Re: European Championship 24-26 Oct Tournament preview: 2pts ew J.Wade to win European Championship 12/1 Betway (1/2 1-2) It is Wade who I am going with though. He is in some real form at the minute. He made the final of the World Grand Prix in Dublin a couple of weeks ago where he beat Taylor along the way and since then he has won a Players Championship event last weekend and made the final of the other one before Michael van Gerwen was too good for him again. There aren’t many hotter players than Wade on the planet at the minute and given that he’s in the Lewis quarter where Lewis looks in no form whatsoever Wade has found the right draw to go very deep this weekend. Re: European Championship 24-26 Oct Friday afternoon previews: 4pts I.White to beat W.Newton 5/6 Spreadex Wes Newton is defending a bit of cash on the Order of Merit this weekend so the pressure is automatically on him for that and I’m not convinced he is going to handle it. He looks to be in pretty awful form at the minute and going up against someone as consistent as White probably isn’t the best thing for him. White hasn’t torn the world apart since he made the World Championship quarter final earlier in the year but he’s solid enough to be a worthy favourite in this one. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/newton-vs-white-betting-ian-white-should-have-too-much-for-newton-in-muelheim 4pts M.Smith (-1.5 legs) to beat B.Dolan 21/20 Boylesports I always think Brendan Dolan is there for the taking against the bigger scorers in the game because although he is steady and consistent he rarely hits purple patches on his scoring so while you know you have to play well against Dolan if you do hit the big scores against him you have a decent advantage. Not many are hitting big scores better than Michael Smith at the minute so I think the youngster can win this and do it with a little in hand. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/dolan-vs-m-smith-betting-michael-smith-looks-too-strong-for-dolan 4pts K.Huybrechts to beat D.Winstanley 4/5 Bet365 A couple of weeks ago you would say Winstanley was the only winner of this match but it is crazy what confidence does to you in this game and Kim must have loads of it having made the final and semi final in the two events last weekend. That should ensure Huybrechts attacks the 60 in this match and when he does that and combines it with his power finishing he’s very hard to beat. This should be a great match but Kim can just edge it. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/winstanley-vs-k-huybrechts-betting-kim-huybrechts-can-edge-past-winstanley 3pts C.Kist to beat M.King 7/4 Stan James On what we’ve seen all year King would be a worthy favourite here but I just sense Kist is going to show up here with his A-game. He’s a big stage player at the best of times but with some big events coming up in the next couple of months which he has qualified for I expect him to have been pounding the practice board. If he has and has his best game with him here there is no doubt where the value lies against a King who seems to have lost his scoring boots while changing weapons. Re: European Championship 24-26 Oct Friday evening previews: 3pts B.van de Pas to beat P.Wright 21/10 William Hill These two met just seven days ago in Crawley and van de Pas was a winner of that match so he is automatically decent value to win this one. Not only did he beat Wright in that tournament but he pushed van Gerwen close in the quarter final. Peter Wright’s best form hasn’t really come out since the halfway mark of the Premier League and over this distance he could just be there for the taking here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/wright-vs-van-de-pas-betting-friday-evening-s-session-could-start-with-a-shock 4pts J.Klaasen (+2.5 legs) to beat A.Lewis 9/10 Boylesports I don’t see Adrian Lewis having this all his own way. It may be that he’ll be bang up for this one because he is defending his title but he will need to be because Klaasen always raises it against the top players. Lewis has looked disinterested at times in the big events recently which is a little strange so I wonder if something behind the scenes is distracting him. Either way I think Klaasen can run him close here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/lewis-vs-klaasen-betting-former-lakeside-champion-can-push-lewis-close 4pts J.Pipe (+2.5 legs) to beat M.van Gerwen 6/5 Skybet I’ve no idea if Pipe raises his game against van Gerwen or if it is his slow style that puts the Dutchman off but anyone who has a one in two record against the Green Machine these days is doing something right. That record suggests van Gerwen won’t have this all his own way and that Pipe is certainly no 4/1 shot in this match but perhaps the safer play is to take the Force with the 2.5 leg start. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/van-gerwen-vs-pipe-betting-justin-pipe-can-cause-the-world-champion-problems-again 4pts S.Whitlock to beat R.Barneveld 10/11 BetVictor Simon Whitlock has won the last three meetings between these two and they’ve all been recently and all been on a big stage and that has to give him the belief to go on and win this match. Barneveld seems to be lacking in a bit of belief at the minute not to mention heart and fight and you get the feeling if Whitlock gets ahead early he may run away with this but if not he’ll fight all the way and looks the man to have money on here. Re: European Championship 24-26 Oct Saturday selected previews: 4pts T.Jenkins vs R.Thornton - Over 16.5 legs 4/5 BetVictor I think this will be a good match to open the second round and one which should contain plenty of mileage because these two are pretty evenly matched. Both looked in good touch in the first round and they both know how to go deep in the bigger events so this match is going to take some winning for either of them. I really don’t see this being won any easier than 10-7 so the logical bet is over 16.5 legs. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/jenkins-vs-thornton-betting-second-round-opener-can-go-into-the-later-legs 4pts J.Caven to beat J.Klaasen 9/10 Paddy Power This will probably start off quite close for the early stages but the longer it goes I fully expect Caven’s consistency to come through and him to progress to another European quarter final. Caven has been knocking on the door this year without it opening but the quarter has opened right up for him with Wade and Lewis getting knocked out so this is his chance to have a really big run starting with a win in this one. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/klaasen-vs-caven-betting-jamie-caven-can-win-the-battle-of-the-speedsters 2pts S.Bunting to beat P.Taylor 7/2 Paddy Power Taylor wiped Bunting out in the final of the Sydney Masters a couple of months ago in a final where Bunting missed a sack load of doubles but he doesn’t seem to be missing as many these days so I think he has a real chance in this match. He will outscore Taylor and if he hits a decent percentage of his doubles then he can send The Power back to book promoting a lot sooner than expected. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/taylor-vs-bunting-betting-lakeside-champion-can-cut-off-the-power-in-muelheim 4pts M.King vs R.Huybrechts - Over 16.5 legs 11/10 Skybet I think this has the makings of a pretty tight game. Both men try their hardest and in the case of King he doesn’t really wallop anyone these days especially with some of his bizarre finishing combinations costing him the odd leg or two. Ronny Huybrechts saw off Taylor in this round a year ago so he has got previous so I wouldn’t be surprised if this one goes all the way. I think it’ll go at least 17 legs before it is won though. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/r-huybrechts-vs-king-betting-last-second-round-match-should-be-a-close-one

Re: European Championship 24-26 Oct Klaasen v King - Over 7.5 180s 11/10 skybet The 180s have being flying in at Euros and I don't see why that will change this afternoon. Klaasen hit 10 180s in his win over Caven yesterday afternoon and looked in excellent form. King is a quick player along with the Dutchman therefore I do not see either player losing their rhythm in what should be a close match. King only hit 4 maximums against Ronny Huybrechts last night but the Belgian is a slow player and the pace of the game today will suit both players. Van Gerwen v Chisnall - Over 10.5 180s 5/6 bet365 Dave Chisnall usually pushes MVG close when they meet each other and I don't seeing this being too different this afternoon. MVG hit 11 180s in his victory over the unlucky Dolan last night but missed a lot of doubles in the process which should give Chizzy plenty of chances to win legs and give a better opportunity of more 180s being hit. Chisnall had 7 maximums in his win over White and, along with the game above, the pace should suit both players bringing out the best in each other with plenty of high scores.
