He scores brilliantly and that is something Whitlock has been struggling with in the last month or so. Smith used to fall a little short on the doubles but he has improved a lot in that area and in the next progression in his career is a strong run of TV wins. That can begin here. Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Group D - To qualify - Robbie Green @ 5.5. Small stake. One of the groups of death - I think any two players can qualify. I rate Kong, big scorer and since it's rumoured he is attempting a move over to the PDC in January, he will be wanting to impress. I don't think the chance of him winning two matches is as remote as implied, odds based bet. Phil Taylor vs Richie George - Phil Taylor -3.5 @ 1.9. Medium stake. Phil Taylor vs Richie George - Phil Taylor to win 5-0 @ 3.5. Tiny stake. I don't think anyone has seen George since his appearance here last year. At his best he wasn't that good. And with apparently not playing regularly this year, he will be lucky to get a leg on the board against Taylor. Michael van Gerwen to win Group A. Phil Taylor to win Group E. Double @ 1.63. Small stake. Can't think of anything to write for this. Just think it wins tbh. Note: Bet365 weren't taking multiples on group winners. Group E - To qualify - Christian Kist @ 2.5. Tiny stake. Phil Taylor goes through, Richie George goes out. It comes down to Hamilton vs Kist. Neither of them have done much all season, but when Kist turns up, he really turns up. There's a smidgen of value in him at this price. Kim Huybrechts vs Jan Dekker - Jan Dekker @ 3.0. Tiny stake. Again, an odds based bet. I think Huybrechts is the better player on both of their days, but he hasn't produced his top game recently. If he doesn't pull out his A-game here, and an average Huybrechts plays an average Dekker, I think it's a 50/50 game.

Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov james wade outright winner betfair @ 10 apart from the obvious two, taylor and MVG, who arnt proving themselves indestructible at the moment think wade can back up his previous win. darts is a confidence game and especially after the circumstances of the final after he came from so far behind to win, i think his mind set will be not to give up in any situation.

Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Brendan Dolan to win Group F 9/2 Boylesports The Irishman may be the outsider to be top of the table in a group consisting of Smith, Whitlock and Wright but I believe that Dolan has a very good chance of making it through to the last 16 and winning the group. He has been in fine form in recent tv tournaments and he took MVG to a last leg decider in the European Championship last month and was beat by the eventual winner in James Wade in the Masters last week. I've never rated Dolan that highly in the last few years but he has increased the pace of his throw slightly and this seems to have helped him find a more consistent rhythm along with a new found confidence. Of his opponents he has played Smith on 5 occasions winning easily each time and although he doesn't have a better head to head record against the Wizard or Snakebite he does seem to be on the up whilst the aforementioned appear to be on the decline therefore the 9/2 price could be very nice come the close of play in the group stages.

Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Selected Sunday afternoon previews: 4pts D.Webster (-1.5 legs) to beat J.Dekker 11/10 Betfred I can’t see past Darren Webster here. He’s only won one match in the seven he has played in this tournament down the years and that was only against Arron Monk. That isn’t too much of a surprise because he isn’t a heavy scorer and can take a while to get going. Darren Webster looks to be in good touch at the minute and to come through the field he came through to qualify is quite a feat. He should win with a bit in hand here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/dekker-vs-webster-betting-darren-webster-should-be-too-good-for-bdo-star 4pts R.Thornton (-1.5 legs) to beat R.Green 5/6 BetVictor Robbie Green has been a bit unlucky with the draw he’s got in this group and I think he’ll suffer a second successive loss. He may well be able to compete with a lot of PDC players on his best form but I’m not sure about the elite level and Thornton is very much in that class. Kong isn’t on top form either which doesn’t help whereas Thornton looked much the better of the two on the opening day and the Scot can stay alive with a win here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/thornton-vs-green-betting-robert-thornton-can-be-too-good-for-robbie-green 4pts R.Barneveld (-1.5 legs) to beat V.van der Voort 10/11 Coral Vincent van der Voort has shown signs of being beaten by Barneveld before he’s even got on the stage on the two occasions they have met on the big stage in 2014 and I sense that could be his downfall here. Barneveld is a pure confidence player and he will know his record against his fellow Dutchman and will take confidence from that. Barney should have something in hand here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/barneveld-vs-van-der-voort-betting-raymond-barneveld-can-be-too-strong-in-all-dutch-clash 4pts D.Chisnall (-1.5 legs) to beat R-J Rodriguez 8/11 Skybet Rodriguez did well to overcome a disappointing Lewis in the first match but this could be a different proposition because Chisnall looks in fine form. There’s nothing wrong with Chisnall’s scoring at the minute and if he is crisp on his doubles he is going to take a lot of stopping not just in this match but in this tournament. Rodriguez needs to add some consistency to his game before he can be trusted but I just think Chisnall will have a bit too much for him. Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Selected Sunday evening previews: 4pts W.Harms to beat D.Winstanley 6/5 Coral Winstanley’s performance was very weird on Saturday night and now he’s put himself under all sorts of pressure going into this match. He hasn’t been a favourite for too many matches since he has come back into form so it will be interesting to see how he reacts here. We didn’t really get to see what Harms can do against Bunting because Bunting blew him away but we’ve seen in the past that Harms is a good player and if Winstanley plays like he did in his opener the Dutchman could be good value here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/winstanley-vs-harms-betting-wesley-harms-could-land-a-blow-for-the-bdo 4pts S.Whitlock to beat B.Dolan 8/11 Ladbrokes Whitlock showed glimpses against Michael Smith that his form and confidence isn’t far from coming back and if it arrives here he will have every chance of winning this match. Dolan looks to be in a dip in form at the minute and isn’t really on top form in any part of his game at the minute. I don’t think Dolan will go away easily but Whitlock has all the ingredients necessary to see off the Irishman here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/whitlock-vs-dolan-betting-whitlock-can-end-his-tv-drought-on-sunday 4pts M.Smith to beat P.Wright 10/11 Betfred These two have provided us with some cracking matches in the past and this one could be another but I have to take Michael Smith with the form he showed on Saturday. It wasn’t just how he played that impressed it was that he did it from 2-0 down in a really short format where often a player succumbs to pressure when they fall behind. Wright isn’t quite at the peak of his game at the minute and Smith can take advantage of that. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/wright-vs-smith-betting-michael-smith-can-overcome-wright-in-group-f-clash 4pts S.Bunting to beat G.Anderson 11/10 Bet365 Missed doubles have just started creeping back into Anderson’s game again in the last couple of TV tournaments and that could be critical here because he’s going to be under pressure on those doubles of that we can be sure. Stephen Bunting looks like a man who knows he belongs at this level now and he’s going to do some real damage to big names in TV events for the next few years. That can start with a marker being laid down here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/bunting-vs-anderson-betting-stephen-bunting-can-prevail-in-the-pick-of-sunday-s-action

Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Monday selected previews: 4pts K.Huybrechts (-1.5 legs) to beat D.Webster 4/5 BetVictor Based on what we’ve seen so far and on experience grounds too Huybrechts should be a good thing in this match. These two have met four times in the past and Kim has won all four so this is a match up he should be looking forward to. I get the feeling Kim is playing on emotion which is often when he plays his best darts and he’s decent value to cover a 1.5 leg head start. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/k-huybrechts-vs-webster-betting-kim-huybrechts-can-qualify-with-a-bit-to-spare 4pts K.Brown to beat R-J.Rodriguez 8/11 Ladbrokes Keegan Brown was too good for Rodriguez in that youth final earlier in the year and I suspect he will be again here too. He is one of the most talented youngsters in the game and the way he destroyed Lewis on Sunday should have given him plenty of confidence. Rodriguez is coming along nicely but he has a few too many weak scores in among the big scores for my liking so I’ll take Brown here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/brown-vs-rodriguez-betting-keegan-brown-can-advance-to-the-last-16 4pts R.Green to beat V.van der Voort 6/5 Bet365 I think Robbie Green is a touch of value in this match. There is no way Vincent can’t be thinking about the number of doubles he missed to take Barney out on Sunday and I wouldn’t be all that surprised were missed doubles to dog him here. Robbie Green finally showed up on Sunday and that should give him a lot of confidence to go into this one with. He wants to prove he belongs at this level and has the chance to do that here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/van-der-voort-vs-green-betting-green-can-see-off-the-dutchman-to-qualify 4pts T.Jenkins (-1.5 legs) to beat R.Huybrechts 4/5 BetVictor I can’t see past Terry Jenkins in this one. He is playing too well and Huybrechts is nowhere near as good as he can be so I would imagine this will be fairly one way traffic. Jenkins is scoring well and he’s been dialled in on tops for a while now. Huybrechts hasn’t been finishing well this weekend, in fact he hasn’t done much very well and I expect him to be well beaten here. Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Tuesday selected previews: 4pts S.Bunting (-1.5 legs) to beat D.Winstanley 4/5 Skybet I like Dean Winstanley but for whatever reason it just hasn’t happened for the fella in this tournament. He can’t see to get anything going and he’s up against one of the two or three players of the tournament so far here. The only thing I see Winstanley getting here is his backside handed to him. Bunting has taken two good opponents to the cleaners already and Winstanley can be a third one. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/bunting-vs-winstanley-betting-bunting-can-hit-the-knockout-stages-with-100-record 4pts S.Whitlock to beat P.Wright 11/10 Paddy Power From what we’ve seen so far this week I think Whitlock is a bit of value here. I don’t think his game is fully back but I like the way he is scoring in this tournament and if he doesn’t shoot himself in the foot when he’s down to a finish then I think he’s going well enough to win this match. Wright is just hitting too many loose scores for comfort at the minute so it is the Aussie for me here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/wright-vs-whitlock-betting-simon-whitlock-can-see-off-wright-in-knockout-battle 4pts T.O'Shea (+2.5 legs) to beat J.Wade 8/11 Coral I think this will be a very competitive match and it is a real banana skin for Wade. O’Shea will score well in this match but it will be how he finishes which determines the outcome of this match. We know by and large that Wade will finish strongly so O’Shea will be under pressure on his doubles which could be the difference. Despite that I think O’Shea will be good enough for three legs if not five. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/wade-vs-o-shea-betting-tony-o-shea-can-push-wade-all-the-way-in-wolverhampton 4pts G.Anderson (-2.5 legs) to beat W.Harms 11/10 Betfred These two met on this stage 12 months ago and Anderson won 5-1 on that occasion. Since then he’s gone from strength to strength and I’ve not seen anything from Harms this week yet that shows us he’s playing as well or better than a year ago so I’ve got to believe Anderson will have just as much in hand here. This is a huge match but it is one Anderson should be too good in. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/anderson-vs-harms-betting-gary-anderson-can-seal-his-place-in-the-last-16

Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Vincent van der Voort vs Robbie Green - Over 3.5 180s @ 8/11. Small stake. They have hit 11 180s between them so far, so I was surprised to see this line/price available. Indeed, Green hit 4 alone (covering this line) in his last match alone. Ignoring their 180ing in this tournament, both players can hit maximums freely, so I am giving only little consideration to any variance concerns over the tiny sample.

Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Peter Wright vs Simon Whitlock - Highest checkout score o104.5 @ 5/6. Small stake. Both of these players are capable of taking anything out, so I fancy the line over 9 legs. Phil Taylor vs Andy Hamilton - Phil Taylor o1.5 180s @ 5/6. Small stake. Taylor covered this line in the first leg of his match with Kist. Throw anything like he did in that match, hitting 5 in 6 legs and averaging 114+, and this will win.

Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Wednesday previews: 4pts A.Norris to beat K.Huybrechts 6/4 Bet365 Huybrechts is the established PDC player in this match but I think it is the BDO player who can prevail in this one. He looks the more solid player overall and I think the longer format will bring the best out of him. Huybrechts’ power scoring has been a little too patchy for my liking in this tournament so far and if he doesn’t find some consistency on that side of his game I would expect him to get blown away here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/norris-vs-k-huybrechts-betting-alan-norris-can-fly-the-bdo-flag-with-style 4pts D.Chisnall vs R.Green - Over 9.5 180s 5/6 Spreadex This should be an entertaining match. Both men are no stranger to where the 60 is and there probably isn’t a clear favourite in the match despite Chisnall’s standing in the game and the fact he’s a PDC player. Even though he’s in the BDO Green can still play the game. Both men score very heavily and in a match I expect to be quite close I think they can deliver 10 180s between them. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/chisnall-vs-green-betting-two-heavy-scorers-can-fill-the-bed-regularly 5pts T.Jenkins (+4.5 legs) to beat M.van Gerwen 8/11 Betfred I’m really looking forward to this one as they are both excellent to watch. Jenkins is getting an incredible start on the handicap in this match. I know MVG destroyed him in that European Championship final last month but we can largely ignore that because it is in Jenkins’ head when he plays in finals now. I’d rather look back to their UK Open semi final which was a ding dong classic. We could well get another here but either way I’m confident Jenkins takes at least six legs here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/van-gerwen-vs-jenkins-betting-terry-jenkins-can-take-it-to-van-gerwen-in-wolverhampton 4pts K.Brown (+3.5 legs) to beat R.Barneveld 5/6 Skybet I don’t think Brown will win this match but I certainly don’t think he’ll let Barneveld have it all his own way. Barneveld has been very consistent so far in this tournament but Brown has already beaten Lewis here and won’t fear a Barneveld who he has already beaten on the floor in his short career. Brown’s scoring power can keep him in a lot of these legs, especially on his throw so I would expect him to stay within 3.5 legs here. Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Dave Chisnall vs Robbie Green - Dave Chisnall checkout o112.5 @ 5/6. Small stake. Chisnall's doubles have been flying in so far this week. When this is combined with his noted proficiency on the treble 20, I think the chance of him taking out something over 112 is not as unlikely as suggested over a best of 19 legs match which I expect to go close. Michael van Gerwen vs Terry Jenkins - Michael van Gerwen most 180s @ 10/11. Small stake. MvG hasn't been throwing his best darts this week, but over the longer format I have to considered this selection to be overpriced. Even despite van Gerwen not doing anything special in the group stage, he still matched Jenkins' tally of 4 180s (in 5 more legs, albeit), so I'm struggling to see why the bookies think the 180 count will be so close. I'm considering this as a medium stake.

Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov

As early as three darts in from Alan Norris and I'm thinking 'Why did I get talked into betting on a BDO player to win a best-of-19-legs match against a top-level PDC player?' Absolutely foolish in hindsight and Wayne Mardle was spot on in saying similar beforehand.
And then 2 legs later you were probably thinking 'wow what great value this is'. Which is how it looked before the match. Sadly it didn't play out that way.

Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Thursday previews: 5pts M.Smith vs C.Kist - Over 8.5 180s 11/10 William Hill This should be a really good match between two excellent players. Given that Smith will be fairly new to the position of being a favourite in a TV match there is a real case to be made for Kist and a pretty easy one too but a quick glimpse at the 180 line gives us the better bet here. Smith is a massive 180 scorer but Kist is no slouch in that department and the two can produce more than 8.5 maximums here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/smith-vs-kist-betting-thursday-s-opener-should-be-full-of-180s 4pts G.Anderson (-2.5 legs) to beat M.King 3/4 Betway Gary Anderson must love playing Mervyn King. He actually mentioned in his interview on Tuesday night that he likes it because King plays the same pace as him but having won 16 of their last 18 meetings, some at a time when King was making the latter stages of every event, Anderson clearly has a hex on the Englishman. King did well to win a tough group and showed he’ll battle for every leg but there comes a time when you need to up the quality levels. That time has come now but I think he’ll be found wanting. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/king-vs-anderson-betting-gary-anderson-can-continue-his-good-run-against-king 4pts P.Taylor vs P.Wright - Over 15.5 legs 10/11 Skybet I think this could be a close match. It is certainly Taylor’s toughest test in the tournament so far. Wright beat Taylor in the Premier League and got a draw in the other game and then Wright beat Taylor in Dubai so we know he doesn’t fear him and he raises his game for him too. Ultimately though Taylor looks good this week and I would imagine he’ll come through but not before over 15.5 legs have been played. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/taylor-vs-wright-betting-peter-wright-can-go-well-enough-to-keep-the-match-close 4pts S.Bunting vs J.Wade - Over 16.5 legs 5/6 Skybet I expect this one to be a bit of a classic and with both going well at the minute I can only see this one going very close. Wade doesn’t miss a lot. Bunting is in great form so this one is nicely set up. Bunting has won both their meetings this year but Wade is playing better than he has done for ages so I expect him to keep this very competitive so over 16.5 legs looks the call here. Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov

Not at all, Norris went a break up but was still a whopping ten points behind on the three-dart averages. Basically a BDO average against a PDC average. I tried to cash out my bet at that point and salvage something but the betting was suspended and by the time it came back on Huybrechts had broken back and never looked back from that point. I'm not having a go at you, it was my decision to take the same bet but I'll be learning from it and having a more considered approach to measuring the standard of BDO players in future. I'm not being wise after the event either, I'm using this experience to learn for future events.
I didn't think you was having a go at me :ok. I was just pointing out that Norris had got himself into a position whereby he could dominate the match if he was playing well enough. Unfortunately for us tonight was one of his worse nights because he's a much better player than that irrelevant of the BDO/PDC thing. Don't forget he destroyed a true PDC top-level player in Jenkins two games ago and did it with a 99+ average and regularly averages around or over 100 on the BDO circuit. I personally thought 6/4 was a decent price on Norris against a guy who'd only won 3 matches on TV since this tournament last year before this week started. As I say sadly Norris didn't play well but I wouldn't advise writing off BDO players just on that evidence because as Bunting has shown this year and as Waites has shown 3-4 times in this tournament and the likes of Hankey and O'Shea have shown too the top level of that system can more than hold their own in PDC company if they play well.

Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Michael Smith to beat Christian Kist. Gary Anderson to beat Mervyn King. Double @ 1.86. Small stake. Smith has really turned up this week, topping the group of death with 3 wins from 3 matches against top 12 players. I think there is a fairly significant gap in quality between the two players, and over the long format, Smith should create a comfortable lead with relative ease. He will be fancying himself to go deep in this tournament and with a relatively easy match in this round, he has every chance of doing that. Gary Anderson and Mervyn have shown their best form for a few years, recently; King reaching the quarter final, semi final and then final of major events; Anderson finally hitting the doubles that he has struggled with for so long. But King hasn't been in the best of nick so far at the Grand Slam, scraping through each of his group matches 5-4 with fairly pedestrian averages; whilst Anderson has somewhat maintained his excellent darts. As mentioned above, Anderson has a dominant record against King and I expect him to improve that further today.
