Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd I have to fancy Legia at 17/10. I have seen them a few times this season and although lacksadaisical they can lift their game when they set their minds to it. 5 straight wins away in Europe (ignoring the Celtic debacle). 3 defeats in 19 matches. Kharkiv i know little about except they have just 3 wins in 18 in regular time and have to play this game in neutral Kiev. They wont have too many cheering them on. Metalist zero points so far...perhaps they will just surrender. Legia? Well they are desperate to have a good run as the final is at their home stadium!!

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd I see the price on Dinamo Zagreb drifting, to 6,50 @Bet365. Considering their recent form, the style of play showed Vs Celtic, and the trashing of Astra, I believe there's solid value in DINAMO +1 (EH) 2,60 DINAMO +2 (EH) 1,57 Salsburg is no powerhouse in this competition, holding out a draw Vs. Celtic is the only thing they've done better than Dinamo (Z) this season in EL, and I believe they are being overpriced. They have let in 2 goals against Ried, and Dinamo definitely rates higher than Ried in the terms of quality. Without injured Duje ?op, I guess that Man.Utd Henriquez will start in the first 11, and he and Soudani should score a goal, while I doubt that Salzburg can score more.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd DNB is good option as Legia is without three regulars (two defenders Dossa Junior CB and Brzyski LB) and absolute key playmaker/striker Radovic Metalist without key internationals (due to political situation in Ukraine) Cleiton Xavier striker, Rodrigo Moledo middfielder and Papa Gueye CB BTW Europa League final is in Warsaw but on National stadium rather than Legia stadium

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd Paok look a big price against Fiorentina. They are usually excellent at home and are flying in the Greek League. But, they main reason is Fiorentina are expected to play a much weaken side due to their game against Milan on Sunday. Savic,Barbarcar,Pizarro and Fernandez (all of whom started against Lazio) are not in the squad. Rossi and Mario Gomez are still injured. Neto, Tomovic, Cuadrado, and Alonso are all expected to be rested. Montella cearly considers the Milan game to be more important...some quotes: “We will play with the same mentality as we always do, but the result is not decisive for the final standings in the group. “I will put out the strongest side available but we might see a couple of players that haven’t played much this season but I’m happy because Fiorentina is a squad full of strong professionals. According to this predicted line up from an Italian Fiorentina fan site there could be 9 changes from the side that played Lazio at the weekend... http://www.violanews.com/news-viola/campetto-vn-i-probabili-11-per-il-paok-torna-borja-titolare-20141022/

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd Thursday TV previews: 3pts Everton to beat Lille 11/5 Betfred With Lille having trouble scoring I think Everton have every chance in this match especially with the attacking power they possess. Roberto Martinez will be looking to build on the win at the weekend to build some momentum to take forward so I expect him to name a fairly strong side. By and large French sides don’t often take this competition too seriously so I’m not convinced we’ll see Lille at their best here so Everton look good value to me. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/lille-vs-everton-betting-everton-can-continue-their-good-europa-league-form 4pts Asteras Tripolis (+1.25AH) to beat Tottenham 1.92 Bet365 Tottenham will need to be careful here as this isn’t perhaps the simple game it looked when the groups came out. If they make too many changes and don’t gel then this could be a long night for them. They’ve not yet really convinced in any competition this season and always look open defensively so there is enough to suggest that Asteras can cover a big looking handicap in this one. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/tottenham-vs-asteras-tripolis-betting-asteras-can-prove-tough-to-crack 4pts Celtic to beat Astra Giurgiu 8/11 Betfred I don’t see Celtic having too many problems in this match. Astra have struggled in this group so far and Celtic Park is never an easy place to go as Dinamo Zagreb found out in the last round of matches. Since then Celtic look to have built some momentum and I would expect them to get straight into this one and if they score early they could well win this by a couple of goals or more. No point in wasting a couple of mins typing my thoughts when I can copy kevshats. At home they are a different kettle of fish. Although Astra are doing ok domestically in the Romanian league a visit to Celtic Park is never easy.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd Krasnodar - Wolfsburg Krasnodar to win @ 2.50 Marathonbet Krasnodar remains unbeaten in their home for 4 games in Europa League (they started playing from the 2nd qualification round in July) and also hasn't lost in the last 5 games for the Russian League where they are in the 5th place after 10 rounds. Joaozinho is injured and won't be playing today, something unfortunate for Krasnodar as he is a key player. Wolfsbur seems to have started playing nice football again and get positive results. They haven't lost in the last 4 games in Germany and Europe but also they haven't won in their last 6 games for Europa League. They have one point so far and i think they will have a hard time to get a positive result in Russia

