NornIron
Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Friday November 14th Romania v Northern Ireland I don't know what to expect here. Will both teams settle for a draw? We have a new manager - Anghel Iordanescu who already promised an attacking approach for this game. I don't think we suppose to be as short as 4/7 favourites against a team that are in top form and won away in Greece and Hungary. I think we can see some goals in this one with both teams scoring. Over 1,5 goals - @4/9 (bet365) Over 2,5 goals - @7/5 (bet365) I do not think there will be many goals in this game mate and I am certain that my team, Northern Ireland, will come to defend and will be happy to leave Romania with a 0-0 draw. We have lost our captain and best player, Steven Davis, through injury and are likely to play a very defensive shape with only one striker. The first 20 minutes are crucial. If Romania score early, I'm not sure we have a plan B. I'm reasonably confident that we can frustrate your team though and get our point. PuntersLuck
Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Friday November 14th I know Ireland and Poland thrashed them 7-0 and in all fairness they could have had more if they really went for it. Gibraltar did defend better in the last 15 mins of their second half against Ireland. They are learning the hard way and it don't come much tougher than Germany but I am hopeful that they won't get beat by more than 9 goals. Why? well this is effectively a training ground exercise for the Germans and they will be keen to have this match over by half time. The Bundesliga and Champions league resumes the following week so I can see the players taking it a bit easier in the second half. It will be a long night for Gibraltar but I believe that they can stop more than 9 goals going in against Germany. dawwe92
Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Friday November 14th Every Irish fan knows Whelan, although a really good worker, is a dreadfully limited footballer. We have Stephen Quinn, Robbie Brady, and even Aiden McGeady who can do a job in midfield, and who are getting regular enough football in the Premier League. Darron Gibson has got a decent amount of game time through the league, Europa League too. Of the players likely to start for Scotland, they only have James Morrison who is getting regular game time in the Premier League in central midfield. Darren Fletcher has 25 minutes since August. Hendrick is a Premier League standard midfielder, you wait and see. Also we have McGeady and Walters who will likely start on the wing, who are playing in the Premier League. Scotland will likely start with Anya and Maloney, both championship players. As a Stoke fan who watches Whelan play every week I don't agree with you. I think Whelan is a good Premier League midfielder, he's not creative but he's hard working, loyal and got huge heart and lungs. Haven't watched him play for Ireland though but I definately rate him much higher than Hendrick.

I worry with Davis out that our midfield may struggle to keep calm under pressured situations. That along with wards counter attacking pace absent we may struggle going forward at times. This said lafferty works hard up front and is dangerous at the best of times. Romania will be looking to impress new coach and will be under a lot of pressure. kevshat
Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Friday November 14th Friday TV previews: 4pts Scotland vs Ireland - Both teams to score 6/5 Coral I think this will be a good game to watch. Scotland have impressed me under Strachan while Ireland are improving all the time under O’Neill. Ireland have the dangerous Robbie Keane while Aiden McGeady will be looking to go well on his former stomping group. Scotland don’t have that out and out scorer that Ireland do but they are no strangers to committing men forward, sometimes to the detriment of their defence so I like both to score here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/scotland-vs-republic-of-ireland-betting-both-sides-can-find-the-net-at-celtic-park 4pts Poland to beat Georgia 19/20 Coral Poland look like a side who can be relied on now especially against a Georgia side who are in a fair bit of turmoil. Poland have looked really good in the group so far and Georgia aren’t the best side in the competition and if Poland are to come out of the group then this is a match they need to win. I think they’ve got the quality and the firepower to do just that. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/georgia-vs-poland-betting-poland-should-see-off-georgia-comfortably-enough 4pts Northern Ireland (+1AH) to beat Romania 1.90 Unibet I think Northern Ireland’s start merits some respect for them ahead of this match. They are no longer no hoper whipping boys. They are well organised and have an attacking threat and an end product at the other end of the pitch. Romania aren’t the most free scoring side in the world so I think Ireland may well always be in the game. With all that in mind the +1 Asian line could be a tough too high for the home side to cover. james-10-
Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Friday November 14th Scotland - Ireland Very interesting game between two teams that have showed - with their course so far - that they can dream for qualification even directly by getting the second place. Scotland has done all the right steps so far. They started with the expected loss from Germany, then they won the week Georgia and managed to take a point from Poland away. Ireland has managed to be in the first place by winning the two weekest teams of the group as they should and by taking a very important point in Germany's home. It's a game for the 2 first places of the group and both teams will fight it to the end. I find Ireland more passionate and willing for the win but Scotland plays at home and that's an imprtant factor. I'm going for the draw as i believe it will keep both teams satisfied and still hoping for the qualification. AF13
Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Friday November 14th SCOTLAND – REPUBLIC OF IRELAND G/G at 2.02 @ Marathonbet A very interesting match is going to be held at “Celtic Parkâ€. Scotland hosts Republic of Ireland, with both teams having a desire for the win. The Scotch team has collected four points (1-1-1) so far, being at the 3rd place of Group D. As a result, the hosts will try to reach the three points, in order to remain dreaming of a direct qualification at the final stage of Euro 2016. The Irish team, on the other hand, is unbeaten at its three first matches (2-1-0) and shares the 1st place of the group with Poland. In addition, Irish have left as winners from their two last visits at Scotland. Last but not least, so the coach Martin O’Neill as a number of players are very familiar with “Celtic Parkâ€, as they have a… past with the shirt of Celtic. I can’t predict the final winner, but I am nearly sure that both teams will score at this match.

TEG45
Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Friday November 14th Portugal vs Armenia – To Win To Nil - Portugal @ 1.71 Marathonbet Fernando Santos will slowly pass his ideas to Portugal. He is a very experienced coach, respectful and with emphasis on the defensive sector of the game. Demands discipline and loyalty and that’s what he is going to get, no matter what. The home side started the qualifiers with the shocking home defeat to Albania (0-1), but continued with the big away win against Denmark (1-0), a result that brought them to third place, only one point behind the first spot. Tonight they want the win against Armenia, a teams that will play very defensively trying not to give spaces for the dangerous attacking players of Portugal. Armenia is a descent team, not to be underestimated, but I don’t see them taking anything positive tonight.
JuMeSyn
Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Friday November 14th I really like the Over 1.5 TG Poland @ 2.25 (bet365), and Robert Lewa TSA @ 2.9 on BF Sportsbook. Poland look like a much brighter side this time and even without Kuba, they have Lewa, Silik and Rybus upfront. That's good firepower, especially Lewa. Rumours about the bad atmosphere in Georgia and the fact that the manager might leave in the end of this match say it all: they are completely wrecked. Not that it will be a walkover, playing in Georgia is never easy, but I think Poland has enough to score twice or even more if they want to win this one. HastGill1
Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Friday November 14th Germany v Gibraltar Don't think anyone has admitted pulling the trigger on Germany yet, if so I'll be the first! Said in my initial post I think they will rack up double figures so I'll back them at -8.75AH (never thought I would be writing that). Germany are going to only be playing 3 at the back apparently and pushing more players into attacking positions which should help us, Gibraltar are the naivest side defensively I've seen at International level and they will target a goal above anything else. Their defence is a shambles and they leave gaps all over the place, whichever gk they use will be total pony as I've watched all of them in the past. The defensive resilience of a minnow like Andorra has been earned over many years and Gibraltar need plenty more experience before they can aim to keep the scoreline down, if fairness to them they play the game 'the right way' and will look to go forward when at all possible. If you need any further proof of the difference between the sides see this; '..When they can't get access to the one and only full-sized soccer field on the territory for training sessions, they have to improvise. ''We just go running around the streets,'' midfielder Jeremy Lopez said. ''We go to a car park and do some sprints, fitness. It's ridiculous, old school.'' :lol Brilliant. Difficult to know what will be available in-play, will certainly be looking to top up though if possible. In Romania fans are unhappy that Stancu will play instead of Keseru but i think that new coach Iordanescu wants continuity and Stancu scored both goals in the victory against Finland 2-0.
