Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday August 16th Right after the 1st game in the season, Huddersfield have parted ways with their manager Mark Robins. :eyes Shocking decision by management. Cardiff should capitalize on Huddersfield's situation, but most bookmakers have yet to release their Asian Handicap, except: Cardiff -1AH @ 2.20 (MarathonBet) 3/10

Looking at this game, why are Cardiff priced at 1.67 to win it ? Surely they should be around 1.55 ?

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday August 16th

Wolves one of my fancies to go well this season did not let me down last week by beating Norwich. Wolves 8/5 (boyles) looks good for me away to Rotherham who did well against Derby last week but came up short
Not sure I fancy us but to give some basic info. Our matches last season finished 3-3 away at Rotherham and 6-4 at home so goals looks like a decent bet, as I imagine Rotherham will come out and attack us, and there is no way we will play for a 0-0. We have a fully fit squad and should have a decent following as we have had extra tickets made available. Would like to see us at a slightly higher price, though.

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday August 16th 4pts Middlesbrough to beat Leeds 13/10 Ladbrokes Dave Hockaday needs a win soon just to ease the pressure on him but I’m not convinced he is going to get it here because Boro come into the match looking quite strong. There isn’t really an obvious weakness in the Middlesbrough side whereas Leeds look like a side still being put together which has to be a concern for all of their followers. In time they might get a run going but I don’t see it starting yet. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/leeds-vs-middlesbrough-betting-boro-can-continue-their-impressive-start

Not sure, but I think it's decent value to back them at 1.80 Betvictor now. Hudderfield got beat 4-0 followed by a 5-3 (in the extra time win vs Chesterfield) in the league cup midweek. Cardiff should have the fresher set of legs and should beat managerless Huddersfield more times than not I reckon.

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday August 16th To all those looking at backing Cardiff, I was at the Chesterfield v Huddersfield match on Tuesday and for 65-70 minutes Huddersfield were woeful. Chesterfield dominated possession in the first half and deservedly lead 2-0. Nakhi Wells' header seemed to bring Huddersfield to life but they were gifted 2 goals and barely deserved to take the game to ET. There wasn't many changes so that extra 30 minutes may have tired them out ahead of today's game. Cardiff look good on the -1AH. This is the Championship, though...

Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday August 16th Cardiff played a predominantly 2nd string team in midweek, so, despite the extra day's rest for Huddersfield, we have a big enough squad to cope with any tired legs. I'm gonna go for over 2.5 goals again, as this is available at evens/slightly above. Similar reasoning to last week, I think that we are set up to attack and I've not spoken to many city fans who have faith in Solskjaer's defensive set up. I'd settle for a point at Blackburn, in the opening game but this will be a big crowd today and will expect the team to make home advantage pay, with an added expectation that we can hit 3 or 4, given our attacking depth. Again, I'm not convinced that we will have that many clean sheets this season and I'd not be surprised to find that we keep them against the stronger clubs as I can see Solskjaer trying to out-score the so-called lesser teams. Over 2.5 goals.
