kevshat
The run of major darts tournaments continues with The Masters this weekend with the top 16 doing battle in Edinburgh. Every dart is live on ITV4 and the format is pretty long from the dart so it should be another top two days of arrers. kevshat
Re: The Masters Tournament preview: 2pts ew G.Anderson to win The Masters 12/1 Skybet (1/3 1-2) I happen to like Gary Anderson this weekend. He didn’t do a whole lot wrong against Terry Jenkins in the Euro’s last week and was edged out in a thrilling deciding leg but given what Jenkins ended up achieving that weekend that wasn’t a bad defeat. Anderson has been in superb form on the floor this season and it took Taylor at his very best to beat him in the Matchplay but I’ve been waiting for another opportunity to get behind Anderson and this is it. He will have all of the crowd support and against potential opponents Taylor, Wade and Lewis that could be a decisive difference. He’s throwing brilliantly this year and at 12/1 he looks the value in the field. kevshat
Re: The Masters Saturday previews: 4pts D.Chisnall vs R.Thornton - Over 9.5 180s 4/5 Skybet I love watching matches between these two because they always bring the best out of each other. In 12 leg matches in the Premier League the two produced eight 180s in one match and 12 in the other which is pretty scintillating scoring by anyone’s expectation. With this match being over 19 legs I think both can settle into a groove here and find their scoring boots and deliver plenty more 180s. There are a couple of single figure lines which look a shade low so I’m in overtown here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/chisnall-vs-thornton-betting-explosive-scorers-can-deliver-more-180s-in-scotland 4pts S.Whitlock vs M.King - Over 16.5 legs 10/11 Coral I think this has all the makings of being a close match. Whitlock has a good record over King but by and large whenever the two do battle it is usually quite tight. When they are playing well neither gives the opponent and inch and I would expect over this distance for that to be the case here. Thet both have their quirky finishing methods so neither has a disadvantage there so I expect this to end 10-7 or closer. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/whitlock-vs-king-betting-saturday-afternoon-clash-can-be-a-tight-one 4pts J.Wade vs B.Dolan - Over 16.5 legs Evs William Hill I think this one has all the makings of another tight clash. A quick look at the head to head shows that Dolan has actually won four of the last five meetings between the two so Wade will be out to put that record straight here. These two look fairly evenly matched to my eye in that they both score solid enough and both take out regular finishes so I don’t see either man running away with this match. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/wade-vs-dolan-betting-these-two-may-take-some-separating-in-edinburgh 4pts P.Taylor (-4.5 legs) to beat W.Newton 10/11 Skybet Poor doesn’t do Newton’s record against Taylor justice. It is abysmal. In their last four meetings, one of which was a best of 31, he has won just 10 legs out of 47. In long distance matches between the two in the past the closest he has got to Taylor is 11-5 so he can’t be feeling particularly good about this match up particularly given the form he’s in. Taylor enjoys these longer formats and he should have far too much for Newton once again. kevshat
Re: The Masters Sunday QF previews: 4pts J.Pipe to beat M.King Evs Stan James Given the way the two men played in the first round and the fact that Pipe has won the last three matches between the two I’m going to go with Justin Pipe in this match. King has been getting good results recently and you can’t fault him for that but he hasn’t really ever stood out with his performances. I thought Pipe played well against Wright and deserved to win and he can pick up another win here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/king-vs-pipe-betting-justin-pipe-can-continue-his-upturn-in-form 4pts J.Wade vs A.Lewis - Over 16.5 legs 4/5 Coral Historically James Wade has had the upper hand when these two have met and he may well come through this match too but I think this one will be tighter than some of their previous meetings. Although there is no ranking money or prestige at stake here these two do like to get one up on each other so this won’t be any ordinary match. Both will give their all and they should ensure this ends 10-7 or closer. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/wade-vs-lewis-betting-familiar-foes-can-play-out-a-close-quarter-final 4pts P.Taylor vs G.Anderson - Over 16.5 legs Evs Paddy Power This has all the makings of a classic quarter final and it could very well go the distance. Both men looked in excellent form in the first round and both have been playing to a standard that suggests they are very happy with their games. Both men score well so they will hold their throw a lot more than not so this just has the feel of a tight match about it and one which will have at least 17 legs. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/taylor-vs-anderson-betting-pick-of-the-quarter-finals-can-be-tight 4pts M.van Gerwen vs D.Chisnall - Over 8.5 180s 8/11 Unibet Generally when these two meet we see a lot of 180s and I don’t expect this one to disappoint in that regard. They play to a great rhythm and both men score heavily at the best of times anyway. We saw them plough in over a dozen 180s when they met in a match which didn’t go too close last week so I’ve got to believe we’ll see nine more here at the very least. KautoStar666
Re: The Masters Gary Anderson +4.5 Leg @ 2/5 (v Taylor) skybet Anderson is paying very well, and with the support on his side (for once) I think this line is absolutely huge! Anderson could go and win this today, and then the whole tournament IMO. Both played well first round, Taylor played a man he beats in his sleep though and the pressure was nothing compared to what he will face here. I expect a close game, and one Anderson can nick. Adrian Lewis most 180s @ 8/15 (v Wade) boylesports As we all know Lewis is a massive scorer when on song, and first round pointed to him returning to some of his best. He knows he will need it today, to get past a James Wade playing as well as ever! Wade doesn't tend to hit many 180s, so over this distance in a game I expect to be close. Lewis should end up with a fair few more than Wade. King v Pipe - Over 16.5 Legs @ 10/11 skybet Both these men will believe they can win this one, and will both be relatively happy with their second round opponent. Who wins? Its a really tough call IMO, both pretty even in all facets of the game, both love double 16 and both just plod on with the game at their own pace. I expect it to be a tough battle, and really cant imagine any of them running away with the tie.
KautoStar666
Re: The Masters Phil Taylor v James Wade - Under 10.5 180s @ 8/11 sportingbet Should be a great game, but not because of the big scores. Here we have two players renowned for their finishing, and consistent scoring and rarely have I seen either of these 2 hammer the treble 20 bed. Taylor often switching and Wade tends to struggle to land 3 in the bed. Other bookies have the line as low as 7.5, so seeing this line has drawn me in despite the potential for an extra couple of legs. Michael Van Gerwen -3.5 Legs @ 4/9 paddypower Got to fancy Michael here big time, King's recent record against him is very poor. I believe just the 1 win in their last 15 meetings. Tonight with the atmosphere in the crowd up a notch, and a place in the final on offer. I think it all plays into MVG's hands, and may affect King in a negative way. Best of 21 legs now, and once Van Gerwen gets on a role I feel like he can blitz King and run away with this match.