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd Steaua Bucharest - Rio Ave After loosing in Kiev 1-3, Steaua needs a win against the weakest side in this group. Galca said yesterday that with 6 points against Rio Ave, his team is 90% qualified. The Romanians have much European experience and they rarely loose on their own ground. Rio Ave is not a very strong opponent, loosing without scoring with Aalborg and Dinamo Kiev. In first home game Steaua won 6-0 against Aalborg (the score is to harsh). Today Chipciu and Rusescu will probably miss the game due to injures. They will be replace without problems I think Steaua can win tonight, easy or hard... 1 @ 1.60 8/10 1 DNB @ 1.22 10/10 Possible score: 2-0 2-1 Bets Won

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd People should bear in mind, from the match report at least, that Dinamo hammered Celtic, so that win probably not as impressive. I'm not saying they won't win today, but Celtic could have easily drawn or lost.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd

Steaua Bucharest - Rio Ave Possible score: 2-0
In agreement here, honestly I think the margin could be higher. Bar the 1-3 slip up, Steaua have been on good form in multiple leagues, average 2.4 goals in the last 10 games and for the most part dominating their matches. Where as Rio Ave look disappointing, failing to score in 3 of their last 5 games, goal average 0.9 in their last 10 (and even that is highly skewed by one high scoring match, outside of that it's either 0 or 1 goal basically). I was trying to predict which game tonight might be the one with the silly scoreline (you know 6-0 type thing), out of most I'm looking at this one potentially being able to fill that roll. Some teams like to settle down getting two ahead and have the game on a slow burn after that but Steaua seem hungry to keep scoring. Going on Steaua and a bit on the handicap markets as well. Also like the look of Club Brugge, haven't lost a match in 10 games. 6 wins and 4 draws, bar one all score draws. Average goals per game 2.5. FC Copenhagen not doing horribly, but only won half their games, including being beaten by Aab who really aren't doing that well themselves. H2H history is on FC Copenhagens side however, but then again it was with Liverpool last night and we all saw how that went. Also Brugge at home, they haven't lost in the last dozen games. Odds around 1.8-1.9 (best) for the win.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd PAOK vs Fiorentina – Draw @ 3.35 Marathonbet Fiorentina won the first two games of the group against Guingamp and Dinamo Minsk. It’s the only team of the group with 6 points so far. PAOK played badly on the second game week and lost fairly away 2-0 to Guingamp. They smashed Dinamo Minsk on the first day with 6-1 at home. The Greeks are on a brilliant condition, they are winning at their championship, where they sit at the top position after 6 games. They are coming from 5 straight wins at home for all competitions where they scored totally 20 goals! Fiorentina on the other hand will have many key players missing tonight in a very difficult stadium. I don’t think that the Italians will give it all for the win, considering that a game against Milan is only three days away. My pick is draw.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 23rd Hope Paok can step up and get at least a draw tonight. At HT it doesn't look to good... Steaua is dominating the game; has 2-0 at HT but I need to say that Rio Ave has the most phatetic strikers...They are hitting every supporter behind Steaua's net :)

I was going to argue against you, and checked the teams' valuations on transfermarkt expecting Salzburg's team to be valued higher, but both sides are valued about the same on there - around £50 million. Salzburg missed a penalty against Ried, and were certainly the better team (they won 4-2), but they seem to have a hard time adjusting to European competition. Also, as you know, Zagreb is not too far from Salzburg, and psychologically I think this will make it easier for them.
