Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 6th Group C Asteras Tripolis - Tottenham 18.00 Asteras have better shots on target stats than Tottenham in the early group games, but they are quoted at over 5.0 here. Those odds look too high, even though Tottenham beat Asteras 5-1 at home. Greek sides are often much stronger at home than away. UEFA's website says Asteras haven't lost at home in Europe for three seasons - won 4 and drawn 3. Asteras +0.5 2.1 Paddy Power Stake: 4 points Asteras AH0 3.65 Marathon Stake: 1 point Total stake: 5 points

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 6th Group J Dynamo Kiev - Aalborg 20.05 Aalborg's shots on target stats are only slightly worse than Dynamo's. Aalborg beat Dynamo 3-0 in Denmark last month. On the UEFA website, Aalborg's players say that Kiev's players were a level above them. Kiev are traditionally strong at home and it will be tough for AaB tonight. But bearing in mind the shots on target numbers and the fact tha AaB won the first game 3-0, odds of 1.4 on Kiev look too short to me. AaB or Draw 3.25 Marathon Stake: 5 points

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 6th Group H Everton v Lille 20.05 These two sides drew 0-0 in Lille in October. The two sides' shots on target stats are similar. Reading message boards and newspapers, I haven't seen anyone tipping Lille - everyone is going for Everton. They should be favourites I think, but they look too short to me here at 1.8. Lille +0.5 2.08 188Bet Stake: 5 points

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 6th [h=2]Astra Giurgiu v Celtic Celtic at 1.90 for (draw no bet) is quite good value I feel. They top the group, and even though they played badly at home against Astra they still won 2-1. I don't think Celtic will lose, I am 85% sure they will win the match after looking at the lineup. Worse case scenario for them tonight is a draw, hence the value. You would never get these draw no bet odds if Celtic were playing any other SPL side, and at best I think Astra would be a midtable SPL side. Sort of like Celtic playing away to Kilmarnock or something. Captain Scott Brown is also included in the squad, Celtic are always more attacking and disciplined when he plays, and the very experienced ex premiership goalkeeper Craig Gordon is between the sticks. Good call, well done. But I don't think you've watched Killie lately ;)

That's a very ignorant comment. Astra are one of the top teams in Romania and the Romanian league is better the SPL.

Group E Dinamo Moscow - Estoril 17.00 My shots on target stats for the group games so far rank Estoril just below Dynamo, but the odds are very different for this game. Estoril need the points here, whereas Dynamo lead the group and should qualify irrespective of the result today. Dinamo won the first game in Portugal 3-1 last month. The UEFA report says the teams were 'evenly matched' and reveals that Estoril missed a penalty in that game. Taking all information into account, Estoril's odds look a little on the high side, so they are worth backing I think - Estoril or Draw 2.7 Coral Stake: 5 points
Result: Dinamo Moscow 1 Estoril 0 Bet lost Stake: 5 points Return: nil Profit/loss = -5 points The stats on Bet365 suggested the game was fairly even, so this perhaps wasn't a bad bet, although it lost.

Overall, it sounded as Spurs probably deserved to win.

Besiktas-Partizan For sure there is a HW tonight. Partizan are tired and had played 5 Games in last 15 Days. Partizan Coach said that the team is tired and he knows that he will be loosing tonight and so they will give some fresh Players the chance tonight. Also Partizan is missing 3 important players: CD - Ilic, RD - Vulicevic and DM - Brasanac. The last win away in EL was 2005 so you see Partizan is very bad away. Also Besiktas win the Game in Belgrad with 4:0. So for me here easy win. BUT i will take 1 or 2 stakes lower, because Besiktas MUST playing in Olimpic Stadium and at this ground Besiktas played not so good. Only God knows why. o.O. So for me: Besiktas AHC-1 @ 1.72 5/10 sbobet
FT 2:1 CashBack

My final choices for this evening: Zurich - Villareal X2+GG @2.08 (Planetwin) Rio Ave - Steaua Bucuresti X2&2+ @2,16 (Planetwin) GL to everybody
One lost, Zurich - Villareal 3-2 for a memorable second half of NOTHING btw 2 teams apparently doing a training after scoring 5 goals in the first 45'. Second won thanks to a goal at 92' scored by Ionut Filip for Steaua Bucuresti. EL never easy.
